Tapatalk Problems? - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I was wondering if anyone who uses Tapatalk has tried to access a new forum site thru the app today? The forums I have already added work fine, but when I try to browse or search for new ones, I have been getting an error for the past 6 hours or so.... the error says "pad block corrupted".... anyone else experiencing this?

Yep. Having exactly the same issue. Only when trying to browse or search for new forums. Using Droid Incredible CM7.

Same here. I can't browse anything as i just setup as new my phone (iphone 4).
Looks like servers felt down.

I had this problem but it started working again. It looks like amazon aws was having some nasty issues earlier today which are still getting cleared up (messed up reddit.com, etc.) and tapatalk.com just happens to be using an amazon AWS IP so I suspect this was the cause.

Yeah, I woke up this morning and it's working again. Thanks for the replies everyone.

[Q] Google connection sync/talk on NS never stays on consistently, lately.

Device: NEXUS S
Carrier: TMOBILE
Country / Language: USA
OS / Browser / build number (if applicable): 2.3.4
As of about two weeks now, my Google services connection sync and even Gtalk never stay on consistently. Data icon goes from green to gray, after wakeup. hen when it is green, I only then start to receive me push notifications. I never had this problem before and was very happy with the Nexus S. Now, however, I'm not so sure about that anymore, and it's a consensus out there that there is no solution, and that Google is "looking" into the problem. I don't think it's necessarily a hardware issue as everything was fine out of the box when I first got my phone, so its likely a Google server problem? Though it sounds like the problems are isolated to Nexus devices and myTouch 4G phones.
I would call Samsung to try to get a replacement device, but from what I hear, it doesn't solve the problem either, and Samsung's CS really sucks too.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am going through the same trouble, too. I think its more of Google server related. One thing tthat I am sure is, it started very recently. About 3 weeks ago.

I have the same issue. It started a few weeks back. Got the 2.3.4 ota...same issue. Came from 2.3.2.
It's been happening to me for a while as well. Even back in 2.3.3 when I was on CM7 and OEM. I seriously think it's a problem on Google's side and they really need to address it because it keeps logging me off of Gtalk which is annoying.
Funny thing is. I notice that it happens alot less when I'm using 2g only....
Wonder if there is something to that..

I am also on two google threads about this, and there is still no agreement on a solution..

I am having the same problem since around mid April. This is so frustrating, please guys flood the google help forums, this the only way google will see the seriousness of the problem.

Flood indeed. Google is clueless on a solution to this problem, especially if they don't even acknowledge it..

Yeah I stay green if I'm on 3g, so maybe it's a wifi issue. I would've sworn it was a 2.3.4 issue though.
highly doubtful that this is a wifi issue, with the number of people of various threads stating that they dont even use wifi....worse yet it occurs regardless of wifi or 3g/2g
i posted a video on youtube showing the problem
http://youtu.be/axpyhgdvuMs
i have the same issue, both of my nexus 1 and tmo G2

[Q] Google Talk Lost Connection Problem

I have the Skyrocket for a day and a half and have had "Lost Connection to server. Messages will be sent when online." occurring constantly. It can happen while using 4G or Wifi, signed into a gmail account on another computer or not. My WiFi connections are set to never sleep.
The solution often seems to be to wait five seconds and it reconnects, occasionally I've had to out and back into Google Talk.
I've found lots of reports of similar problems around the web for different phones and no solutions yet.
Any ideas?
Mine was doing that a lot and I use it to talk to my wife overseas. After I rooted it and downloaded bloatware free and just froze useless things i realized it wasn't doing it anymore. It could be a coincidence or idk wth I'm talking about. Only other thing could be ur data connection could be screwed or hogged by other application which is causing it to consistently disconnect. Let me know how it works out.

I'm still having this issue, and it is quite annoying. It is still around after having rooted the phone and cleared all the private data to sign in with a different gmail account.
If you are also having the problem then it might be good to post about it here:
http://code.google.com/p/android/is...s Owner Summary Stars&groupby=&sort=&id=22570
as always, let us know if you have an idea of what might fix this. If I I figure out flashing a rom I'll let you know the results, but some of the posts in the link suggest that this doesn't always solve the issue.

