Boot Animation Changer - Android Apps and Games

Sooo has anyone tried these apps from the market? the "Boot anamation Changer PRO" ,"Boot anamations Installer" , and the other "bootanamationchanger"? ! i have rooted with z4 before and OCLF'ed and it bricked my phone and had to replace it! i have rooted with z4 ..again but am staying away from OCLF. Can these apps brick or soft brick my phone? like are they really buggy or?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S i9000M bell canada

does Anyone know or try these apps?

I have tried them and they are kind of buggy. Put my phone into a boot loop.

Made my phone take about 5 minutes to boot. Then during one boot it automatically wiped itself which was nice

Just get root explorer. It's like $4, and you can back up your original bootanimation, put your new one in the same directory and be done in like about 1 minute.
I change my animation at least 3 times a week. No brickage.

Here's the thread I started when I first tried to change my bootanimation. Lots of good info:

I would say that if the person can't spell, don't use their app.

Rooting the T-Mobile SGH-T959

Just wondering if there was any progress being made on figuring out how to root the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant. Anybody know if a fix is being worked on and if so what the ETA is?

it's pretty much been rooted from the beginning. google is your friend
Really? Not to sound like a hardcore n00b or nothing, but I've tried every method out there and nothing has worked. If you've got a solution id love to know where you found it.

Note that this device is blocked from accessing the recovery menu. Thoughts?

Call 611 and tell them you want it replaced. I did it and schmoozed a bit. They sent it next day air.

I need help please

I have a problem with my sidekick 4g when I try to go into recovery mode it freezes on the boot logo after that I tried charging it to see if nomorepowah would show up but I have to take the battery out for like an hour I've been trying to find the stock recovery and I can't find it I didn't change the recovery either all I tried doing a long time ago is install cwm but now it freezes when I try to go into recovery anybody have an answer to why its doing this?

Might have to odin back. I think its partially the nomoarpower's fault. Its obviously affecting how your booting, and it is a coverup for boot. Try removing it, and if it dosent work, then odin back to stock, then flash whatever you had. This might not be the solution, just trying to help

Download Titanium Backup and try to delete it.
Then install ICS messaging from the market.
I would assume this would work but I haven't tried it so back it up just in case.

Phone reboots/hangs on splash screen

I really would appreciate some input on this.. I was on NexusMod ICS for about two days before I woke up one morning to find that my phone had rebooted and was stuck at the splash screen. I tried pulling the battery and powering it on but got the same result, so I tried to get into CWM and couldn't. It would boot to recovery but not long enough to actually do anything, so I ODIN'd stock rom and CWM then flashed AOKP build 38 instead of NexusMod. Everything was fine for a few days but this morning I woke up to my phone stuck on the splash screen again, only this time when I pulled the battery and powered it on, it booted up fine, but my wallpaper had changed (weird).. So I really don't have a clue why this would happen, but I'd appreciate some help, and TIA!

Yes, that's a good idea, but wouldn't you think it would be an app that's causing it since it happened on two very different roms? Or am I way off in my thinking?

Had this issue with some roms when I was using cwm. Once I updated to cwm touch didn't have an issue.

If you don't notice anything wrong happening when you actually boot up the phone (ie memory wiped, apps not saved) then I wouldn't think much of this issue, unless it annoys you.
No it does not say what is updating I guess I leave it go for now it's only on the screen for a few seconds
Thanks anyway

Boot manager

Is there a blue folder available for the s3? I'm using the Galaxy mod ROM now and really like it but I'd like to keep checking out new rooms. Is there a convenient way to boot up another rom without having to wipe out what I'm running?

It gets me all the time too! But as of now there is not, there are some in the works from what I hear. So right now the easiest way is to make a backup and flash then just restore when you're ready to go back

Yes unfortunately no Boot Manager yet. Init2winit apps is unable to support the app anymore. The good news is that they are currently trying to find a reputable dev to take it over. Hopefully someone will.

I was really excited when it came out for the droid x. I bought it and really never used it, it just didn't work right. Cool idea but never work for me. I am sure the dx having a locked bootloader really held it back.
