Stock rom - T-Mobile LG G2x

Looking for a complete stock rom without root. Something someone could flash and go back to factory and with all the gaps all ready loaded. I looked all over but could only find stock with root.
Thanks

so you want a stock rom without root.... and all that is available is the stock rom with root...
to avoid being an ass and stating the obvious
have you tried un-rooting the stock rom with root?

Not trying to be mean but this is a development forum, and its here.. says [get] T-Mobile g2x p999 factory firmware in title..

Not trying to be mean too. But have you downloaded the file? If you did downloaded it, have you extracted the contents? If you did extracted the contents, can you let us know how to flash those BIN files?

That is the stock unrooted firmware. Just reading the last few posts on the thread looks like how to reflash stock hasn't been discovered yet.. at the same time you can unroot with superoneclick the do a factory reset with volume down and power button.. that should be "stock".. stock froyo should be 60-75mb as far as any mods by LG.. idk.. wouldn't think it would make it 500mb (lil over actually I downloaded it a couple days ago just to have it around). But this really should be in general.. if your having a problem ask.. there is a lot of great minds willing to help..

Yes that is the stock unrooted firmware. But it contains BIN files. One is the baseband which is flashable via Smartflash. I tried extracting files out of the bigger BIN file via ExtractNow and also mounting it via Virtual Clone Drive but it didn't work.
I've already asked paulobrien to make an NVFlash stock rom release for the G2X much like the one he did for the O2X (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007825). But he hasn't replied yet.
If I know the odmdata value and the android_fastboot_emmc_full.cfg, I would have done it myself.

Yea same thing here with me I've asked Paul to help with nvflash commands but no answer back yet. Im one of those that can benefit from this right now as my phone in a boot loop, But all of us will benefit from this sonner or later. After flashing ex amount of roms and themes its always good to go back to stock and start flashing from a stock build.

thanks alot man! I figured something of that sort was going on from what i gathered by popping my head in irc a couple times. Most of the Epic 4g devs we got stuck with are 17-23 which would explain a bit of the unprofessionalism at times

How do you put the pit in pit section and modem in phone section?
use odin to flash it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773032
is there a way to flash modem.zip through CW?
So is the rom to be flashed via CWM and then odin flash the modem? Or do i need to odin flash DK05+ pit and then modem.bin + pit afterwards?
Can we have more info on this rom?Is this official stock froyo before sprint and samsung put their overlay on it?
Thanx in advance.
thanks for clarification
This is awesome, I'm glad I asked...
EDIT I don't understand the modem flash part though. I go back to stock with Odin? Then flash the DK05 ROM? Then the modem??? I can't figure out a method that would actually make sense. Am I not supposed to use Clockwork at all in this process?

I don't believe you can root it directly. You need to flash over a custom ROM which has already been rooted. You can still keep stock, but you have to find rooted stock in the "Android Development" Section.
Its good that you got that update though, this ensures you get the updated baseband, which a ROM usually will not flash over.

Sure, it's called ClockWorkMod Recovery.
Download a copy of one of the stock ROMs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664) and flash it through Clockworkmod.
We don't need no fancy applications!

Clearly you didn't take the time to think out your response. If he is not unlocked then your method wont work.
There are 3 common ways. First is flashing the partitions via fastboot. Second would be using the ODIN software. Third would be what was mentioned above. Unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery such as twrp or clockworkmod. From this recovery you can flash any rom you choose whether its stock or custom.
Good luck.

is your nexus rooted, yes or no?
cuz your saying RE flash.
if so.
instal clockworkmod and download a rom.
if not.
than you got to unlock it. or ADB push the stock rom.
and ODIN is a last resort.
i my self do not recomand odin with the nexus s models(well not the 3G versions[i920/i923])

Since he is talking about flashing ROMs, I figured it was safe to assume that he has an unlocked bootloader. But you're right of course in saying that he needs to be unlocked in order to use CWM.
Then again, I would never suggest to have him 'flash his partitions' through fastboot since he's asking for a GUI solution.
And I don't see or read anyone use ODIN on the Nexus S. I know it's developed with the Galaxy S in mind and I can't say how compatible it is for our phones. If it is- then ODIN would be the easiest solution.
My reponse might have been brief and cut to the chase, but it's the safest, most documented and in my opinion best way to flash a ROM for our devices.

I listed fastboot because most people coming from other devices wouldn't be familiar with it as on most phones it is locked down. Yes Odin does in fact work with the Nexus S, but I only recommend it as a last resort not a go to option.

I see people over in the dev section in thread "[RADIO] HTC Glacier Radios" talking about flashing a leaked build with updated radio driver and expecting an official release to follow.
Is there any detailed release notes out there explaining this update? Is it just a better radio driver? anything else?

My MT4G was handed down to a friend and has been getting a system update notification beginning yesterday. I have told her not to let it go through for now, and to write down what the update notification says - if anything.
I had CM& on it, but I reverted back to stock based froyo ROM before I gave it to her - wanted everything working. It also had what was the latest radio (as of a few months back), and faux stock based kernel. and of course CWM.
With all the above, I am surprised it is trying to update - always though you had to revert to all stock (including Recovery). I do not see any benefit in letting it go through, plus from the above post, would also be afraid it might unroot the device, so would like to know that also.

YES. Find the unrooted version and flash that instead. optionally flash the radio separately.

Is there any way to stop the update notification from popping up every time the phone is booted up?
how have you rooted it man?!?!... please share the link to clear root instructions for the latest updated stock ROM if you can.... thanks!
I also received system update to 2.3.4 and downloaded it yesterday. As much as I wanna do what some may have already done (reverting back to froyo > temp/perm root > restore back to gingerbread) that's just seems alot of work. Anybody know whats the status on alternative (easy temp/perm root) for gingerbread 2.3.4? I sure do like to know if it's already in development.

Recovery mode issue

Hey guys, I'm new to the flashing scene so bare with me. Not to long ago I flashed my Infuse 4g device from gingerbread to ics, which for some reason made my recovery mode half disorientated (with weird colors)and half visible. Yet, difficult I was still able to maneuver and flash some tweaks here and there. However, I've now moved on to JellyBean, but now my entire recovery mode screen is disorientated (with weird colors) What should I do now?
You need the Gingerbread boot loaders to make it correct.

If you can successfully flash other items in Heimdall or Odin, it's really not that big of a deal. The Gingerbread Kies update and the prezreket UCLB3 leak also update the bootloaders. Just don't interrupt the flash. Crinkypops is correct, though, that a failed bootloader flash is about the only way to really brick an Infuse. So double check that you can flash other items using your chosen software. If you can, go for the bootloaders and don't let your dog or kid disconnect the USB cable for the few seconds it takes to flash.
