No keyboard options on Skyraider 4.0?? - General Questions and Answers

I have pretty fat fingers an the standard qwerty keyboard just doesnt work with my hands. I just upgraded from Skyraider 3.5 to 4.0 and all but just having the single keyboard I love it. I have become acustomed to the Compact Qwerty keyboard that was included in SR 3.5 and have seared a many keyboards on the market to no avail at matching one. Is there anyway to get the SR 3.5 compact qwerty keyboard onto the SR 4.0 rom ?

If you go into the development part of the forums and look under skyraider there is an addon for the htc keyboard. I installed it with my skyraider 4.2 and I have the compact qwerty keyboard back. It works great.

skins for HTC Diamond QWERTY Keyboard ?

Look on the net all the possible skins HTC Diamont Keyboard but I could not find. I help you? Maybe if there's pink and look through your answers
Blumarine
You could download EZinput keyboards, HTC Diamond has 1.5(I think), while there are 2.1 versions on xda here, although unstable so I do recommend a backup.

Or you could of course download FingerKeyb, it's up to you which one you like more.

changing input method on android

Hi,
I'm about to order an Xperia X10, but i really hate using software keyboards (QWERTY).
Is there any way i can install/replace the QWERTY keyboard with a T9-keypad type input method like the one on my HTC Touch HD?
cheers in advance
Better Keyboard has a compact qwerty, and i`m pretty sure a T9 style as well. You might want to check out the leaked WVGA HTC_IME, it is considered by many to be the best soft keyboard available on android.
i found the HTC IME, it looks great. I havent recieved my phone yet, i'm wondering if its as easy to replace the IME on android as it is on Windows Mobile. I.E. will it feel hacked on or "native"? thanks
Changing input methods is supported natively.

[Q] Gingerbread Keyboard

I tried using the gingerbread keyboard. Very nice indeed.
My question is:
Does the gingerbread keyboard implement the BlindType technology Google recently bought. I am thinking not; since i tried a little and didn't see much difference.
But anybody have info on that?
Another question. Is the Swype keyboard still and option?
Swype is completely separate from the Gingerbread keyboard (or any other keyboard), and you can have as many different keyboards installed at once as your phone has space for. I have 4 or 5 keyboards, including Swype, on my phone.

(Q) Stock Android keyboard with Swype?

I have Hyper Nonsense and it comes with the stock keyboard. Converted from InsertCoin, I'm sorely missing the Swype/touch input, and the Swype keyboard by itself is so-so.
Is there a modded version of the stock keyboard out there with the Swype type option, coz that'd be cool...?

Keyboard skins

Hello,
I recently installed JB (CM10) on my Motorola Defy+. According to me, the new Android keyboard is excellent at guessing words but it makes typing really hard on a 3.7-4" screen.
Is there any way you can keep the original JB keyboard modifying the skin only? (or else is there any keyboard with the same A.I. of the JB one but a different skin?)
