Found this thread and I want to change my dial tones to the Daft Punk tones. After putting them into the system folder blah blah they don't work and I still hear the stock dial tones.
Any input on this would help alot and I also can not find the dialeractivitytab.apk only Dialer.apk

i have had this problem since i got my touch pro....i have a .mp3 as my notification for SMS and its about a min long. after i read a message, respond, and close it the .mp3 keeps playing..i would prefer the sound to stop after i open the message.....is there some tweak or perhaps program that can resolve this?? Any responses are welcome and thanks in advance
im guessing no one else is having this same problem....come on devs im sure there is some way to resolve this...im sure there are a few people with SMS notifications that are longer than a min....on my old MOTO a1200 i culd simply push the volume togggler either up or down and be able to silence the ringer immediately..and this phone is far more advanced
I am guessing most people just have shorter notification sounds. I never made mine longer because i never thought there was a way for any device to cut off the sound.
MP3 Trimmer will be able to help you
Has anyone found a way to make the phone beep for texts while you are on a call? The only thing I hate about my phone!

If you are running a custom Rom , the your out of luck ... Most devs remove the default ring tones to save space .. but n there are tones coded for incoming messages ,, they usually have F1_ in the name .. If you using the audio hack , then you need to push the original TMUS_ file .. this is where it tell system to look for The F1_ tones during calls...
^will try this, i'm also looking for this option...thanks

OK,
If this has been asked, I can't seem to locate it, so sorry if I am repeating a question.
I just rooted and installed CM-7 on the GS2(ATT i777). All appears to be working, but when I go to assign a ringtone to an individual caller, I cannot locate where to do that at all. I found how to set the default tone, and it is now one of my custom tones, but for an individual, it just seems to be out of reach, hiding somewhere.. Help??
Hello, everyone! Newbie here. So a lot of searcing on internet and file explorations,I can't find any way to change "conversation tone" in WhatsApp. I really like to iMessage incoming and outgoing conversation tones but I kinda not fan of use iPhone as my main phone. So I have been searching to change WhatsApp's original conversation tone to iMessage conversation tone. My Android phone is rooted and I guess I can switch/change this tone sounds in root explorer apps or something. I need your help to do this, please any information is golden for me. So,please help me !!!:crying::highfive:
I need this too. Did you find anything?
Method to change whatsaap tone
Launch WhatsApp from your Home screen.
Tap on the Settings tab. ...
Tap on the Notifications button.
Tap on the Sound button under the WhatsApp calling heading. ...
Tap on the sound you want to set as the ringtone.
Tap the Save button
I need this too. Changing the notification tone isn't what we want.
The thing is, when you chatting with someone, incoming messages doesn't trigger if you're in the chat, instead it sounds something when the message shows up.
It's kinda hard to explain, but at least, it's not notification tones, that's easy to customize.
I know what you mean guys. I have been looking for that answer for years. all we need is the path to the right folder so we can do it.
Anyone? Please, please, please.
