Hello, I just updated my captivate (with much thanks to xda) to froyo 2.2. My question is once the phone restarted why did the look of everything change? I thought this was the new look for the phone but it reverted back to the old look. The screen lock, market and a few other things changed. The settings menu and some of what I've seen in screenshots has changed, but why have somethings. Changed back? Is there a way to get the look of what I first saw? Has anyone seen this or have any idea what I'm talking about? Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible to arrange icons in row form rather than honey comb (hexagon) form. I am just not able to get used to that placement. It is too darn difficult to read. I know the argument is that its easier to press, and many here have started liking that form, but It is unreadable for me.
Another question is, is it possible to get the old today screen in 6.5 some how. I have my weather program which show hourly weather on today and it is so convenient.
I did lot og googleing around, and I came accros posts which says that getting old today is possible, but those may for ver early releases of 6.5

Dunno about honeycomb, but for old today, go to Settings > Today > Items and click on all the items you want, and it'll revert to the old Today screen.
Thanks for reply. I have reverted back to 6.1 as I could not stand the above changes. May be I need give myself more time with 6.5 to get used to it. But I will certainly try again, now that I know I can get my 'Old 6.1 style Today" back.

It gave you back only the Today screen, but not the old menu. No use for the stylus for such setting (hexagon)!!!!
Fresh I hope you see this post and it doesn't get burried... I downloaded your lock solution on your website the one that came with the 3 fix-it's in it (last download option) I flashed it on my phone and it worked completely fine but then I went to go shut off my phone and I see this.. (Image Below)
As you can see where my frustration comes in... the original 2.1 Icons are gone and now are replaced by weather icons and two of them have too large of text and does not fit in the box. Is there a way that you could fix this? Perhaps changing it back to the 2.1 Icons and or providing an option to fix these icons. I would prefer the 2.1 Icons though.. Thanks Fresh!

Go back to the site and download it again. That was a bug when I first released it and it's already been resolved. If the site is still linking you to bad ones then let me know, but I fixed that very early this morning.
Now before you grill me for not searching the forum, i have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find it anywhere in the forum. If anyone can help me out, i would be really appreciative. im still running DC1.0 cuz its the fastest by FAR and its hard to find theme files for it.
no one has gotten around to making one for v1. there are plenty for every other rom however
id like to post a requests for some icon packs for the new sprint leaks. i mean, we're supposed to be getting 2.1 icons with the o.r. right? lets see some creativity!!
I know these may be bad questions, but I cannot figure them out. I have a rooted Droid 2 with the ADW & Darkedge theme. First, for some reason my dialpad did not change at all. I've tried downloading a few skins from the net and I get error code 7 when trying to install from recovery. So if someone could point me in the direction of new dialpad that would be great.
Also, my google search widget didn't change either. Actually, when I look at the Darkedge pics, a lot of my apps have not changed at all. I have used Metamorph and tried to change them several times.
Can anyone point me in the right direction/help me out? Thank you very much...it is appreciated.
Ok so I have decided to make my first attempt at making a Themed CM7 Rom. For my first attempt I just decided to kind of port my phones original Stock Froyo Rom onto CM7. I figured I would do this first just to teach myself how to do things and not so much worry about things like style or images as most can just be swapped over as I have decompiled all the APK’s from both Roms. I have gotten pretty good as far as doing simple things like swapping or editing images and rebuilding the APK’s but there are a few things specific to CM7 that I have not been able to figure out. At first I thought that if I just kept looking I would find answers before running through all the APK’s. Now I’m just about done with all the APK’s and everything is working and looking good but I have yet to figure out the following before putting a stamp on the project.
1, Was actually how to enable a bootsound but have just figured it out.
2, the build I used for the theme came with the Nexus Live Wallpaper as the default. I have replaced the default wallpaper in the Framework-res but can’t figure out how to set it as the actual default and not the nexus. I have read on a few forums that I should find it in a strings.xml and replace “live wallpaper” with @Null but not only can I not find the entry it just does not sound correct, but I really have no idea.
3, How to change the default lockscreen style? Looking to set the sliding tab style as the default.
4, How to disable the glowing over scroll effect as a default?
I know these are probably Rooky questions but I am by all means a complete Rooky. Otherwise I am proud I got this far, the thing looks just like the crapy old glichy Froyo Rom. Anytime I would have an idea in the past I would loose interest in the idea in trying to figure out how to apply the idea. This kind of has worked out as I’m just about done and the next time an idea hits me I can be all over it. Anyhow any advice on the above three would rock. I did not think they would be as difficult as they are but I have been unable to find anything that has worked so far.
