Auto complete form filler? - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

I'm looking for a form filler similar to Robo Form that works well and is hopefully free or cheap, is there such an app yet?

Any Civilization type games?

Anyone know of any games like Civilization? Obviously I'm not expecting anything that deep or polished, but something similar would be great. Granted, it could possibly cause me to get fired... "Sorry boss, I'll get the phone right after this turn!"
IIRC Freeciv has an ongoing port to Android. Still not out, but something to look forward to.

Revival 2 which you can find on the market.
searching for revival in the market brings some corporate management stuff, no civ like game...
Pirates and Traders... sort of. You only control a single ship though.
FreeCol is a free colonization clone (very similar to FreeCiv) but it is already written in Java (you can even download a .jar version of the game).
I am curious how difficult it would be to port it to android.
Sadly, there seems to be no concerted effort for any of these ports.
I tried playing the PSX version of civilization 2 but damn it hadn't aged well, that and the PSX version sucks. It plays well on the emulator on my Galaxy X Vibrant though

THAT is a travesty.
It has about as much to do with the original game as the foot that I am going to plant in this game's developer's ass.
Not exactly Civ, but I've found Never To Be Konkered to be quite fun. You choose a nation and start out with one or more cities. Then you build units, upgrade your city with new buildings etc and wage war on your neighbors.
It doesn't in any way have as many features as the Civ-series, but still pretty deep gameplay.
Searching for a real civ... at least the original 1...
here are the links to games mentioned above:
Revival 2: Full | demo
Pirates and Traders: Full | demo
Never to be Konkered: Full | Demo
I'd add - if you liked theme hospital or theme park, you'll love this (at least I do):
Game dev story: Full | Demo
Anyone tried this yet?
Found this on the Freeciv forums:

Really looking forward to playing this and Colonization would be an excellent game for mobile too.
You can find a beta of freeciv for Android it was released a few days ago.

Link to download at bottom.
Its only a pre-release but its playable
May be Townsmen 6, have you try ?

Square Enix!!! Has come to android!!!!

Yes. I'm... insanely happy and I don't know why.
I am quite literally a Square Enix Fanboy and I am proud of it.
Long story short, Crystal Defenders is on the market! Just came within an hour ago!
Whoa. 7 bucks. Nice lol. I'll wait to hear a little more about it, looks awesome though

Doesn't mean you should 1 star them.
I don't see this game on the android market

Yes it does. It isn't right for my android device. If they fix it I will adjust rating. Seems perfectly fair to me.

Because they have no way to block it from showing up on the Market to a crippled Tablet running Froyo. 1 star the Android market for not allowing them to block your device completely. 1 star Samsung for probably never giving you Honeycomb which supports the "xlargescreen" in the Manifest.
The Android market is targeted at phones. Not tablets.
You know all that talk about fragmentation? Galaxy Tab (not a real tablet) users and HTC Wildfire (no GPU) users that 1 star apps because of their crippled phones screw with the ratings, thus making the fragmentation idea that developers have keeping them from developing for Android.
Yeah games are also about gameplay too. One-starring something because it doesn't work in the first place is not a proper review.
People affected should not even click on the ratings. They should email straight to the developer for support.

I remember playing this game on my iPod classic a few years back, thanks for the heads up
As a developer (one free game in the market so far) and an avid Android user I must say I'm inclined to side with Ashvsaod. One star is a bit harsh - maybe 2 or 3 tops is more suitable but I understand him nevertheless.
As a developer, if you can't make it work, you should at least point out in the description that it doesn't work with tabs, period. Even more so in a 7 bucks game!
But to be honest I don't think it's that hard to make it work either. My game supports 2.1 and up and it works full screen on the tab (there was basically one programmer working on it for a few months in his spare time - so it ain't the complicated). Even without the xlarge tags you can still query the screen size in the code and make adjustment. I don't think it's justified to blame the platform for their inability to make it work.
But that's besides the point. The main point is that ff a damn expensive app doesn't work on Tabs (which are a rapidly growing chunk of the android sales) it should be mentioned clearly.
Nice to see some bigger developers pushing out games for Android for once and not sticking with the iStuff
The ratings and comments should be used for reviews not bug reports.
I bought it for the sole fact that I can hope to see more, and hopefully original games from them on Android!

Nonsense, handling screen scaling is _trivial_ under android and has been since 1.6. Absolute sizing is just lazy iPhone-like development. Failing to take into account the best practices of the platform if precisely what low-star scores are for.

I suppose this is valid. However, I opt to contact the developer first before lamenting in a Reviews section that not a lot of them may care to review due to emotionally charged ratings anyway.
I've had a ton of success by contacting the devs. They're usually so courteous and modest, as well as thankful that I actually advised them of a bug as opposed to just leaving negative feedback. I've left only a few legit 1 stars before and retracted emotionally charged ratings in lieu of contacting the developer. So far, no one has ever turned me down. And I admit that a couple of bug reports were sent with an admittedly douchy tone as well lol
Huh?
This game seems pretty bad.
Terrible reviews from critics:
http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/crystal-defenders
http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii/crystal-defenders-r1
http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/crystal-defenders
Average review of 60-ish percent.
Square Enix is great, but this game seems awful. And it's over $7.
Am I missing something?
seems the game is quite bad.........