[Q] Market Issues - No Connection on 7.0 Plus

Hello all,
Just bought a the 7.0 Plus tonight and am already having some issues. Out of the box, I was having problems with it dropping wifi connection. I was in range and it showed signal, but the only way to get internet connection with it was to cycle the wifi on to off. Its probably happened 4 to 5 times already in my first night.
Anyways, I used it until the battery was near dead and then plugged in to charge. Now the market place will not load. I get an error saying "No Connection". Cycled it off then back on, nothing. Deleted my google account thinking maybe re-sinc the account and I'll get it back. Now, I can't even get the google account back on it. It only says an error something along the lines of failed to establish a connection. Facebook app, nothing. Picasa web albums, nothing. More or less all the apps that need a connection, nothing. The only exception to this is I can go all over the internet all I want. I am getting a "Security Warning" saying "There are problems with the security certificate for this site". I get this on more or less every site I visit.
I am fairly baffled. Rooted Evo's, GSII's, ect. This is my first tablet though. Only thing search turned up was off a Thrive tablet someone did a full factory reset and got it all back. I'm thinking that might work for me, but its not even a day old and for the price these 7.0 Plus' cost it shouldn't be doing this. Should I be looking to exchange it for another? Maybe I just got a bad one. I'm close to just swapping for an Acer A100. I wanted the 7.0 Plus for the newer hardware because I tend to keep them for a while, but dang this is not working well. Oh, its fairly laggy too. I mean, my original 2 year old Evo on CM7 with a Tiamat kernal isn't this laggy. Its actually smooth, lol.
Sorry for the book I just wrote too. Just fairly upset at this point and looking for help.
Download samsung kies on a pc and update the tab
I tried that, but it didn't help. I forgot to mention I have Kies installed an updated everything when I first started it up.
I returned it. Not willing to deal with features that don't work as well as they should, wifi dropping, and issues out of the box. I'll probably just pick up an A100, but who knows. I also just got a Galaxy Nexus so that'll keep me busy for a bit.
Hello,
I realize this thread is almost a year old, but has anyone else had this connectivity issue with their Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus? I have the Wifi Only tablet (GT-P6210) and this is the second time for me to have an issue similar to what Bill3753 posted above. The first time this occurred I did a factory reset and the problem was resolved. I really don't want to do that again and mess with having to reload all my documents and downloading all of my apps again.
So, after almost a year does anyone know a fix for this issue? Or can someone share a link to the right info?
Thanks in advance!

Ok my problem is fixed now! The problem was with my Google account. I removed it from the tablet and then tried to add the account again. I kept getting an error that said "can not establish reliable connection" and after doing a search for the 50th time I came across a post that said make sure date and time are correct. I changed my date and time, then tried to log in and it worked that time! Now my Play store is connected fine and the browser doesn't constantly give a certificate warning message.
Hope this saves someone else a headache.

Google servers

Apparently I have been having trouble since this morning with connecting to my google account. It has been saying that I can't sign into my gmail account. I am on Paranoid Android build on Sep 2. It was working before, I tried a reboot but nothing has worked. Should I just update Paranoid Android or is there something else I can do?
I'm on CM10 and I have this issue, too. Is this across most/all devices or only a select few?
I'm getting the same error on synergy r73, my google services work fine but its telling me that i'm having issues signing in. Even tried changing passwords to try and trick it into thinking it was syncing fine but still pops up.
Yes, same here
It seems its a global thing, I too get the error on my Galaxy SII with CM10
Might be a bad route somewhere, because I've been logged in all day from home and then from my phone.
EDIT: Seeing later posts, I don't have or use Google Now - this is a stock, unrooted phone.

I just started seeing the same thing on my phone as well. GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Good to know its not just my phone. Wish i had known that before i changed my password =/
im not getting it on my GS3... maybe only some people are?
Ive been having this problem too. Im running stock rooted 66. All my normal Google apps work fine and my options in account sync across the board. The issue, with my device at least seems to be the google "now" search i flashed to my phone. Trying to get to that and see my cards initiates that error.
Did a little googling and the gnex users are having problems too. It seems like its connected to the google maps update. Google said they were changing some stuff to have sync across devices like when you search on your comp, the search history will show up on your phone. Im guessing google search card trying to pull maps is the issue for me? Can anyone confirm if you also have google now and having these issues because of it?
I wonder what is causing it? Especially if it is happening on multiple devices.

Most likely a Google Now issue. Go to settings, apps, all, open "Google Account Manager" and disable notifications. Its a temp solution till Google fixes

Sign-in error for Google account

Starting today, my phone has been giving me notifications about a sign in error to my Google account. It's happened about 5 times so far, all just today. My phone is completely stock. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Are Google servers having some issues?
I think Google was having problems this morning. Maybe they still are.

Same here. I just flashed the latest Cyanogen mod nightly so I thought it was the ROM.

