hey frnzz,
First of all thanks to all those wonderful people who try to help others out over here..
I am pretty new to this forum so dont know much about how it works. I really need a help for my Samsung galaxy pro.
I am trying to uninstall many apps from my fone, and UNINSTALLING bar keeps on running.. and it does not show the space occupied by that APP, it keeps on COMPUTING...
It doesnot uninstall , the only way to exit is by pressing the home key which still keeps uninstalling service running at the background.
The same thing happens while installing any app..
Well lemme throw some lights of few facts here..
This is the 2nd time m facing this kind of prob. The prob happened for the first time when i tried to install and update of DROIDSTATS...
and this time i faced this prob while trying to install to do schedular pro..
when i tried to install them , the green bar kept going for abt 2mins. So i pressed home key nd i exit from there. Now again m not able to uninstall or install any app..
Now i know if i restart the fone it will not boot . I will be stuck to SAMSUNG screen.. last time when i was stuck at that screen, i had to format my fone completely...
Right now m looking for some other solution if possible..
i tried clearing RAM, ending active apps.. but it did not help.. please suggest if there is any way out apart from FACTORY RESET
Welcome to forums,
Thread will be moved...
kindly help me out...
i dont wanna factory reset again... i am unable to install or uninstall any app.
I was trying to install a apps on my phone, and the INSTALLING bar keeps on running..

Most likely your phone is bricked. Try recovery mode and flash your phone using odin.
I need help! I rooted yesterday with no problems. Tonight I was into Titanium searching for a way to remove bloat. I pushed a tab by mistake. It said it would remove 45mb and reboot. The phone now starts a reboot with sound, then goes into a cycle of the Samsung name screen (no sound) then to the Android launch screen (no sound). Then it just repeats over and over...I have removed the battery and replaced and tried to reboot, with no success. What did I do???

Have u installed clockworkmod recovery?! If yes then just keeps power + volume down + menu buttons pressed and boot ur phone. This should boot into recovery ( a screen with small text) then u gotta flash a new rom. Read about recovery and flashing.
If u haven't installed recovery ur in trouble. You'll have to push it to ur phone via adb. Ur phone is now "bricked" . Ask some senior member in the exhibit forum, as different phones have different unbricking methods
Hit THANKS if I helped you
But don't worry it's not that hard and we're here to help you.

Ok so my z998 android is rooted, and I installed a custom rom for it called something like "unofficial cwm z998" and I flashed it using the flashify app then i rebooted my device, but as when my device was booting back up, it showed a android logo with some blue lines spinning in its belly, and there was a blue bar at the bottom thats suppose to increase or something, but the bar stop at about 25% and wont increase any further, I even went through a whole day at school and when I came home, it still was in the same spot. I also took out my batter and plugged it back in and it booted back up in the same screen and the bar at the bottom would stop at the same spot which was about like 25% of the bar filled! I even tried booting into recovery mode by holding power+vol up, and it still boots back up into the same screen with the android logo and the bar at the bottom! Please tell me there is still hope for my phone, because everything went wrong as soon as I tried to install that custom rom!

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist.
Looks like there is no dedicated forum for your device yet.
However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.
Good luck.
I rooted my phone not too long ago and today during a quick reset to update some modifications I made on Gravitybox, it has gotten stuck in a sort of boot loop. I've tried wiping the cache in modified recovery, booting in safe and download mode, and even resetting factory defaults. But every time I have tried those things, after the LG and android logo screen appear and the Verizon logo screen appears like during a normal boot, it appears the phone is stuck at that Verizon logo screen. I am thoroughly baffled as what to do, because I cannot even manage to get download mode.. I have looked thoroughly throughout the internet but cannot seem to find anyone who has had this problem, so, I decided that maybe someone here might know what to do.
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide!

Heyy there, I have been searching for days trying to find a way to fix my soft bricked phone. I rooted it with Kingroot apk, and root worked perfectly for a few days.. the other day i was uninstalling a google play store app and the phone just shut itself off, and since this day when i turn it on it stops at the opening Alcatel Onetouch boot page.. i guess, bootloop? but it doesnt restart over and over, it just sits there frozen. luckily holding the power button turns it back off tho. I can't hardly find anything about this phone online.. it was given to me from a friend and i think im figuring out why they got rid of it lol. so, any help on how to fix this issue would be GREATLY appreciated.
