lost or weak signal - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hi all, I am having only 2 to 3 bars signal strength on my g2x, but my other phones have full signal !!! The worse issues are not able to receive phone call, no missing call note, or making call after the phone went in idle for short time from 45 minutes to 2 hours. It will works after I reboot the phone, then it normal.

[Q] Weak signal UNTIL I make a voice call

My new phone is exhibiting strange behavior that I haven't seen any postings about. (okay, one posting, but it didn't have any replies http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=660243 )
I had a Note 2 (AT&T) that worked great for about 6 months until the usb port died. Several ROMS, several modems, no signal problems.
I warranty returned it, and new phone constantly loses or maintains a week signal, until I make a call. Using data, the signal stays pretty weak, and drops a lot. Typically around 1 bar. Browsing the web, the pages hang for minutes at a time. Outbound text messages frequently fail with an error. Incoming calls frequently go straight to voicemail. But, if I dial voicemail, the signal bar immediately jumps to full bars. Now I can hang up, and use a strong data connection for about 3-5 minutes, until the signal slowly drops back down. Toggling airplane mode, or rebooting does not seem to jump start the signal. Making a voice call though, jump starts it immediately every time. Additionally, the battery life seems to be much worse, but I haven't actually benchmarked it. It is the battery from the original phone.
I've tried the phone bone stock with the latest 3 modems, and with CleanROM and latest 2 modems, and with stock and Adam kernels. The behaviour is exactly the same in all cases. It's like the radio just sort of goes to sleep until I make a call.
At first I just assumed it was a hardware issue, because the old phone worked just fine, but the fact that a phone call wakes it up makes me wonder if there's more to it. I took it into my local AT&T store and they found the IMEI was listed as the old phone, and corrected it. Of course, my phone worked perfectly in the store, even before the IMEI change. I figured that was the problem though, and it actually seemed to work for the rest of the day, but the next morning it was back to a weak signal.
At this point I guess I'll return it, and try another one, but I figured I'd check here and see if there was a better solution.

Reception troubles

Recently unlocked and flashed a rom improperly and messed up my phone (see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2599519 ) long story short I got my phone fixed at a repair shop, who also installed cm 10.1.3 on it for me.
After getting the phone back I had really shotty reception. In my house where I normally got 3 bars (with signal drops rarely) I was struggling to get 1, out front of my house where I normally had a full signal I had 2-3 bars that would constantly crash to 0 signal. I literally had to walk 3 blocks up a hill to get a strong enough signal to make a phone call without it getting dropped every 30 seconds. In places of strong signal I was and am still able to get a full signal without it dropping. Went back to the shop I had it fixed at (they removed the battery because he was having trouble with the power button, they also replaced my button as it only worked 1/2 the time) and the tech said it sounded like my antenna may have been damaged. They replaced it with a new (possibly used) one for free. Thought my problems were solved as when I got home I had a normal signal in my house. A normal signal for a few hours I should say. Its been 4 hours since I got the new antenna and My phone has gone back to its old habits of getting 1 bar for 20-30 seconds every minute or two. Anyone know of something internally that could be killing the antenna? Is it possible to tech spilled some solder or ****ed something up when he changed my power button that could cause this problem?

Phone Signal Strength drops considerably during phone call

Does anyone else have this problem and if so are there any fixes available?
I have fairly good cell signal within my home (around 95db), in the past (event when I first purchased my Pixel) I would never have any issues with calls being dropped but within the last 2 months I have noticed that when I use my Pixel normally (not on a call) the signal strength is fairly normal, but as soon as I answer a call the signal strength drops off and more often than not the call drops. I've had to start making sure whenever I am talking with someone I have to be near a window. My wife has a Samsung S7 and this does not happen to her.
Does this happen with anyone else?
Thanks so much in advance!
When the phone is idle it connects to LTE network but when you place a call it switches to HSPA network, that's why your reception drops down. At least that's what happenes on my phone.

Audio Problems (cutouts) on Three (UK), Possibly VoLTE related?

My girlfriends Pixel 2 has been having audio problems on Three UK recently, during a call the audio cuts out and she cant hear the person on the other end (silence), but they can usually still hear her.
Its been doing it on and off for 6 months usually 5 or 6 minutes into a call. One of the symptoms is the Signal bar drops to empty immediately on answering a call (which sounds fine for the first few minutes even with 0 bars) It returns immediately on disconnecting the call to full.
We live very close to a 4G tower and get a great signal, as well as having tried a three home boost device to triple check the signal. And when hers drops the signal to 0 mine is always full (and looking at the actual signal strength.. its fine before and after on hers, and all the time on mine)
Google replaced the phone on Warranty after confirming the issue, and the replacement does the exact same thing.
I'm wondering if its something to do with VoLTE.. as I noticed when her SIM is in my phone (Pixel 3) VoLTE works.. but in hers its showing not provisioned. (I check this because it started happening not long after my phone became VoLTE enabled on Three)
Anyone got any other ideas or any similar experiences with Three? (It never did it on Tesco Mobile which was her old network.. and didn't do it on three immediately on changing to 3.)