Think it would make more sense to compare it the mobile version of the game on a similar platform. Like the version on iPhone: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crystal-defenders/id300186798?mt=8
It has 4 stars there as rated by users which I believe is more telling than reviews of the game on a home console. I believe the attitudes of users playing this game on a phone would make more sense than the attitudes of people that are playing a mobile game on a home console.

People expect more of a console game than of a mobile game?
(Those reviews are for 360, PS3 and Wii ports of an iphone game - of course they don't get fantastic scores!)
I played it on the Wii and did not enjoy it much, but yea, I guess it could be good on a mobile platform.

[APP] basketball fans... check out Pick My Bracket

Hey college basketball fans. Check out my app called Pick My Bracket. Once the brackets are out next month for March Madness, you can use the app to generate a bracket for you. It uses seedings, team records, and a special formula for making the picks for each game. While its meant to be used for fun of course, I did spend a lot of time on the formula and it generally produces pretty good results.
In the meantime, it comes loaded with the 2009 and 2010 tournament brackets... so you can play with the app. For previous years, it uses a standard point system to calculate your total so you can have a quick idea on how good it was.
Can you guys check it out and let me know what you think? I have only a few weeks to polish it up, so I'd like to hear how I could make it better and of course any bugs you find with it.
Search for 'Red Sulfur' or 'Pick My Bracket' in the market.
Check out redsulfur.com/pickmybracket for a FAQ and more info.
Has anybody had a chance to try this? And comments / suggestions / bug reports are welcome.

I think it looks pretty cool. Maybe try and add the Women's tourney too?
Also once you make your picks, any way to load them into yahoo/espn/cbs would be cool.

Thanks for checking it out. I agree, it would be cool if I could auto upload the bracket to those websites. I just don't think that's offered as an option. The Pro version has the option to email it to yourself which makes it easier to enter it into an online pool.
Also... I've thought about adding the women's bracket but just don't know if there is any interest in that.

Dungeon Defenders is FREE!

Hey guys! Just want to say that Dungeon Defenders is now free on the market! No idea if this is permanent or just today, so grap your copy now!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.trendy.ddapp&feature=search_result
I believe it is free now because Google launched their in-app payment model, and they developer will be charging real world cash to acquire in-game items.

Oh i see! LIKE!
What does this mean for the persons that paid for this app? Are we subject to having to pay for everything now to?
The only difference is that you paid for it and we don't. Everyone can use the in-app purchase.
They made it free so that more people will play it. It's a strategy for the console/pc version which is soon to be released.

Damn I paid for it. Hopefully we get more players now.
Any dates for console version?
"Dungeon Defenders” has never had an official release date for its PC, XBLA and PSN versions, though a Q1 release was Trendy’s initial goal. The game is now looking at a March or April release date for the XBLA and PSN versions, with the PC version releasing sometime later."
Hopefully the people that paided for it get something nice in-game
ARE YOU KIDDING ME
i bought this and now its all free.
and the people who paid for it get nothing.
BULL****.
I hope their PC/Console games fail.
I bought it but hardly played it, it's just too damn complex for a portable game.
I'm not real impressed about being nickle & dimed for it after buying it at full price, I won't be purchasing anything further from this developer that's for sure. If they'd given paying users SOME sort of acknowledgement then it'd be different, but that's just insulting the people that've supported them.
I guess they figure the microtransaction model works for Zynga, so why not them as well.
Didn't you people get tons of free items every-so-often already, delivered to you?
Geez, it's not like the developer is asking you to pay a monthly fee; they only made the apk free of charge. The new players who now download the free apk will never be able to get the free items you all got. And if you don't feel like spending any more cash on the game, then don't buy anything using the in-app purchasing mechanism.
Sheesh...
maybe you guys don't know how to play the game so you all are complaining that it should have been free. it's pretty cheap for a game like this!

Imaginary Range is a free app available now for Android, and is also available on iPhone®, iPod® touch, and iPad® platforms.
It's too big to install on my phone man i need root...
It's a visual novel with minigames embedded. Nice idea, and original at that!
This came out of nowhere or at least I haven't heard of it.
What a great idea I played upto the first minigame and am enjoying it I hope they make more content for this.

DL'd it but haven't gotten a chance to try it out. Its square enix though, so by the end of next week they'll have Imaginary Range X-2 Prologus Rectum International Type-4 and probably announce 7 additional sequels before the end of year. J/K..but not really. Can't wait to try it though.
48MBs. Looks great though

I'd wager they will release lots of in-app purchase contents. One dollar a pop for each "story" and I'm sold.
I've got a review up about it: Imaginary Range
