I know these may be bad questions, but I cannot figure them out. I have a rooted Droid 2 with the ADW & Darkedge theme. First, for some reason my dialpad did not change at all. I've tried downloading a few skins from the net and I get error code 7 when trying to install from recovery. So if someone could point me in the direction of new dialpad that would be great.
Also, my google search widget didn't change either. Actually, when I look at the Darkedge pics, a lot of my apps have not changed at all. I have used Metamorph and tried to change them several times.
Can anyone point me in the right direction/help me out? Thank you very much...it is appreciated.

Hi,
i never did a Morph myself, probably i will try it later today. If someone is a bit more experienced he'll do that in a few minutes i think.
May someone be so kind and do the morphs for me (and tell me which file he needs?).
I have different Keyboard Layout styles here for swype (original, black/red, htc style, galaxy syle, original brown style).
I put them in the correct folders like com.swype.android.inputmethod/assets/keyboards. There are only some png's which have to be replaced.
They should work with every version / mod.
A sample morph can be found here (but it is for the old Metamorph version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6753575&postcount=102
The Morphs include QWERTY AND QWERTZ Layout.
Credits will be added soon, i have to look for myself from where i got this. I modified the black QWERTZ and the brown original style.
Thanks Sho3box for the Black Theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2308049

second step would be adding different tracer and corresponding glow colors so everyone can mix that and do his favorite version!
nice!
thanks
PS: Yeah a metamorph would be great.
no metamorphers here?
Have you tried editing en resigning the latest beta release?
Manually and autosigning it both made it crash in my case.
Thx and greets
Yes works great for me but I am signing manually (ok i see you tried both..)
what do you edit exactly?

I tried signing my own apk yesterday and I can't figure it out on my mac. There isn't much support online for Mac users. Were you able to make an HTC theme for Swype yet, or did someone? I don't need anything fancy just the HTC style keyboard in either a MM or apk. I think someone posted the Morph file in another thread but it's for the old version of MM which I can't find one that works on my N1. Let me know if you have anything modded already that could help me out or even the old version of MM would work I suppose with the other HTC style keyboard previously posted.
Thanks!
I'm sorry but I guess my problem wasn't the signing because the install went fine, it's just that when running swype it crashed instantly thus making it useless...
maybe I need to try it with an earlier version...
Could anyone who can confirm a successful mod please post the version number in here?
Thanks
wow id love that black swype with a red trace line for my evo..

i researched and came up with this..i hope it helps.. if it doesn't i cant say i didnt try..

wow i really like those themes
I did a Morph and it was processed properly but afterwards Swype wasn't present anymore to choose as input method.
I checked this twice, on internal and external memory.
But both times same result, swype isn't chooseable anymore
So I had to reinstal it again and then all is fien again.
How do you install this?
I was able to port the kevlar mash made by droidkevlar in the Eris forums. It looks amazing on the Incredible. Now what I'm trying to do is to change the call button from green to blue. I did this once before on the eris by replacing the phone_call_rest,phone_call_selected,and Phone_call_rest.pngs in the framework-res.apk. I tried this on the Inc and it was a nogo. the other files used from the theme worked just fine the way they were. If I can get this all done I will put together the full theme, with permission by the original creator that is. But I tell you it looks amazing already. One more thing, does anyone know how to change the theme from green to blue regarding the highlites and progress bar?
Well I've got permission, now I just need to finish. Anyone? Progress Bar? Color? Anyone?
Oh, and if anyone knows of or can make a espresso rosie that doesnt show the original rosie behind it. And that is fully functional that would be great.
The only thing anyone can say is to read, I'm not trying to be mean or anything of that nature, its just too much info to try and explain, you really have to do it by trial and error. This is what I was told when I was first getting into the swing of things, you will be a pro in no time. in the mean time here is my first them i put together, your more than welcome to depict it and see what I did and change what you'd like. and your looking for blue, and this theme just happens to be called "doblue" so I hope this is of any interest to you.
here is the theme

No sir, there isn't such thing for the moment.
thank you very much for your quick answer, kurt-willems.
I have installed and changed dialers and keyboards many time with multiple ROM's. Unfortunately I'm never quite sure what I'm doing, what I do know is, they work.
I have been fine-tuning my theme and have noticed in my Local and TEXT that I have 2 Gingerbread keyboards. I have searched Root Ex to delete one of them but can't find either one. I do however find swype in system>app. So, where do I find them?
I also found the attached blue swype kb and have interest of installing. How can I tell if this kb will work with my phone? If it does not, how do I change it to work. Though I appreciate folks making these things work, my real intent is to understand how to do this on my own.
Thanks, Tomween1
I know not everyone prefers ShapeWriter, not sure why it's the best keyboard out there, but with all the ICS stuff and themeing, here's a ICS themed ShapeWriter Keyboard.
ps-if anyone knows how to change the tracer color, please let me know. I've asked, pm'd, googled, all with no luck.

just like swipe. its in the libshapewriter.so file. only way to edit it is to use a hex editor. use this as a guild http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162558
you will need to figure out what the HEX code for the stock color and find it in the .so
OK. So any help on finding that color in Hex Editor? I knew it was in the .so file but don't know the location.

you would have to decompile it and see what the hex code is used for the color then search the .so for it.
its easier in linux. i will see what i come up with then i am home tonight.

Thanks. I appreciate it. No worries if nothing happens.
I thought I was the only person alive that still uses shapewriter. Is there any way to remove the background image? It's a bit distracting

Check this out. It's a few replies in. If you want a certain color or background or whatever, I could probably do something for ya.
After I posted that, I did a little playing around.. Made an orange and black one to go with my orange MIUI 4.0 theme
Got it. I posted on other thread.
Shapewriter bug
HI
long time shapewriter user - recently upgraded to ICS (BCM on the desire)
did a restore of shapewriter from a titanium backup of it i had (this was from CM7 ie gingerbread). Works perfectly but for one problem: Whenever i switch to the number keyboard it duplicates the last digit when i switch back to the alpha keyboard.
Any ideas how to fix or workaround?
Presume the "data" part of the titanium restore is the bit that cointain info on my writing style etc so would be up to 2 years worth of learned data that i would rather not have to wipe and relearn. Maybe the app isnt as clever as this. Im not sure?
I think you might be able to do a fresh install and then copy over the library files. Once I get to a computer I'll look into it.

Shaspewriter isnt available on the market/play any more i know that there are modified variants out there but i'm not so comfortable getting it from a lesser source do to the security/easy ability to capture all keyboard input - do i need a special installer file etc or will the data stored by titanium backup suffice. Not sure if it has the apk file.
Any help appreciated.
I have a galaxy note and am still using shapewriter as it is STILL the best tracing keyboard out there. BUT unfortunately it appears on the note in a compacted form, only taking up 2/3 of the width of the screen. Does anyone know if there is a version that would adapt to any screen size??
ICS Shapewriter [Now with xhdpi support!]
Here is a nice ICS themed shapewriter. It also has support for hi res devices.
