hi,
is there a regsitry tweak to enable audio booster in bluetooth headset?
Thanks.
hi
plz tell me if you find thnx
I'd like to know the answer to this too.
No, only WoW SRS will work via bluetooth, I personally prefer it anyway.
Wow SRS?
I haven't seen any options for this either. Anyone know how to turn this on/off on the HD2?
i think nitrogen player(w/ equalizer) works. my problem is i don't know how to play all my music on nitrogen player,, its like only a certain chosen album can be able to play???
Agree, SRSWOW HD I think is the only one, unless you use audio booster and Audio Route together, might work?

Yes, and very easy!
turn on your BT device, and leave it next to your HTC
Go to settings/comm manager/ Bluetooth/
Your HTC your instaled BT
Click on it, then will be 3 tabs click on the setings.
then click on advanced/ Audio, and cick on the check box "Play system sounds ...device" and done.
Either my HTC Pure does not have this option or I am not understanding how to find it. Could you please show a screen shot of this 'audio settings page' with "Play system sound...device"

Sorry, but the procedure you've just described doesn't work with HD2.
Checking the box doesn't change anything and if you try to activate Booster Audio while BT is on, the system pops up with the same error warning.
Look forward to getting further help

Hi,
Does anybody know if there is some sort of equalizer application available for the TD2? Prefferably one that works with a2dp. I use my diamond2 to stream music to my Parrot MKI9000 carkit via a2dp. The music sounds good but a little flat. The parrot only has an option to boost the bass. I would like to have a bit more control.
Thanx!!
I tried HD Tweak to activate HTC Booster without the cable headset connected.
But the equalizer settings doesn't have any effects
I also tried SRS WOW, but the 1.5 version was not able to run ...
Hopefully HTC activates the Booster for bluetooth devices with the next ROM.
Got SRS WOW working although a bit buggy
Hi.
I managed to get SRS WOW working. It is a bit buggy.
It doesn't remember all settings after a soft-rest.
Sometimes device won't turn on. Have to soft-reset.
Not all settings have a desired effect. It seems that the equalize options aren't optimized for the Diamond2.
But if you fiddle a bit with the settings you get quite a good sound.
The file attached is the version i got working.
Install the cabs, import the reg file, soft-reset and you're good to go.
Burning Wheels
Do you, or anyone else, happen to know if this will work with the original Touch (elf).
Alternatively can you recommend an equalizer that will work with bluetooth and the Touch
Thanks
I don't know if this works on the Touch (elf). Maybe you can ask this in the Touch (elf) forum.

I'm running 0.82 and it has no feature in the settings. Only thing that is close is the shake to change song feature but is no use to me as i cycle off road most of the time (otherwise i would have it straped to my bike )
Have looked High and Low... No luck..

•added option "Override WMP for remote control" in case your device remote control is hard-coded to WMP
it's in the advanced menu, well try it, with htc headset only play/pause button works for me

Thanks mate, I have also got this working.
I should of been a little more specific.. I was after full functionality,
Nothing worse than bombing it down the track only to have one of my B rate tunes kick in.. In itself can be enough to cause a accident
Now i know people will start going on about playlists n things but would rather be able to just skip to what i fancy.
Thanks again tho mate!
Always appreciated!
I have Tmobile USA Sensation 4G with Equalizer app isntalled to boost the audio quality.
When I play music, everything goes smoothly as long as the phone display is on.
Once the screen goes blank, the sound quality just all of sudden drops back to like when there is no Equalizer app installed.
But the funny thing is after I wait like 2 minute or so (with the screen still blank), the sound quality will come back good again.
The sound quality will also come back when I unlock the screen.
Does anybody know what's causing this glitch? and if yes, what's the solution.
Oh btw, I never root the phone. Everything is just as like when I got it the first time.
Thank you for the help in advance.
Do you have advanced task manager installed? If so, is it set to turn off programs at screen off? I suspect it is and you need to add the equalizer app to the ignore list.

