tried to size for quality and playback, but the boot time crunching still glitches it sometimes.
bootanimation.zip
bootanimation.zip
Same as other animations;
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/ for root overwrite or
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local to preserve original
Old one - bit naff
Just put this one together. Just playing to see what I could do. Bit on the large size so I may have to trim it a bit.
bootanimation.zip
Smaller bootanimation.zip
Not an artist and a bit of wishful thinking with the honeycomb version number
Will try and refine it later.
Edit. Uploaded gif preview and smaller zip (obviously this will need to be renamed to bootanimation.zip for pushing)
Looks good man, thanks!

Why not place it in /data/local ?
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
Placing it in system/media overwrites the original.
If placed in data/local you still have the option of deleting it and reverting back to original
just my opinion

Yep, true. When I originally posted the 'norm' was to overwrite system/media and I never got around to editing this - did not get much response from it anyhoo.
Was my first attempt and it isn't great. This one is a bit better and working on a new one with my 'bad bee'
bootanimation.zip
Edit -
Added new anims to OP and updated adb instructions for non rooters.
Nice Work
Found this boot animation soon after getting the transformer (about a month ago), while trying out different roms I somehow lost it. Today, I finally found it again...yeah! IMO this has to be one of the best animations out there. Thanks for your work on this......
Sorry for the question but i' can"t see :
/system/media/ or /data/local
Where are this folders??
Thx
In File Manager, untick the Hide System Files. These folders will appear.

It has to be one of the best Boot Animations I've seen.
Can someone make this into a live wallpaper?
If you want to use the CyanogenMod version remove the CM in the name of the file before you push!

No but I can post the audio file when I get home. Or you can look it up.
I'd like to try out this boot animation (with sound) as well. where did you find it?

It was actually First seen in Nexus Froyo ROM and CM6 before it was put in Sky Raider Rom. I just found this out myself. lol
i'm not going to root my phone until after the 2.2 OTA is released at the end of the month. any way i can get a zip with the bootanimation and mp3 to push to my phone?
NEVERMIND... i see the update. thanks!
It's not letting me unzip the .mp3, saying unknown format.

well you don't need root to push to your phone. so you can always push it afterwards.
the .mp3 zip won't uncompress. it keeps telling me that it's an unknown format.

you don't uncompress it. you just remove the .zip extension.
but as of now I can't get the audio to work correctly so its useless. i am going to pull the file now.
And also, the original is better than the CM version. the transitions are better.
Any way we can get it to show just red like the cyan version?
I'm running PMF v1.2 OTA version and can't seem to get this working. I've adb push'd the bootanimation.zip to /data/local with no luck and also to /system/media where PMF keeps it to no luck as well. Every boot I get a black screen till the OS is loaded. Anyone have any suggestions?
The only difference I can think of is that I did apply the OTA but that's lower level than the bootsplash...
Don't know if this helps or not, but here is the image as an animation. I have no idea how to make it where it can be used as live wallpaper.
(Rename .zip to .gif)
i hope someone will make a live WP with this.
Can this be used on EVO?

The reason why audio will not work is that the first folder (or only folder if not more than one) holding the images for the boot animation needs to be named android. and the Desc.txt should reflect the folder name android. So basically, part0 folder needs to be renamed to android. And in desc.txt part0 also needs to be renamed to android

I could have sworn I tried that. But I will try again later tonight if I remember. Or if you can get working, we'd all much appreciate it!
Try these with whatever audio file you have/want.
So I can't get my custom boot animation to show. It's just a black screen when i reboot nothing more, I have done the 3rd line trick, I'm pretty sure my desc.txt is correct. I will upload my bootanimation.zip so people can hopefully correct me.
I have the Evo 3D running MIUI.
One more thing is when i copy over my bootanimation.zip to my phone no matter if its adb push or sdcard mount it never copys over the numbers in order. For instance i would copy over my bootanimation.zip and it would go in the order of 1,102,103,115 ect....
EDIT:I realized my files and my desc were not the same name so I changed that..Stupid mistake, I changed the compresion to store instead of normal, I made sure i had a third line using notepad++, and yet i still get a black screen...I think it might be because when i copy over my they don't stay in the order they were in origanlly. I will post a screen shot of this.

