I'm quite new to all this rooting, but wouldn't it be possible to use other rooting methods e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537 to root the Desire S?
I've also come across Unrevoked - . Is there any way to contact those developers to request if they can look into enabling it for the Desire S?

Hi all
I want to root my DHD and install cm7. But I don't have a pc(I have mac) could anybody root it for Mr Pleaseeeeee
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Easy way:
install z4root then use the root option
First: You should check out the Desire HD forum, there are a lot of tutorials & guides there.
Second: If you want to root your DHD, you will have to check your firmware first. If the firmware version is greater newer 1.32, you will have to downgrade before you can root.
Once downgraded the rooting can be done by installing Visionary+ on your phone.
But as I said, for a more detailed guide check out the DHD subforum.
Nop, it s not another silly question that we are used to now
I just wanted to know which one is better in the rooting process ( roms, kernels , radio....)
Or simply, would you buy a rooted galaxy s3 or a rooted one x ?
Rooting HTC One is easier then rotting SGS3, i will choose HOX.

Is that a joke? Samsungs are much easier to root. HTC you have to use their bootloader unlocker which automatically voids your warranty. Changing the radio on an HTC is not a process for the faint of heart either...
I am not new to rooting android devices. I currently have a N7 that I unlocked and others. Where is a program that can root and install CWM? I am wanting to run this rom, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37060683, which inspiremod should I use? All the root kits seem to have been removed. Is there still one available somewhere for this phone?
Advanced Ace Hack Kit. You will need to Google for it; it's no longer on XDA.

Just Done a reasearch on rooting htc one x at&t  and searched every video and blog spot available.so there is no proper method available to root htc one x 4.1.1 3.18 beacuse of the policies of at&t and also the superid method is also not available so i hope the XDA team will pay a head on this and get a fast and suitable method to root htc one x quickly so that we can use customized roms i am loking forward for the best of the development from the forum and if anybody have done this plz shere the methods thanks in advance
If you done the research as you said you know you can root 4.1.1, S-off, and flash custom ROMs......

Firstly, all the info you'll ever need is on this forum right here. Going elsewhere is a surefire way to end up damaging your phone, as some of these other sites don't clearly distinguish between the Evita (One XL) and the Endeavoru (One X).
Secondly, there are working methods to root and s-off this phone on the 3.18 firmware, and they've been available for quite some time now.
