I actually enjoyed the original boot animation... one day as I booted my phone it suddenly disappear and now I have a boot animation that just says android. I was wondering if anyone had the original file or if there's anything I can do?

Sooo has anyone tried these apps from the market? the "Boot anamation Changer PRO" ,"Boot anamations Installer" , and the other "bootanamationchanger"? ! i have rooted with z4 before and OCLF'ed and it bricked my phone and had to replace it! i have rooted with z4 ..again but am staying away from OCLF. Can these apps brick or soft brick my phone? like are they really buggy or?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S i9000M bell canada
does Anyone know or try these apps?
I have tried them and they are kind of buggy. Put my phone into a boot loop.

Made my phone take about 5 minutes to boot. Then during one boot it automatically wiped itself which was nice

Just get root explorer. It's like $4, and you can back up your original bootanimation, put your new one in the same directory and be done in like about 1 minute.
I change my animation at least 3 times a week. No brickage.

Here's the thread I started when I first tried to change my bootanimation. Lots of good info:

I have a problem with my sidekick 4g when I try to go into recovery mode it freezes on the boot logo after that I tried charging it to see if nomorepowah would show up but I have to take the battery out for like an hour I've been trying to find the stock recovery and I can't find it I didn't change the recovery either all I tried doing a long time ago is install cwm but now it freezes when I try to go into recovery anybody have an answer to why its doing this?
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
Might have to odin back. I think its partially the nomoarpower's fault. Its obviously affecting how your booting, and it is a coverup for boot. Try removing it, and if it dosent work, then odin back to stock, then flash whatever you had. This might not be the solution, just trying to help

I have another question can I uninstal the default sms or mms app on here to replace it with a ics sms
Sent from my SGH-T839 using xda premium
Download Titanium Backup and try to delete it.
Then install ICS messaging from the market.
I would assume this would work but I haven't tried it so back it up just in case.
I really would appreciate some input on this.. I was on NexusMod ICS for about two days before I woke up one morning to find that my phone had rebooted and was stuck at the splash screen. I tried pulling the battery and powering it on but got the same result, so I tried to get into CWM and couldn't. It would boot to recovery but not long enough to actually do anything, so I ODIN'd stock rom and CWM then flashed AOKP build 38 instead of NexusMod. Everything was fine for a few days but this morning I woke up to my phone stuck on the splash screen again, only this time when I pulled the battery and powered it on, it booted up fine, but my wallpaper had changed (weird).. So I really don't have a clue why this would happen, but I'd appreciate some help, and TIA!

Yes, that's a good idea, but wouldn't you think it would be an app that's causing it since it happened on two very different roms? Or am I way off in my thinking?

Ok, so I doctored up the existing tar from the i577 to make it smaller and more compatiable. My goal is to get users to ICS easily and with as little issues as possible like the soft key bork. So, I created a 1-Click.
Whats included:
Stock i577 ICS boot.img and system.img.ext4
Instruction:
Download Blaze_Ics.zip to your desktop
Extract zip and start the exe
Plug phone into PC and reboot to download mode
Once the 1-click recognizes your device, click the start button and wait.
Enjoy!
Don't forget to hit the thanks and/or donate!
Thanks to vivd and the rest of the guys that discovered this!
Download v1 here:
http://www.codedgraphx.info/tka/blaze/Blaze_ICS.zip
If you have issues like the soft key bork, then reflash with my 1-click Qucik Recover and then flash Blaze_ICS starter 1-click.
If you have issues with the soft keys, then perform the dialer trick to update TouchKey Firware update.

I'm still stuck on the att screen. Confirmed first load time under 10 minutes right?
I'm getting a small vibrate alternating between 15 and 45 sec intervals as well on the att screen.
I do notice our CWM is still there after the flash, ty for that too!
Mine took roughly ten minutes using this

You are stuck in a bootloop... reboot to recovery, wipe data cache and system under minds and storage. Reboot to download mode and flash again...
You might also want to try flahsing the Quick Recovery 1 click

Do not flash any kernels yet. The current ones out are GB based. Our great devs will have an ICS kernel soon. You need to flash superuser http://dl.dropbox.com/u/109143594/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip after you boot ICS first. This will give you root.

Hello all. I've seen a few similar cases, but I still don't know how to go about it. I bricked my cousin's Infuse 4G when I tried upgrading to 4.2.2 using rootbox rom. Now its stuck at samsung logo. CANT enter recovery or download mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, I followed the guide on this page teamandroid. com/2013/02/17/update-att-samsung-infuse-4g-sgh-i997-android-422-carbonrom-jelly-bean-custom-rom/2/ (can't post links. Yet ) that's how it got bricked. I've been finally able to go into download mode and Odin sees it on my pc but it reboots after 10 seconds or so. any idea about this?
Okay its gonna sound dumb but give your phone some time to charge. Next look in the infuse xda thread and get the heimdall one click back remedy .... For some reason Odin is great but the heimdall is more stable. Go to download mode and just flash back to stock.
Look for qkster thread for the heimdall and instruction.
Good info on getting to 4.2 or three is go to scott.harts thread and read the op for the proper instructions on working up because u have to go to rooted froyo the flash to GB then flash to ICS then finally to the jellybean ... I know there are short cuts but u can end up with headaches I prolly seen them all
PS. Make sure u turn off all antivirus software on PC it can screw up flashing process

Thanks for your replies. I'll try a few options and let you know how it goes. I think it's the battery cus I could turn it on without connecting it to power and it doesn't turn on by itself when I insert the battery. But now I cant turn it on. And the rebooting process stops when I takeout the usb cable
Okay, decided nit to leave this thread hanging (irrelevant I know). I got a fully charged battery and was able to flash desired custom rom to device and now running smooth on 4.2.2 rootbox rom. thanks xda