Lastly i added the newly updated bootanimation.zip that i tried fixing...
EDIT2:I finally got it to show up!! I think it may have been the pics per second were to fast. I had it at 13 originally and changed it to 5 that seemed to work as it shows now...The only problem im having is the files are still not in order as shown above.

make sure that when you compress the file to zip its set to "store" and the option is set to add and update files. Also make sure that you leave a blank line in the end of the desc.txt file.
(Note) if you have modified the files inside the archive then you have to compress the zip again with the same settings

Based on the guide that provided by Android Authority
Copy the corresponding bootanimation.zip to your devices SDCard. Using Root Explorer or ES File Explorer, place the new bootanimation.zip file in /system/media/. (You may want to backup your previous bootanimation.zip as well.)
You can also use "boot animation changer" it less of a hassle then go trough the exploren.
Just a tip, select the boot animation you want and youre golden. I am just lazy.
You can also just copy it to /data/local.
Android will use the /data/local boot animation before /system/media.
No need to backup the boot animation in /system/media.
If you want to go back to the original boot animation, just delete the one you copied to /data/local.
Problem half bootanimation
Hi
I'm sorry but I have a problem with this bootanimation.
I copy the bootanimation as bootanimation.zip into the folder /data/local/, when I restart my device, I have only the part0 of the bootanimation.
Do you know what's happens and if there is a solution?
Thanks
I find the solution, there are two ".db" files in the filder part0 and part1,
to do it working, you have to delete these files.
Bye
Also make sure you give the boot animation full permissions after you move it to /system/media or /data/local.
fantastic, I've previusly the 9th bootanimation but it was a little slow....this one goes faster (as the gif you posted) thank you very much
doing one more, i really liked this clip from the movie. decided to make a bootanimation but i wanted to keep it landscape. so here it is, give it a shot, it includes poweron and poweroff sounds. let me know what you think
below are the previews (speed and size are different for previews) and download links. inside the zip you will find these files:
bootsamsung.qmg - move to /system/media/ and change permissions to rw-r-r
bootsamsungloop.qmg - move to /system/media/ and change permissions to rw-r-r
PowerOn.ogg - move to /system/media/audio/ui/ and change permissions to rw-r-r
PowerOff.ogg - move to /system/media/audio/ui/ and change permissions to rw-r-r
shutdown.qmg - move to /system/media/ and change permissions to rw-r-r

you need root for changing your bootscreen with these files. once rooted, use a root browser to backup orginal files with .bak extension and then copy the new files into the folder and change permissions as stated in original post above.

Samsung does boot animation their own way, limiting our choices somewhat.
Anyone have slick custom boot animations they want to share/link?

Above are the sources of the animations. I did not create these animations and if you like them, please consider making donations to their designers.
I took the original files and modified and converted them utilizing the Samsung Theme Designer. I rearranged some of the background loop/frame and timing of the frames and converted the .zip to .QMG as they could not be used on Samsung in their original format.
YOU CAN NOT FLASH THESE FILES.
I have combined the two boot animations for my own taste . You can check it out and download it if you wish from here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BybuwSbkEDEqNHlqWVBlZEk2cGc?usp=sharing
You need to know what you are doing, I am not responsible for your phone. Make sure you have a backup. Snapdragon does not have TWRP therefore for backup for S7. I suggest , you have an Original Firm Ware Downloaded for all intense and purposes. Last time I checked , Sam's Mobile has the wrong Firmware for Download for G935TUVU3APG1 . I have downloaded mine from https://samsung-firmware.org/ and paid $7.00 for faster download. It's worth every penny of it.
1) You need a rooted Samsung Edge S7 or S7 phone. Boot and Boot Loop files are 1080 x 1920, shutdown is 960x540 (but it looks very clear)
2) Make a Folder in your download folder named backupQMG and another folder named NewQMG
3) Upload the (bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg shutdown.qmg) files you have downloaded from the Google Shared Drive to /Download/NewQMG
3) go to /System/Media/ bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg shutdown.qmg ( copy and paste the files to your Download/backupQMG)
4) go to /System/Media/ bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg shutdown.qmg (delete these files)
5) Goto /Downlod/ NewQMG/ bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg shutdown.qmg , copy these files and and paste them to System/Media/
6) Set the permissions .Before pasting these files, your root explorer wil ask you to to change the Mount R/W to Mount R/O. Click ok
7) After pasting these files, long click on each one of them seperately and select permissions.
Set them as such
Read Write Execute
owner x x
Group x x
Others x
tha's it. Those are All the X's . By the way this method is applicable of all of the .QMG BootAnimation File replacements.
Be careful, when in doubt, don't do it, particularly if you haven't downloaded the Original Firmware. When you have the FirmWare, if you make a mistake, it just becames an irritation because it takes a long time to get back all of the setting even with the TB. I wish, We get TWRP soon like the Exynox
