Hi guys,
Everyday when I go into the market this notification comes out.
" Attention
A network error has occurred retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen"
This comes out at least 3-4 times a day. Is their something wrong with my phone?
~ thanks
Possibly, or it could just be that you have a weak data connection. I get that error occasionally, though typically nowhere near as often as you claim to. Sometimes there will be trouble with Google's servers or with one of the points between the phone and them, in which case you may get a spate of errors within a period of time. If it does that regardless of where you are and how good your signal is, it may be a phone issue. Unfortunately, I can't provide much more insight than that.
Thanks for the reply.
I guess it could be that I hav my phone on wifi the whole time could that be the problem?

Let me start by saying that I LOVE this phone and I really don't want to give it up.
I'm having issues where the signal drops out even if I'm sitting still, sometimes I'll lose both cell and data, others just cell, and sometimes it will show one bar, but as soon as I try to use the phone it'll drop to nothing. This is esp. bad at my office (where I spend A LOT of time). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I had a BB for 10 months in this same building with the same carrier (Mobilicity) and never had these issues.
This is the only thing that is bothering me about this phone right now. I'm running CM7.1RC1 currently.
Does anyone have any tips or fixes that might help this situation so that I don't try to sell the phone?
Hi guys
I've tried researching this issue from time to time but have never been able to find any definitive information. A couple of threads around the traps detailing similar problems, but that's it. Anyway, what happens is this: the phone will be showing a couple of bars or whatever, but there actually isn't any signal at all. Calls can be initiated, but wont actually connect, and then can't be ended either. The only way to resolve the issue is to reboot the phone, or activate airplane mode and then deactivate it again (which tends to take considerably longer than a simple reboot). I'm calling it a radio crash because that's what it seems to be, but I could of course be wrong about what is actually going on under the hood.
This post is basically part of an effort to diagnose the problem before I decide what this phone's future will be (have a new, different model on the way now).
Thanks for reading, and any advice/information will be much appreciated
It sounds as if you have a defective phone, or it could be you carrier.
Have you tried a different phone.
Do other people have the same problem with that carrier
You could also think of it like this, carrier problem, you can connect to wifi if it doesnt have internet connection, it still can show full bars but nothing will load

I have an SGS3 now, with the same SIM in it (cut down to micro of course). Average signal strength (as reported by third party apps that don't pad) is about the same, but no dropouts at all (as monitored and reported by the No Signal Alert app). However the SGS3 supports both my carrier frequencies, and the Atrix 2 doesn't. Having said that, the SGS3 seems to stay on 2100MHz all the time anyway where I am.
I've also put a different SIM in my Atrix 2, from a network that is more compatible (850/2100), and although the dropouts are less frequent, they are still occurring. However, I haven't had a "radio driver crash" in over a week. The dropouts have only been momentary too, lasting no more than a few seconds, 1-3 times per day (mostly in the afternoon).
I'm also planning to charge the phone up and leave it at a couple of other locations for a day or two while continuing to monitor signal interruptions. Should be interesting.
Thanks for the reply
Just a quick update: left the phone at another location for a few days where the average signal strength is stronger, and not a single dropout was logged during that time. In certain areas this phone is obviously not as good as some others at maintaining a signal, but I don't think the dropouts themselves are indicative of a fault given this new information.
The previous instances of radio lockups/crashes are still haunting me a little, but this strange phenomenon is still yet to occur again. I also forgot to mention that I'd previously done a full restoration of the official 4.0.4 ICS release in order to return to the phone completely to stock, which might have something to do with that. Previously it was rooted, with only some minor modifications, but I guess it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
Wait i have an idea
Send me your apn data.
Motorola doesnt have the best antennas either.
Also does it crash at a certain time after it is turned on or is it random?

Hello everyone. As the title says, I have a nexus 5 and for the past week and a half it has not been getting any signal. I would get a very very weak signal when I go outside sometimes. Not even enough to make a phone call. This had made me think it was a hardware error so I replaced the daughter-board, speakers, antenna cables, and even the back cover. Still no luck. I've formatted and flash stock so many times I can't count. I am truly at a loss at this point, which is why I have come here to ask for help. I had read through so many threads on here, yet nothing has solved my issue. So please, if anyone has an idea or a suggestion for me, please feel free to tell it to me. Thank you for any help offered. I will not be able to reply at the time I make this post because I have errands to run but, will return in an hour or so. Thank you guys for any help offered.
EDIT:
back now. while I was running my errand I noticed my phone randomly had full bars of LTE covereage and I received a few missed texts, voicemails and was able to even open a link that was sent to me. This was short lived and then it was still displaying full bars with LTE yet not being able to browse the internet or make calls. I have noticed while toying around with it that when I am on radio band 6 I seem to get *better* signal. As in any at all. I have no idea what it can be at this point. My IMEI is clean and it seems to be able to find the networks but not able to actually connect.
Normally I wouldn't post this sort of thing, but over the last few months (maybe years) this issue continues to persist. It has occurred on not only my S6, but also my Optimus G before I upgraded.
The issue appears, as is visible in the image below, in the form of a network drop. This drop occurs on both 3G or 4G networks for up to a minute sometimes, every few hours or some days not at all. The phone doesnt show a drop (the little 4G icon stays visible), but nothing on the phone web browser is available. The device is rooted and I very often have my hotspot active and a device or two connected, hence the dos window screenshot.
The issue occurs irrespective of location; before I moved last May it happened at my last place, a good 40 minute drive away. I have recently been pulling my hair out one by one as these network disruptions have become insanely annoying. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if maybe Sprint is pissed at the 150-250GB+ data usage monthly and is seeking to punish me, though if they really didnt like it, they'd just drop my contract. I have not noticed throttling; once the network is back the 4G returns with good speed.
Ive searched high and low for months, called sprint numerous times, dug through every google search page I can think of, looked here on xda, and have **** to show for it. Has anyone else seen these issues or heard of something like it? Im running out of brain for this issue...
Cheers,
My phone has been working perfectly ever since day 1 on the release but ever since the latest security update which was for April 1st 2017 that VZW pushed around 5/3/2017, my phone connection drops from 4G Full service to no service or data instantly. This happens very frequently, especially if i am moving around. The phone looks for service when this happens and then eventually the phone automatically restarts, causing my battery to just get really hot and eventually drop in percentage. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues? I tried googling for answers, but to no availability and when i call VZW, Google, or LG they just keep pointing the finger to go to the other party to get it resolved. I just tried factory resetting and still have the same issues pending. Anyone with help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm having similar data connection issues, yes! Thank goodness, someone else.
I've blown through data ever since the security update, using as much as 100-300MB chunks at a time judging by my Verizon history (and I never stream video or anything that would come anywhere close to those numbers). I also notice that when I start up navigation, it says "no data service," even though I clearly am connected to 4G (it eventually relents and connects me). I also have been having huge problems receiving group and picture messages, to the point where I've factory reset and it's only now gotten a little better.. but with messages, you never know what you're actually missing, you know?
I haven't had the issues you say regarding a hot battery and automatic restarts, though. They really need to patch this.
