How to see what is the version/model of my HTC phone?
On Windows Mobile 6.1 you can go to:
Settings -> System -> Device Information -> Identity
and read Model.

hi guys
during the last year u were very helpful and more
this time it is a little difficult 4 me
i have my wizard with faria windows 6.0 on it
my disk top runs on windows vista ultimate
when i connect both , i hear the voice of usb connection
but i can't c my device , or the WMDC or even a change in the device manager
since then i failed 2 sync both devices
your help is needed

Patience grasshopper.
A couple things you can do.
First, make sure you have the latest WMDC 6.1 (versus the older 6.0) installed.
Second, if that doesn't help click Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC -> check (or uncheck) Enable advanced network funcionality.

The WMDC 6.1 isn't a version of a ROM. It stands for "Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1". This replaced Activesync for Windows Vista. Do you have that installed?

I EVEN TRIED UPDATING THE DRIVER IN BOOTLOADER
NOTHING HAPPENED

On my HTC Page appeared a HTC Pharos in Reg History but i havnt registered one
I also got access to this Official ROM Update (WM6)

Please back up your data first before upgrading your device. Before you run the ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU), make sure you check and do the following:
* The USB sync cable is connected to your device and PC. If your PC is running Windows XPR, ActiveSyncR will run automatically to establish a connection. If your PC is running Windows VistaTM, then Windows Mobile Device Center will establish the connection between your device and PC.
* All running applications on the device have been closed.
* Make sure that the battery level of the device is least 50% (tap Start > Settings > System tab > Power).
* The update will take up to 30 minutes, DO NOT interrupt the update process, make/receive phone calls, disconnect the device from the PC, or press any buttons until the process has been completed.
Once the RUU is downloaded, launch the application on your PC and follow the instructions.

Flashing is OK.... All function working fine. There is 'Copilot' in the ROM, too.

Here are the facts:
My Email is working on my other Android device (Original Unlocked HTC Desire) - Android 2.2.2
I am using the exact same exchange settings as my original phone
My new phone was bought unlocked
I have enabled Security -> Unknown Sources so that unsigned applications can run

Hi. I have 3 Android devices, a Nexus 7 2013 model, Moto E and a Nexus 5. The Nexus 7 and Moto E appear in the Android device manager ok but the Nexus 5 doesn't.
It's running stock Anrdoid 5.0.1 but it has been rooted.
I have the following settings:
Security -> Device administrators -> Android Device Manager -> Enabled
Location -> Enabled
Location -> Google Location History -> Enabled
Location -> Google Location History -> This Device (Nexus 5) -> Enabled (interestingly, it also says that the last reported date was today)
All 3 accounts are signed in with the same Google account.
Going to Android Device Manager on the web or on the Nexus 7/Moto E using the Android Device Manager application does not allow me to select the Nexus 5 but the other two devices can be selected.
Why is my Nexus 5 not appearing? Is it because it's rooted?

I see that Google have vastly improved being able to create a support post, I remember trying to do this before with some other issue and finding where to post was either non-existent or a complete mine field.
