So ASUS latest limited push firmware and mobiledock update seems to have fixed all the issues with the keyboard dock. Now I have to ask is there a way to "flip" the default trackpad two finger responses? it seems backwards to me the dragging down on the trackpad moves the screen up and dragging right causes te screen to go left, exact opposite of what these motions would cause when performed on the screen itself.
EDIT - actually up and down behaves correctly. For me, left/right doenst' scroll...

Should have my dock tomorrow... Was this an OTA update? When was it released?

How is it the opposite? Dragging down makes the screen go up for example. so I wouldn't say it's the opposite.
Good to hear about the update though. Hopefully in the UK it will come preinstalled, still waiting for them to be shipped.

on my stock dock dragging down for up (just like doing on the touch screen) is fine, but dragging right to left should go to the right screen but instead goes to the left. could be laucherpro causing this maybe? i haven't used the stock launcher at all on the tf as i really didn't like it on the xoom.
I haven't gotten any push update. I have the transformer and the dock.
Strange.

It is not out yet. The developer that created the update has sent it to a few people for testing. Is in Beta and has bricked at least one dock. But for most people it seems to fix wifi connectivity, freezes and other doc related issues.
The OTA update should occur soon.
Thank goodness. My trackpad is dead. It worked when I first hooked up the dock, hasn't worked for about a day. Fail Asus.

Don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me the first day. In fact, I'd posted that my trackpad had stopped working in the first half hour, but now I realize I'd probably turned it off. My dock has been simply flawless.

on the screen if you place your finger at the top and drag down the screen follows your finger, if you push up again it follows your finger and goes up, same with left and right, however if you use the two finger gesture on the trackpad starting from the top and pulling down causes the screen to scroll up, bottom to top causes the screen to scroll down, moving left causes the screen to go right, moving right goes left just the opposite from what would happen if you put your fingers on the screen itself.
Strange, it's fine on my stock firmware tablet and dock, two finger swipe down pages down, up does up, left goes left and right goes right. Ah, I see the misnomer. When you're using 2 finger scrolling, think of your fingers as a cursor and all will be clear. Moving the fingers right moves the cursor right which causes the screen to go left (in order to see the right side of the screen).
TBH, I kind of like it the way it is. It should be something you can change though, in the settings menu. I really want the trackpad to do pinch to zoom though >_<

Does anybody encounter any freezing on the keyboard dock for their Transformer? I just got my keyboard dock today, and every time I hook up the tablet to the keyboard dock, the mouse pad works for some time and then completely freezes. I can confirm that the tablet is properly connected, because I can hear the firm 'click' of the button, and it goes from being in the unlocked to locked position. Do you think it might be an issue with charging? Does the dock need to be charged fully? Or can the dock function on the tablet's battery? Or is it just a plain ol' bug that needs to be ironed out by Asus?
Any help/advice would be appreciated!

My software is indeed up-to-date as of yesterday, to the latest 8.2.3.9 firmware. Considering that others are also having this same issue here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063853), it looks like a software bug to me, and a really annoying one at that. It essentially renders the keyboard useless after a minute or so.
Asus, please help!

The trackpad disable key is the 4th button from the left on the top row of the keyboard. It looks like a little trackpad with a diagonal line through it.

The dock freezes even after disabling the trackpad, which makes me think that its not an issue with the trackpad, but the dock itself. Nothing a firmware update cannot fix I hope, and soon. Come on Asus!

I know, I have already checked out your thread on this topic. I am merely replying as a means to follow up on my post rather than abandon it.
1st, I'm spanish I'll try you understand what I say
I see that the tablet with the screen off (locked) can be activated without pressing the power button. Only need to put "near the dock"*
*making like you open the tablet+dock, but is not needed that the tablet was connected with the dock, I dnt know if someone else was noticed that... but I'm a bit curious about that and i want to know how its work? (magnet?, gyroscope?, magnet+gyroscope?) if someone knows it
and I say it to other people that dnt now this, THANKS
SOLVED MISTERY!
Like some says here its a magnet near the backspace key, exactly the "¿/¡" key
here is a really good cover mod idea: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1507548 thanks to MrNago
nobody has any idea?
I think there is a switch in the hinge maybe? Seems that would be the easiest way to have the screen turn on while opening the lid while its on the dock.
I test one more time and I noticed that the system is only at the right side of the tablet and dock, like u see in this image. And its not needed any contact, but it need tablet and dock really near.
I think is a magnet system, but i havent any magnets at home to make a try...
edit: i have an error in the image, looking the camera i can see that the tablet is in the wrong side, we must see the camera down. Not at the top like in the image xD
ww.youtube.com/watch?v=k-6dKsGJ4VY
I see nothing in this disassembly to make this activation, this is curious, i want too know how it works
turning on via opening.
i tried looking using a magnetic viewer screen there are several places in the screen and in the keyboard that show magnetism, on the screen the two speakers are the main places and in the keyboard below the backspace key is quite strong as well.
i tried replicating the action using a strong magnet but i could not get it to work only when help above the keyboard does it work so there may be more then one place it looks at, i will try again when i have more time and then post results.
Interesting discovery! I don't thnk anyone actually tried this, though many speculated there were magnets in the base, many users said (and I agreed at the time) that the mechanism to wake the device was located in the hinge, though having a function like this actually does make more sense than an actual hardware switch that could fail at some point.
You should make a video and I will add this information to my epic noob thread!
thanks for replies, i tried with a small magnet without results, and try in other positions with the dock and negative results too...
I'm sure that the magnet of the backspace key its the "switch" or one of them, they are 2 maybe....
Guessing here, probably not just a magnet, maybe even an RFID chip of some sort..
Its a magnet that does this. Don't doubt. Believe. Removing the magnet and putting it back in is part of my hard drive soldering procedure.
it is a microswitch in the hinge, all experimentation I have done supports this, the only thing left for me to do is pull apart my dock and take high res pictures of the microswitch seeing as you all seem to need proof of it

