It is the capacitive sensors, and normal.

Thanks for that info. So seeing that sensor means it's a cheap screen? kinda sucks cause I'm going to be using this thing outside a lot. Does anyone know if the asus transformer shows that grid ??
Nope, doesn't mean that it is necessarily cheap, and you get used to it.

So its not working ?
Touch works
Charging works
USB works
Only keys doesn't seems to respond
Can it be due to revolver Rom or is it the keyboard problem?
I got it today and i was really happy and now its this little problem

You can try another rom but I personally concur with GoodIntentions' post.

I had a bad one first too. Apparently there is a rather high defect rate on some of the serial numbers. I sent it in for repair and they sent it back and it lasted less than a day before it died again. Then they just sent me a new one with a much higher serial number and it works great.
This is not a software problem. You have a defective product. Exchange immediately.
Where did your folks get it from? Go right back there and exchange for another one. Do not RMA. Waste of time. Just get something new.
Always get your products from trusted retailers! And what are the first 3 characters on the dock's serial number ?
Think it was B90 and it was from a trusted store
I will send it back as fast as i come home from Mexico

I've not faced any issue like that. Try downloading dolphin browser HD, if you face any problem like that in opera browser

it's not about cleaning the screen.
Something internal is causing it.
Simple lock and unlock end the madness of the screen.

No, its because sometimes there is dirt and oil accumulated on the screen as they may be charged substances they conflict with the capacitive touch screen as the capacitive screen senses a finger wherever there is that charge so cleaning the screen fixes it !

That's because of a cheap charger, don't use chargers other than HTC one , for me LG charger is also fine but other chargers like cheap Chinese ones even with same output makes screen wild

No it's not the case you are saying about. It happens to me also and only when my net connection is on.
Removing dust particles/cleaning doesn't help.
And exactly the point of wildness is in the top right side.

I have a TF300T I just received and am trying to get this thing going. I have had a number of these devices and can't seem to solve this problem.
To me it sounds like a hardware problem.
I have unlocked the bootloader, installed latest ROM from ASUS and installed TWRP 25.0 as the recovery. Go into TWRP no screen problems works great even if I leave it for a while.
If I let it boot normally - it goes through the normal boot up procedure and arrives at the lock screen. Here is where it gets weird.:silly:
If I unlock (move finger to the right) and go into anything like settings or file manager or any app - or just leave it without doing anything - the screen I was working with goes away and I get a bunch of uniform vertical lines. If you leave the vertical lines long enough - the unit shuts down.
Sounds like a hardware problem. Graphics board or display? Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers

Any chance you can hook it up to a TV/monitor through HDMI to see if you can replicate the problem there? Graphics are embedded in the CPU. But if it's bad, it wouldn't show anything to begin with. This is not heat-sensitive in that it either works or it don't. I'd suspect something else, but there's no way to find out except by the process of elimination.
Today I booted up my tf101 and the screen stayed black then flickered blue lines across the top. I tried hard reset, no dice, tried to boot into twrp (I was running katkiss 4.4 fine for weeks), and the screen flickered blurry images, nothing. Tried to push stock software with easy flasher, looks like it works, but same issue when I turn the tablet back on. Weird thing is my pc still sees my tablet and ext sd files. Anyone have any ideas? My son is not a happy camper at the moment.

Is there a chance it has been knocked or dropped ?
The display cable has a habit of coming lose pretty easily if they receive a bump but are fairly simple to fix if you don't mind opening it
Have a look at the links in this thread to check that cable

I think I just used a normal pozzy screwdriver with mine, get one the right size with a little extra pressure and they turn ok - its only the first 2 screws near the charging port that are Torx, the rest inside are all tiny phillips

Most likely a SOD. When you restart it, does the screen work fine?
You could run a logcat before getting the SOD.

The motherboard circuit routes graphics to the HDMI port independently of the lcd cable and the lcd itself. The part that controls graphics is embedded inside the CPU. So it looks like the problem is more serious than just connections. Though I guess it doesn't hurt to try anything at this point. For the GPU to fail without any kind of physical impact is really new to me. But what do I know?
