[POLL] Transformer, TXer, TF, Or?? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK, so what are we going to call this thing??
So far reading through some threads I've seen all sorts of acronyms to refer to our new tablet.
It's time to come to a consensus before this gets outta control!!

I just call mine "Optimus".

ive been calling it TF when chatting about it...unless its on twitter where not everyone knows what TF would stand for.

TF seems to be common.

I prefer E3T or tf

Haha, I've already started and got a friend calling it Optimus Prime.

I was thinking BumbleBee as well after I read the Optimus suggestion. It's perfect since it can relate to transformers and honeycomb at the same time.
But for shorthand purposes TF is good. The model number includes that shorthand as well (TF101).

lol, I wish they'd stop making/porting new OS versions long enough for me to manage to get a new one on my phone.
On second thought, at the rate I'm going.....carry on....

Interesting, but more or less like hammering a round peg into a square hole. I can't imagine the performance will be satisfactory even if they are able to get everything to work.

Off-Topic

Anybody thinking on getting the htc Flyer now that the price has dropped and getting rid of your Transformer?
I'm thinking about it...

Didn't even cross my mind. I love my transformer, and it's not even rooted, yet... Just waiting for a root solution for the higher B70s.

Tablet question

What tablet has the most Roms or biggest community? Amongst tablets I have EVO 3d rooted so I assume rooting a tablet is not much different, or am I mistaken?

Oh what tablet would you all suggest ?

Wait and get the Transformer Prime. If you must get one now get one of the Galaxy Tab variants.
I would say iPad 2
Sorry but nothing Apple for me except an itouch

Apple is too expensive. For no reasons. Almost all programs in market are not free. So why you need Apple if you can have android and do almost everything for free and have better support (it is my opinion on support)
I got the new nook for my first tablet. It doesn'tcome out till the 14th though... I figure for 250 if I dontlike it my mother won't need a kindle fire lol

Tablet + Dock Glitch

Hey guys,
I bought a tf300 + dock bundle on Tuesday and I absolutely love it. However, today at work I noticed that, when docked, the tablet would register random glitches and long presses, even when I wasn't touching it! At this point, I can either exchange it, or return it and get my money back. Before I do this though, I just wanted to do a quick survey on XDA to see if anyone else had this problem.
Thanks!
exchange da *****hhhh

Flashing a mobile phone through our tablet

Hi. I have the HTC HD2 and the ASUS tf300t and I would like to update the ROM of my HTC HD2 through my tablet. Should not that be possible? When I connect my phone to my tablet and go to the bootloader there stands below USB. Does not this mean that my tablet has recognize the phone? If so, wouldn't this mean that we should be able to flash our phones through our tablets if we had an program like HTC HD2 Toolkit but only as an android app? To manage a clean instal procedure? So "task29", "installed MAGLDR" or "clk", "flash CWM" etc. ... So if somebody could put out the Windows program HD2Toolkit as an Android app that would be incredible!
Sorry for my english
I just use the dock and put my phones micro sd in and just cut and paste

Why not?! The transformer is lighter, faster and got more power than my Acer Aspire One. Especially i want to start study next year. Also it is possible to run any office programm on it. The only thing i miss is a stylus like the S-Pen of Samsung. I'm not such a game geek but when i look into the Tegra Zone and see what kind of graphics it is able to, it could also replace my wii.