Thanks, fastbeemer.
I don't use Advanced task Manager but Automatic Task Killer and they work pretty much the same.
After I checked the kill list and uncheck the equalizer, the problem disappear.
But the funny thing is I can't replicate the problem. Which means I tried to put equalizer on the kill list again but it's not turned off even after screen lock.
Well, anyway that's a good thing for me
Thanks again for the help.
When im using MaxxAudio, the sound doesn't seem to change when I go through the EQ settings or the MaxxVolume stuff.
Is it anything like Viper4Android where you have to load the driver on startup or something?
Im running stock 4.4.4 CM 11.0-xnph05q .

Bumpity Bump.
Still not sure whats up with MaxxAudio. It doesnt have any effect on the sound. If I use the enhancements in PowerAmp, they work fine and increase the bass etc, just a bit annoying that its limited to only that app and the built in effects dont seem to work for me

In poweramp tap the equaliser tone /volume to go to the stock equaliser tone /vol screen
Make sure music fx is enabled, then long press on music fx to change the sound
Of that doesn't work
In poweramp settings-audio - advanced, make sure music fx is enabled

No problem
Been there, done that
This is a life saver for parents
o to Settings - sound and vibration - Seperate App sound (all the way at the bottom)
turn on and pick the app you want(limited to 1 app at a time)
Then choose the location (I chose Music to bluetooth)
This way I can still listen to music and be able to hand my daughter my phone so she can watch youtube
Impressive, didn't think of that as a use case. Although I don't think I'll be handing anyone my phone just yet
For example (?) : can you watch a video/broadcast mute (sport game), and listen TuneIn ( running commentary ) at the same time ?
Actually android is deeply missing basic audio mix table !
Also can you (lucky owners) tell us if :
-AKG earphone are ip68 waterproof ?
-Google Music can be uninstall/disable ?
-is embedded EQ working with any browser/video app ?
Thx for sharing...

I have a specific question/problem related to this:
Currently I have Google Play Music assigned to Bluetooth.
This is cool because in the car, I can play music - but then play a game or something at the same time.
HOWEVER.....
In order for this to actually work, you have to go to the audio connections hub thing in the notification shade.
And switch your audio output to the phone.
THEN with the audio output set to the phone - itll use the override and send the play music to bluetooth.
You seemingly have to do this every time (I even used Tasker and Autotools custom settings, trying to detect which setting gets changed and make it automatic.... but couldn't see a related changed setting in the settings lists).
A bigger problem though, amidst my messing around to try to make this work better....
I selected "turn off connections manager" option.
Now I don't get that stuff in the notification shade at all.
And I cannot find a single setting that lets me access it again!
So now I can never use separate app audio.
Can someone help me!?!?!?
I have found this feature usefull for SatNav.
I have the phone connected to car bluetooth, so ALL audio on previous phones goes to the car - so as im listening to streaming radio etc, the satnav voice from TomTom kicks in and can be quite annoying - especially as I only want the voice for traffic and speed cameras.
With this feature, I can still stream music to the car but have the audio come through the phone speaker - well done Samsung

Same, once disabled there doesn't appear to be a way to get it to reappear

Give SoundAbout a look. There isn't much it can't manage.
One of my issues with the Google ChromeCast is that when the phone is used as a source, all audio is sent over that ChromeCast connection.
You cannot divert the audio to Bluetooth for bluetooth speakers/headphones.
Does anyone know if this new Samsung feature will allow you to divert ChromeCast audio to Bluetooth?
That would be pretty darn cool if it did.
EDIT: Btw, I don't have the Samsung phone.
I was linked here from a Google Pixel thread. But I'm really interested to know the answer to my question above.

Download Sound Assistant from Samsung in the play store. When you adjust volume hit the icon and then expand the window. To the right of the app volume slider you can switch sound output.
Found the "Audio output" control! Yess!!

Thanks to the post above I was finally able to find the setting to enable the option to select the Audio output on my phone (Samsung S8+) see pictures attached. So if you've lost the option to select the audio output of you S8 follow these steps. (Not to be confused with with Separate app sound, which routes different apps to a bluetooth or phone output)
Find the Samsung Connect app
Click on the three dots to bring down the menu
Tap Settings
Tap Samsung Connect panel
Ensure this is turned on
Tap on Always show
and Finally tap on Audio output << This is the one! :good:
