You need to download busy box 1.18.4. The one tb installs doesn't work on the xoom.

The flashing zips isnt "within" the app when you open it. Open the app and then hit the top button. This will hijack the boot process. Then press on "success" when it comes up. Then press "reboot recovery". This will reboot your phone into the hijacked recovery and allow you to do a full backup of your phone. Use the volume up/down keys to.navigate and the camera button to select. Go to backup/restore, then backup.

Thx for stoppin by. I've actually read your guide about 20 times So I do what you said and I'm "backed up"...well, thats gotta be good, but I STILL don't see how I flash the 2.3.340deodex.zip that deodex's me.
You simply use the bootstrapper app to boot into recovery and select install zip from SD card then choose zip then navigate to the zip then select it then press yes
Got it.thx

The streaming part of TWC's app was just released. And of course, being the jerks that they are, it doesn't work on rooted devices.
Any workaround?
Don't tell me to clear data. It doesn't work.
Is there any way to run the app without root permission or to fool the app?
I offer a $10 donation to any Dev who can make this work.
There's gotta be a work around... been waiting a while for this

Second the motion...
I believe there are other apps that have been fooled, so I would hope this wouldn't be too hard to get around.
And there's a post on Droid Life that OTA Rootkeeper "and other apps" don't help...
I hate TWC. Everything they do I hate. The app is a great idea, they just shouldnt block users for taking control of their device. Just wait until a fix comes out, like FTW for ios.
OK... got it working. Apparently, all this app checks for is the presence of Superuser.Apk... I went in using Root explorer, System,App... and renamed Superuser to ultrauser (my choice) rebooted phone and vuala Live TV... WINNING... got this info off of another forum but I've gone too far to look back and give props... Sorry... Enjoy!

Help
Jclav,
How did you rename the Superuser.apk? I have tried to figure it out, but I can't. I am trying to get TWC TV to work on my Motorola Triumph that is rooted and I can't figure it out. Can you help me please?
Using root explorer go to the folder where the app is. Click the button at top that says Mount RW. It will then say Mount RO. Then long press the file. Click rename and name it. Then exit root explorer.
Oh how I hope this works on my Kindle Fire. I installed CM9 especially for the TWC live TV but was very disappointed when I couldn't use it.
I will try this tonight. Thanks
Really easy work around for a million dollar company.
This didn't work for me so I installed the app from boosted

Isnt it a little risky changing the superuser?
Will that interfere with anything else that uses superuser by default?
nope.
Will try the method..

Im in root explorer and not seeing the mountRW or mountRO. When I simply long click the superuser app and rename, it does not take. Root Browser shows root access in superuser. I must be missing something.

Look at my screenshot. Tap on the mount button until it looks like mine. You can see I renamed mine to wolf user.apk

currently on the newest stock rom and rooted, and i seem to be unable to run ti backup. it crashes immediately after launch. the only fix i've seen is to clear google play's cache/data and it didn't seem to work for me.

Awhile back there was an issue which could be fixed by uninstalling then reinstalling the Pro key. Perhaps that will fix your issue.

thanks, but sadly, still crashing.
_________
i checked out the authors website. to inquiring minds, there was folder in my sd card called data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup which i deleted as per the website's instructions. that seems to have done the trick.

And if it says no root access while trying to install the newer version of busybox via the app, just try it again. I had the freezing problem while doing batch ops in addition to issues with gesturecontrol so i decided to update the busybox binary, failed the first time but when i tried it again the install went through.
I am rooted and on pa 2.13 ROM but titanium back up days no. I do have the supetuser app but not the su app. Do I need that? Thought they were the same. Not sure how to get it working. Wanted to back up apps
Thanks

When you open TB it should ask iff superuser should allow this program

Try rebooting. Worked for me
You may have to go into Superuser and clear your history of allowed apps. If you accidentally hit deny (or hit back when the Superuser request box came up), TB won't be able to get root access and won't work.
make sure busybox is installed.

This happened to me when the Rom I was installing failed to set the correct permissions on superuser. Download the flashible zip for superuser and flash it in cwm...if that fixed it, you are made in the shade!

you may also want to update binaries, and just clear cache for TB and SU
In addition to all the above helpful comments....Make sure you also go into Developer Options and select "USB Debugging" and also under Security...select "Unknown Sources". That usually causes issues when trying to run TB also.
There's an app called Root Checker which will check your root status. It's free. The paid version, Root Check Pro, also checks for busybox.
Both on Play Store.
Dave
All suggestions are correct above plus:Wipe data for titanium in the applications area under settings, this happens to me every so often when changing rom's. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling will fix it too. Make sure su is fully updated as well.

Curious to see if anyone has experienced any issues with TiBu after their latest update?
each time I try to enter the app, it gets stuck at "asking for roots right".
I checked supersu, and TiBu is not listed there anymore.
any suggestions on how to grant it supersu access again?
thanks!
Still using superuser with latest binary update. TB working fine.
Still Charged Up
on tibu if you hit menu button on your phone and select reload app it will ask for root rights again... not sure if that's what you are asking

I was, but could not get back into the app. A simple reboot did the trick.
tappin' that....
TiBu periodically does this to me. When it happens I just go to manage apps and force stop it.
