not really sure what you mean here. What are you trying to download? From where?
Trying to download apps from the market and those don't work? Or Trying to download from browser.
Your subject says "constant error" but you never mention your error.

I ran into a similar problem, nothing would download, browse, etc. After some digging I found Data Enabled wasn't checked anymore. Settings>Wireless>Mobile Networks>Data Enabled. as soon as I checked it, I was back in BIDNESS. Hope this helps.

il try now. i just tried to download a apk and it downloaded it as a .htm file
edit: nope opened another window and download the file but in a wrong format.
went to another site to try and download a mp3 and it failed right away.
updated with screenshots
When you download a file...long press link and look for "Save link".
Even if it downloads it as an HTML file...look at the size.. i download mp4 video clips all the time and i have to rename "video_file.html" to "video_file.MP4".
So just rename the extension at the end... "app_name.html" to "app_name.apk" as another example
Also sometimes it gives you the chance to rename it (i think it may be Astro File manger related) i use Astro File manager... if you do not have that I suggest you get it. You can also try an alternative web browser such as "Dolphin". If you have an SD card i would change the storage area to the SD card (in your web browsers settings).
And in the Default Android... do not forget to clear your cache every once in awhile... especially if you download allot of files.

Hi folks, sorry for the duplicate post I just realised this is where I should have posted (not on the general thread)....
I am a formula 1 race fan and the official website provides a rich and powerful java app for PDA's that is truly cool. It provides live timing, circuit data, weather conditions etc
See http://www.formula1.com/mobile_services/live_timing.html
The application detects I am downloading this to my HD2 and it installs well and runs quite well. However everytime I shut it down I have to go to the website to download it again !?
It doesn't appear in my installed applications list and I can't find the formula1.jar file it downloads.
Can one of the code gurus on here help track down where this app goes so we can have it all the time?
The only clue I can see is that it shares the same icon as the jblend application found in the tools section.
What is JBlend???
When I click on jblend I get the F1 2010 application appear with several options (one of which is local install) but nothing other than going to the full download works.
Can someone help please I am obviously not across the java implementation here. Can someone download this and try it???
JBlend is Java emulator, bcoz WinMo not supporting Java.
You don't have to download this app agin - just find and run JBlend form your Menu Start and your app will be on list. Mark it and run and this is it!

Thanks Franq, that helps. Unfortunately when I click on the app in JBlend I get "Uncaught Exception!"
Any Help would be appreciated

Hi Frank, yes I apologised I made the first thread and then realised I should have posted here.
I have seen the F1 app you provided as well as another I loaded
http://www.bestwindowsmobileapps.co...cing-stats-and-fixtures-on-windows-phone.html
But neither of them have live timing and all the other features of the official F1 app. Is there any way I can find out where the formual1.jar file is being copied to and keep a copy so I can run a local install whenevr I need to?
you want have *.JAR?

I want to be able to run this from the JBlend whenever I want to but as I said I get an error "Uncaught Exception!"
I know when I download the installation file from the website and install it I am able to run it one time again. I believe it copies down a file called formula1.jar but I don't know where it puts that. If I could copy that file I could then install it locally rather than use up bandwidth connecting and downloading it each time.
Heh i know where it is
I dunno whats wrong with your Leo, but in mine after installing and restarting phone this app don't disapear and working fine.
Try to install it form THIS FILE extracted from my Leo, maybe this helps.

Hey I didn't think of rebooting after installing the APP! But every time I try to run it I get "Uncaught Exception!"
Please note I can see the app in JBlend its just that I don't know where the installation file gets downloaded to.
Anyway I installed the application again and rebooted my Leo this time. Again I was able to successfully run this app but once I shut it down and tried to run it again from JBlend I still get "Uncaught Exception".
At least now that I have a copy of the Jar file I can run that locally to install again.
Its a pain having to do this but thanks for the jar file at least I am not using up bandwidth downloading the file from the net.