Stevie, i did think so as well, but the device will wakewhen placed on the dock and removed even if it is not affixed in the hinges and even if the hinge does not move, i don't think you are getting what poster is saying, i will make a video myself and post to demonstrate.
HERE
Thereis also probably a switch in the hinge as well for sure, but this does seem important information, wonder what the mechanisms in the body of the tf are..i enjoy solid state switches like this
Oddly enough this is confirmed using Paul's ICS and my dock not connected. Totally bypassed the lockscreen. Held it as close as I could for about 5-7 seconds then on came the screen. Tried this at least 10 times (five of which I just was amazed) and everytime opened right up. Nice catch:thumbup:

You guys are right, there is some kind of magnet. For those that doubt it, like I did, try this:
First off, undock the tablet, so that you have the 2 items apart.
1. Lock the tablet, so that the screen is off.
2. On the dock, rotate the hinge outwards, so that you can put together tablet+keyboard without docking.
3. Actually put them together, so that their position is exactly the same as docked, except they aren't.
4. Screen should turn on. Mine certainly does!
Edit: as you can see, there is no connected circuitry between them and the tablet is waking up. Don't know about locking though, but I hope this gets things clearer and Modding nearer!

you probably disabled the trackpad on the keyboard. Look for the button on the dock that enables it again.
On the keyboard: Top row, 4th button from the left. Has an image of the touchpad with a / through it printed on it. Hit that.
Yeah I disable it when I'm typing on the dock for an extended period of time. Helps to not have my wrist causing the cursor to jump around in a document as there isn't any wrist detection of the touchpad to ignore it.
Lol well that's a relief I didn't even know there was a button to disable it ago I feel dumb but thanks guys

Well been studying movies on the innards of the TF700T (haven't touched mine yet for that tho!). And I noticed some "brackets" on the connection end of the tablet to the dock, with this I noticed I don't have them on mine.
Now... this wouldn't be a issue but lately the tablet seems to fall out of the dock very easily. It's not that it's loose or anything but well not locked. Not a nightmare, but I had some near accidents due to this several times (picking it up and the keyboard falling off or the other way around). So well it got me wondering, are those brackets broken for me? Or is this standard?

Are you talking about the black plastic plugs that "plug" the connector holes to keep dirt out? Even if you had them you'd need to remove them to use the dock. Some dock/tablet combos do not lock just by pushing them together(well documented here) and you need to manually pull the tablet lock switch into position.

Mine no longer docks securely at all, so I double-sided-taped it to the dock. Known issue, and it happens with little use of the docking mechanism per se. More and more people are reporting exactly this, and ASUS washes its hands in innocence... :S
Make sure the lock switch reaches the end, if not then its not fully secure. Theres a problem with the keyboard where the little tab that the tablet is suppose to push down when docked doesn't get pushed down because it can't reach it. Thats why when you hold the tablet part the dock would fall right off. Use a pen and play with that little tab and you will see the black slot locker. I'm thinking of finding something to stuff it so that when i dock the tablet and the extra thing i add would push the tab down and lock fully.

My Asus tf300t screen somtimes start to have lines going from top to bottom all across it, sometimes by itself, without me touching it. Usually this is after being on for a while (20 or so minutes). It is on 4.2, I have the keyboard dock. The tablet is only 5 months old. (course friend bought it in the US for me, I am in argentina, so warranty is a little hard to do). Screen fills with lines that go from the top to the bottom, making it unusable. Touch still responds as the lines move when I slide my finger as if changing home screens. It does this after a small while being on. If I leave it for 30 minutes, then it starts to work ok for a while, then starts again. All apps installed from google play only. Unrooted locked bootloader latest official Asus updates installed.

This usually happens when the LCD itself is damaged. In such case, however, it WILL always display lines, and never goes back to normal. I'd suggest that you open the back cover and reseat the LCD cable at both ends. While it's plainly accessible at the LCD's end, the motherboard's end is tucked under the copper heat shield. You want to be very careful lifting up just that part of the shield If you don't want to break the warranty seal. In fact I don't know if it can be done, but good luck.

I will try that if it comes back.
Update: I did the hard reset mentioned on the transformer forums (turn off tablet, hold volume down and power until text appears in upper left. Seleft with volume down the android, and hit volume up to select him, forcing a cold reset without wiping data). This seems to have fixed the problem until now, indicating a software problem. Anyone ever heard of a graphical glitch like this in android caused by some software problem? (again, all apps installed from goole play only, and even then established and recognized developers only, un rooted un modified stock asus rom)
Have you tried going to system -> developer options -> disable hw overlays
Note after each reboot you'll have to set it again.
