Has anyone found a way to make the phone beep for texts while you are on a call? The only thing I hate about my phone!
For anyone interested i found that handcent has this option.

heres the short ..
If you are running a custom Rom , the your out of luck ... Most devs remove the default ring tones to save space .. but n there are tones coded for incoming messages ,, they usually have F1_ in the name .. If you using the audio hack , then you need to push the original TMUS_ file .. this is where it tell system to look for The F1_ tones during calls...
^will try this, i'm also looking for this option...thanks

Hi guys,
I do not know if anyone else has this problem but when I receive a message on my phone and the ringtone rings, it keeps on ringing no matter what I do or whatever button I push till the tone finishes.
Does anybody have any solution or is it like this with every touch cruise?
Thanks

It's perfectly normal. The only interruptible notification sound (the WAV ones) is the alarm one.
Hi, thanks for the reply. But it is a problem for me because when I receive a message I want to hear it and then be able to stop it, but ofcourse it doesn't. I read my messages I close the inbox and the stupid thing keeps ringing. Btw, is there a software that has an option to stop the ringtone when you press some key/screen?
funny... i have the opposite problem. i don't hear or see anything when i get an SMS other than a mark that i have 1 unread sms. no sound.. no notification.. no vibration.. nothing. and i tried changing the notifications in settings but it didn't work.
i used RingToneManager but it has a problem that you can't mute SMS messages.. so i get this annoying tone in class all the time. somewhat uncomfortable.

Hi I have been trying a lot of call blocking apps but I couldn't find one that blocks calls instantly they all hear at least one normal tone before the busy tone
so is there any app out there that rejects calls and gives a busy tone instantly??
thanx in advance

Thanx that's actually what i'm using now but even the option of fast reject the caller still hears a normal tone before the busy tone
I'm searching for an app the can instantly reject calls and instantly send a busy tone
The app is good at what it does given that it's just an app. Very good, seriously. If you want more than it can do right now, call your service provider.
Swiped from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk
You can put into the option of dont even call you, look in there that youll find it

hi,
i am using nexus s (unrooted) and i have two things to know from you guys.
1. if i call someone and he is already in a call, i don't see any notification on my screen that my call is waiting. is there any app for that?
2. if i am in a meeting, i want to reject a incoming call with sms. which app is best for that?
i am not an expert. please help.

I'm not sure what you mean about the first question, but I'll attempt to answer both. I don't believe there's an app that tells you when someone is on the phone, but sometimes (depending on carrier) there will be a beep after each ring that signifies the person you want to call is already on the phone. The other indication is a busy signal, your phone will hang up almost immediately after receiving it.
I believe almost all call rejection apps have the option to send texts to the caller once it has been declined. Search the market for 'call rejection' and download whichever one that doesn't require root.

Hi,
Ive notice this since the first day i bought the phone but thought was just the ringtone. Then, i certified with a custom ringtone that the ring sounds starts at 0:00 but yet, when receiving an incoming call, phone first start vibrating, and then after a while it starts actually ringing.
Is that a os bug? Does it happen only to me? Is there a way (any imaginable) way to fix it?
Thanks very much

Hi!
Have a look at this thread.
If you have a custom rom and the possibility to use a registry editor, maybe you can manage this...

Hello!
Im sorry but i dont see any thread reference
also, i dont use a custom rom but my device is in fact interop-unlocked and i do have wp7 root tools
It's an OS feature. Typically people who have their phone on vibrate because they want to be able to pick it up without it making a lot of noise. Therefore the phone gives you a second or two to respond to the vibration before it starts the ringtone.

Thank you both for the answers!
Ive been investigating the ringing system on wp and i gotta admit im a little disapointed of how limited it is. I mean, my old symbian could ring, vibrate and increase ring volume at the same time. (wp can only do one at a time)
Nevertheless, my question has been answered, thanks
Im running the cyanvivo x reborn custom rom and i have a problem with viber. Sometimes the ringtone and message tone stops working. When i go into vibersettings and try to change tone theres no sound there either while trying different tones.
After a reboot everything works again. I dont know if this is a viber or rom issue. Anyone know whats up and how to fix it? Otherwise ill have to try another rom because i miss alot of calls because of this.
I can answer and talk if i see that someones calling, but no ringtone. It's quite often the sound disappears and i dont know when until i see i have missed calls.
I couldnt post in the dev thread so im trying here..