try and flash the .zip file. that might work
Should i flash it with the Flashtool in which folder should i copy the Zip file?
Any Screenshots from the Black Market???
if you have xrecovery you can flash from there also.. place the .zip file on the root of your sdcard .. before you do that.. did u change the name of the .apk file to Vending.apk instead of Vending_2_2_11.apk
no should i?
thats what i did before placing it in the system/apps folder
try this
1. The first step is to download Market Version 2.2.11 from here, unzip and save it on your desktop.
2. Once done, connect your phone to PC and mount SD card as flash drive.
3. Now copy the downloaded APK file to SD Card root.
4. Launch Market and download Astro File Manager.
5. Once the download is complete, launch Astro File Manager, tap on SD card and scroll down to Vending_2_2_11.apk.
6. Now tap on this apk file and press Open App Manager.
7. In this menu, tap on Upgrade and wait for the installation process to complete.
8. Once done, exit the file manage and open Market on your phone. If it opens and you can see the usual apps, then enjoy as it is success.
i have placed it in on the SD Card not in the System/app folder! But i have tried to place it in the system folder but its not possible! Cant copy?
Doesnt work with the Astro File Manager!
astro is only to upgrade. u need root explorer to make changes
No Problem i will take the old Market maybe they put the Blackmarket in one of the next Hotfixes for Free X10!
THANX Hihat!
Love the message as you flash it through xrecovery
Just installed it..but now i get a forced close message all the time.. what should i do?
*edit* uninstalled it and flashed the gapps_latest_freex10.zip back.. but the message doesn't dissapear and i can't open market.
*edit2* cleared dalvik & cache and flashed all the stuff again and it works now..

Wasn't funny for me. I have copied zip to sdcard, booted into xRecovery, installed custom zip, got scary message "Do you feel ok? you shouldn't you just blacked out"
Reboot, and I can't find market anywhere in app drawer, root explorer, anywhere... Also tried adb install apk file, but said " failure, older sdk". :-(
What am I doing wrong?
Nhoting is black on my phone whats going wrong i didn't get any errors either grtz
Edit 2.2.1 Z has market . 7 so this doesnt work there is another trhead for that one and that works
Can someone please post a screenshot?
I'm having trouble copying files (primarily music) to my sdcard. Either entire folders that are copied will show as empty, or only some of the files will copy. I also routinely get the message "your device might not be able to play this file", which I'm assuming is due to the fact that most of my music is in flac (does HTC assume most players don't know what to do with flac?).
Anybody else experiencing these bugs?
That's because kit kat doesn't support it. You have to use the xposed app "handle external storage" to be able to move stuff to your SD card

Thanks for the info. I'm still learning my way around KitKat (and Xposed).
Ok... after doing some more research (and playing with xposed and other things), the issue is not resolved. I've already edited the platform.xml file to enable writing to the sdcard, but it doesn't help with transferring files from pc to the device via usb. Additionally, files that I did successfully write to the sdcard do not appear in Root Explorer, even though r/w is enabled, and various other apps (players) can identify the files. Either I'm missing something obvious, or KitKat is really screwy. I'm starting to miss Jelly Bean on my old Rezound.
Or just use this and reboot once you use it.

Stock player, Poweramp, Neutron player all will show something different for available files in the specified folders. Root Explorer won't show files that I put in a folder labeled "Audio Books", even though I drag-and-drop the files there using my PC, and the PC shows they're there. I put four audio books on my sdcard in the last coupled days (in mp3), and the files are all missing. Now, plugging it in to my PC, the files are nowhere to be found. They were there (at least some of them) a day ago. WTH?? The folder is there, but it's empty. So empty I can hear an echo in there...

Why so complicated? Just download the latest builds from CM HERE
Edit: Its just CM12 to download officially.
CM 11 build KLTE
instead of the orange "Download" button press the blue "Download now" button
It works... but only after multiple clicks. Damn. Does anyone know which file hosts are good for roms and kernels?
I think androidfilehost.com is good for roms and other mods. It gives easy download link. Just select server and download started.
Next time you can try go to settings >content>unallow third party cookies
Can someone download and upload http://d-h.st/HsMC ?
Because unregistered user without premium surely has zero option to download proper file but gets thousand options to download malware there.
address=/d-h.st/0.0.0.0
That site needs to die.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD. It has malware. Malwarebytes keeps blocking tons of popups from the website. All the links from this site that direct it dev host need to be pulled off and the files need to come from somewhere else

I tried both ES file explorer and Root explorer, those are my go-to tools, and yeah that's what I do, overwrite the existing files. Worked fine for spinning earth but not for night sky, even when I tried restoring the stock boot animation first (I always copy the stock files to a secure location first)
Not sure what to tell you. If its doing that with stock boot files too it would indicate another issue. Maybe clear cash in recovery
