Problem with Android Project and Mercurial - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hey,
I'm not really new to this forum but I was only a quiet reader and no great "poster". So I wasn't allowed to post in the development section. (I also don't wanted to post some useless spam only to get those 10 Posts, Would there be any other way to enable this for me?).
My Problem:
I configured a Mercurial Repository (hosted by Bitbucket) and uploaded an Android Project from my netbook. Everything worked (and works) fine so far (I'm able to Commit&Push changes).
But as I try to clone/import the repository on my other Computer, Eclipse doesn't recognizes my Project as an Android Project and that "Convert to Android Project" doesnt't work. (Using Ubuntu 10.10)
So, I guess there are a couple of great devs out there in this forum, that have experience with how to import an Mercurial-hosted Android Project into your workspace. Please help me
Greetings,
Ansgar
P.S. Sorry if I posted in wrong category or did some spelling mistakes (I'm an 16-year-old German boy).

Sorry for disturbing you guys.
Figured out which files to ignore and which not. Will post the .hgignore tomorrow in case someone finds this thread by searching.
Greetings Ansgar

[DEV] GoogleCode page for Android on Photon

Hi devs (schlund, devras, tzacapaca, anynymous devs & future devs)
Since Cardsharing deleted all the photon kernel repository on GIT website (thank you Cardsharing), we need to do it again.
I suggest we use Google Code:
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/GettingStarted
Google code has a project src hosting (for devs), a bug tracker (for devs and users), a wiki (for n00bs) and a download section.
The drawback is, all of you guys need a google ID to use it.
Otherwise we can continue with a new GIT repository, or use google SVN for that, or any other tool of your suggestion.
What do you think?
ok sorry i forgot, codiak already created this page for photon:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/
let's use this!
Sry for spamming, but why did Cardsharing delete all hes posts ?

Though cardsharing is a great developer but is being childish at this time. He just believe r0bin, schlund and other developers are not supporting him.
@cardsharing: stop acting rude dude. Think evaone is developing their part of job and developing their part of work. Please don't act so badly and help us porting android on hd mini.
thanks r0bin, schlund and other developers for porting android for us.

This release has been done by Schlund, using his new kitchen!
To my knowledge, it is similar to the previous latest release, but thanks to schlund's kitchen it takes less space.
Schlund's Kitchen is a tool for devs (many thanks Schlund, this tool is very powerful!)
It allows you to update and modify easily the files stored inside system.ext2, init.rd and kernel and generate those files for test & release.
Schlund also wrote a wiki here:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/wiki/GettingStartedWithTheKITCHEN
Regarding releases changes, don't worry, if there is any bug fixed this will be posted on the forum.
Till now, we're still working on 3G, little progress:
photon can now be "attached" to GPRS, next step is IP configuration.
be patient...
Thank you for your answer Robin.. & Thanks for schlund also.
No problem.. I will be patient
I just wanted to say if new packages, as I said: Please if something new we must know.. for helping or something else..
Anyway Thanks

Anyone want to help to start Codename Android again ?

Codename Android died somehow due to the main developer being inactive. I want to revive the whole project making it developer independent. So if one leaves the others can still work on it.
I only don't know how to setup git. But I know Java and XML well. Anyone up?
Before you go any further, I suggest checking out this thread, and the links in the OP, first.

Oh ok. I will mail him ask him if I can be of any help. Thanks.
No problem. Good luck!

[Q] Forum to post newcomer ROM?

Hi,
I've never been active on xda, but I've recently started my own ROM.
I've uploaded all the code to github. I'm currently building the ROM again (to verify the upload) and put a binary on my root server....
Everything is fine so far. Except that it's impossible to write about it on xda. (Or on goo.im, but I don't expect too much interrest, I'll just put it on my root server).
So... Is there a more newcomer friendly forum where I could discuss a new ROM? And post links to github or deeplink to a update.zip file? Or should I just post 9x "Awesome ROM!" to get a good enough karma?

[Q] How to move on with building android from source?

Hello, first of all, forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum section; I'm sorta new here, and this is my first topic.
Second of all, I'm not an experienced android programmer and I'm also a teenager, so sorry if I sound like a noob; dont expect me to know all that you guys suggest. Also I have some basic experience with Java coding. (sorry if this is all off-topic but just giving a heads-up and letting you know so that you can maybe change your answers a bit so I can understand)
But ANYWAY, what I'm trying to do this for is to eventually port cyanogenmod to my device.
I currently cannot post links because I'm new here; look up "building android from source", and it should say "Getting Started: building android from source" at the fifth link from the top (xda-university).
I'm stuck at "installing repo and syncing".
What url should I put in "URL to android manifest"? (And yes, I am using Terminal in an Ubuntu VM) And now that I think of it, it should be some link of cyanogenmod but my device isn't supported; no repository for my phone. Correct me if I'm wrong. If it helps, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G (SCH-R820).
Again, sorry if I sound like such a noob, it's probably because I am.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Sorry, just found out I was in the wrong forum section, can someone delete this thread or show me how to do so? thanks...

[Completed] [Q] Asus T100 TAF and Wifi

Hello,
I need your help guys.
I installed ubuntu on my Asus T100 TAF using the magic stick http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...opment/live-asus-t100-ta-magic-stick-t3091481
Grub and all the booting stuff is ok however.
Wifi is not Working !!!
After looking through this google+ community https://plus.google.com/communities/117853703024346186936
Kernel 4.1 was posted through the community and I installed it hoping my Wifi would work. Nothing. Not working
After, I saw that someone with the same computer than mine posted a Kernel version that would make wifi work.
Here's the link to the github: https://github.com/pinkflozd/T100TAF_kernel/
The thing is that I have absolutely no clue how to install this. It's an uncompiled kernel.Could you please assist me on the subject ?!
More info:
Before arriving to that point, I tried installing brcmfmac43241b4-sdio.txt and brcmfmac43241b4-sdio.bin according to https://linuxnorth.wordpress.com/2014/08/28/establishing-wi-fi-connectivity-on-the-t100/
But, no sign of wifi connection
According to someone on the google+ community, the right driver for my computer is brcmfmac43340.bin, but I have no clue on how to find the .txt(nvram file)
Also, sound is not working but the previously posted uncompiled kernel apparently fixes all the previously mentioned problems.
Heres the actual Google+ Posting of the kernel version for my asus t100taf, its the second post.https://plus.google.com/112460475763080321634/posts
All help would be appreciated. thank you very much !!