Been getting that error like crazy today. I'm guessing it's cleared up though? Haven't seen it in a minute..
Just started getting it a few hours ago, completely stock.
I wonder if they're just making system wide changes in waves, you guys are getting the errors much later than me, I haven't gotten one in hours now
I am getting as well yesterday and today with 2 different ROMs so I believe its a Google issue
Confirming as well, just got one to be exact
I've been getting the log in error periodically for over a day now
It's been happening to me since last night, and I'm on a completely different phone. In searching for a solution that DIDN'T involve starting from scratch by reflashing a ROM (literally hours of work to retweak and restore everything, titanium backup and all) I found another thread regarding this issue on a totally different phone forum of xda.
I myself am running Now for ICS on my One S running Viper Rom. From this thread, with no details given I can only assume most of you are using Verizon galaxy S 3s?
But anyways. In the other thread it seemed the consensus that the issues were related to Google now. Some users reported some success from logging out of their Google plus then logging back in again. That resolution has provided me no dice so far.
Most users reporting the issue said that their google now was even not working at all. Have any of you tried google now while encountering these issues? Does it work or does it seem to be malfunctioning? Mine (along with the rest of my google apps) all seem to be working fine still. =L
Is anyone on here using a phone other than the Verizon GS3? what roms are involved? Anyone encountering this issue NOT have google now installed to their phone?
Hoping to narrow the details down in the interest of gaining a little more knowledge about this specific occurrence.
This happened to me a couple months ago, and I was running GNow for ICS back then too. Can't remember but I'm fairly certain the issue worked itself out. But its obnoxious ass all hell. Been getting the notification once every 5 minutes whenever I dismiss it, and its been prevalent since last night! It's starting to severely irritate me lol.

I'm on an HTC Amaze running a custom Speed Rom. My battery ran out during the error message and my phone wouldn't turn on again. Luckily I had a nandroid from earlier in the month, but I still lost 3 weeks of data on my phone, not the end of the world, but certainly a nuisance. I also recall having this happen a few months ago and the issue resolved itself so my guess is that it's an issue on Google's side. I am, however, disappointed that it's taking so long. A few hours is fine, but over a day and counting?
FIXED!!! (for me at least)

Tell me about it. Im seriously starting to lose my sanity over this.
A couple users said to disable Google Account manager (via settings > apps) as a temporary solution, but for me doing so disabled all of my g apps entirely so that's definitely not a good work around.
I spotted a thread in the amaze forum involving a speedrom issue (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968141) and he seemed to think it was related to his Rom. Seemed that doing what he did resolved it, but given the prevalence of this issue accross as many devices as it has and as many roms as it has, I'm inclined to think that the issue coincidentally resolved itself while he was busy flashing lol
Regardless... I'm so desperate to stop being pestered by this issue that imma bout to wipe cache and dalvik cache and see I'd that doesn't fix the issue for me as well. I'll report back when I know one way or the other.
Edit - cache and dalvik cache wiped. Crossing my fingers. Only time will tell... Or not. Got the error whilst I was writing this paragraph lol. No dice
Edit 2 - interesting. I've had the sports card running for a couple days now. It kinda updated but didnt seem to be working 100%. Whether its related or not, im not sure but simultaneous to this behavior I noticed that the search function didn't work. Didn't open chrome up at all so I'd simply have to type my search into chrome directly. I just disabled the sports card and my search function is working again all of a sudden. Haven't gotten the error yet, if this pans out that might have been the source of my problem. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Edit 3 FIXED!!!!! (for me at least). It's now been an hour and 35 minutes since I disabled the sports card. My now search has been working for the first time in days since the instant I disabled it and the error free hour and 35 minutes is by far the longest span of time I've achieved in the last 24 hours (was getting the error within 5-10 minutes of each time I dismissed it previously). Anyone else encountering this issue have the Sports card enabled? Try it, see if it solves the issue for you as well and share with the class =)
Edit 4 - I guess it was a passing moment nonetheless. Got more errors.in the last 15 minutes after about 2 and 1/2 hours of not seeing it at all. Damn this is effing ridiculous

Yeah AndroidAutobot, still issues here. It's really starting to get on my nerves. Kinda wish there was a way to disable specific notifications because it's not really hindering my usage. My only concern right now is draining my battery.

Yeah. I gave up on it last night and figure with it being as prevalent as it is, it absolutely has to be server related and can't be anything Rom/system related by any means. On a positive note Im pretty sure I havent seen it in 3-4 hours so maybe they've finally fixed it. This is day 3 for me so I sure hope they did
