Hey Folks,
When I try to enable 5.1 surround, the app asks me to turn off effects. I don't see option to turn it off Does anyone know how to turn off audio effects and enable 5.1. Is there anyone else who has the same problem?
Thanks
Manohar
hit menu.... go to more, then you should see settings, go there... and then set the equalizer and effects both to normal and then go back and hit 5.1 and it shud work just fine....
Same issue as OP. Thanks for the tip.

hi,
is there a regsitry tweak to enable audio booster in bluetooth headset?
Thanks.
hi
plz tell me if you find thnx
I'd like to know the answer to this too.
No, only WoW SRS will work via bluetooth, I personally prefer it anyway.
Wow SRS?
I haven't seen any options for this either. Anyone know how to turn this on/off on the HD2?
i think nitrogen player(w/ equalizer) works. my problem is i don't know how to play all my music on nitrogen player,, its like only a certain chosen album can be able to play???
Agree, SRSWOW HD I think is the only one, unless you use audio booster and Audio Route together, might work?

Yes, and very easy!
turn on your BT device, and leave it next to your HTC
Go to settings/comm manager/ Bluetooth/
Your HTC your instaled BT
Click on it, then will be 3 tabs click on the setings.
then click on advanced/ Audio, and cick on the check box "Play system sounds ...device" and done.
Either my HTC Pure does not have this option or I am not understanding how to find it. Could you please show a screen shot of this 'audio settings page' with "Play system sound...device"

Sorry, but the procedure you've just described doesn't work with HD2.
Checking the box doesn't change anything and if you try to activate Booster Audio while BT is on, the system pops up with the same error warning.
Look forward to getting further help
When I have my headphones plugged in to my charge and try and select 5.1 audio it says "5.1 can only be activated when all effects are off" but I have all effects off. Any ideas?

While in the Music Player app, hit the Settings button, then Settings Option, set the Equalizer and the Effect to "Normal". Then it should work. Mine does, sounds great.

+1. All settings have to be set to normal, effects and EQ. Otherwise you'll get that message. It took me a while to figure that out on my old Vibrant.
that happened to me on my droid charge. my effects was normal but equalizer was on auto and i didnt see the normal option below it so i thought that auto meant off. fixed it and it sounds amazing
Im not sure what happened, but my speaker phone has stopped working. I nolonger can hear ringtones or listen to music from it. Im not sure if I might of deleted the sound file for it. Im currently running CM7 v10 and I have sound enabled etc. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
its a known bug in cm7 roms. you have to reboot to fix it. or, go into cm settings, sounds, and apply play notifications in all of the options.
hit thanks
Hey there all I'm running stock android KitKat 4.4.2 rooted with CWM and I have notes recently that the sound equalizer option in the sound configuration menu is disabled even though the MusicFX is enabled in the device, I tried installing Volume+ as a temporary fix and when trying to open it it crashes.
As a reminder when setting the android sound enhancer, it doesn't matters which I choose they both crash.
Any ideas about what causes them to crash and a possible solution will be appreciated and tested
When im using MaxxAudio, the sound doesn't seem to change when I go through the EQ settings or the MaxxVolume stuff.
Is it anything like Viper4Android where you have to load the driver on startup or something?
Im running stock 4.4.4 CM 11.0-xnph05q .

Bumpity Bump.
Still not sure whats up with MaxxAudio. It doesnt have any effect on the sound. If I use the enhancements in PowerAmp, they work fine and increase the bass etc, just a bit annoying that its limited to only that app and the built in effects dont seem to work for me

In poweramp tap the equaliser tone /volume to go to the stock equaliser tone /vol screen
Make sure music fx is enabled, then long press on music fx to change the sound
Of that doesn't work
In poweramp settings-audio - advanced, make sure music fx is enabled
