[Q] Market Issues - No Connection on 7.0 Plus - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hello all,
Just bought a the 7.0 Plus tonight and am already having some issues. Out of the box, I was having problems with it dropping wifi connection. I was in range and it showed signal, but the only way to get internet connection with it was to cycle the wifi on to off. Its probably happened 4 to 5 times already in my first night.
Anyways, I used it until the battery was near dead and then plugged in to charge. Now the market place will not load. I get an error saying "No Connection". Cycled it off then back on, nothing. Deleted my google account thinking maybe re-sinc the account and I'll get it back. Now, I can't even get the google account back on it. It only says an error something along the lines of failed to establish a connection. Facebook app, nothing. Picasa web albums, nothing. More or less all the apps that need a connection, nothing. The only exception to this is I can go all over the internet all I want. I am getting a "Security Warning" saying "There are problems with the security certificate for this site". I get this on more or less every site I visit.
I am fairly baffled. Rooted Evo's, GSII's, ect. This is my first tablet though. Only thing search turned up was off a Thrive tablet someone did a full factory reset and got it all back. I'm thinking that might work for me, but its not even a day old and for the price these 7.0 Plus' cost it shouldn't be doing this. Should I be looking to exchange it for another? Maybe I just got a bad one. I'm close to just swapping for an Acer A100. I wanted the 7.0 Plus for the newer hardware because I tend to keep them for a while, but dang this is not working well. Oh, its fairly laggy too. I mean, my original 2 year old Evo on CM7 with a Tiamat kernal isn't this laggy. Its actually smooth, lol.
Sorry for the book I just wrote too. Just fairly upset at this point and looking for help.

Download samsung kies on a pc and update the tab

I tried that, but it didn't help. I forgot to mention I have Kies installed an updated everything when I first started it up.
I returned it. Not willing to deal with features that don't work as well as they should, wifi dropping, and issues out of the box. I'll probably just pick up an A100, but who knows. I also just got a Galaxy Nexus so that'll keep me busy for a bit.

Hello,
I realize this thread is almost a year old, but has anyone else had this connectivity issue with their Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus? I have the Wifi Only tablet (GT-P6210) and this is the second time for me to have an issue similar to what Bill3753 posted above. The first time this occurred I did a factory reset and the problem was resolved. I really don't want to do that again and mess with having to reload all my documents and downloading all of my apps again.
So, after almost a year does anyone know a fix for this issue? Or can someone share a link to the right info?
Thanks in advance!

Ok my problem is fixed now! The problem was with my Google account. I removed it from the tablet and then tried to add the account again. I kept getting an error that said "can not establish reliable connection" and after doing a search for the 50th time I came across a post that said make sure date and time are correct. I changed my date and time, then tried to log in and it worked that time! Now my Play store is connected fine and the browser doesn't constantly give a certificate warning message.
Hope this saves someone else a headache.

Error msg: Network connection failed

Hey guys,
got a bone stock Epic with just a few apps on it, nothing crazy. I keep getting this pop-up error msg that says something like "Network connection failed" and it gives me the option to retry or cancel. Either selection does nothing that I can tell. Theres no rhyme or reason to when or why it happens. I just got off a phone call a minute ago and it popped up again. Probably happens to me about 5-6 times a day. I've got wi-fi, gps, 4g, and bluetooth turned off for battery life. The radio signal shows full service when i get the message and doesn't indicate anything is wrong.
Anyone have this happen?
I'm also having a problem with e-mails not refreshing the inbox on the phone and notifying me i have a new e-mail until i go into the e-mail folder and check it myself. Possibly related?
Hoping froyo will fix this, but I'm hesitant to root the phone if I'm gonna have to take it back to Sprint for service.
For me I get this message in youtube sometimes. Not sured why it happens. It happened in the market only a few times but happened in youtube slightly more. Annoying of course
so its possibly being cause by an app i added? I only installed a handful of apps. I'm tempted to uninstall them one by one until i figure out what the cause is.

I'm highly doubting it has to do with an app as my husband gets it all the time too. I'm seeing quite a few network problems with the Epic right now. Errors, GPS taking forever or not at all, and reception sucks. Hoping a new radio is all we'll really need, but I'm not positive that's going to be a cure. Maybe someone else who knows the tech side of this a bit better can jump in here.
I'm thinking it might have something to do with Sprint (in my case) as the board is filling up with posts that not only us, but EVO users are experiencing this. I personally haven't on my HTC Hero though.

[Q] Can't download anything from the Market when on Wifi

I just got my Nexus S this Sunday, and it worked fine for the first day. Second day came along, and it started acting up. When I tried downloading stuff from the Market, it would "start" the download, so when you checked on the Notification Bar, it had the Arrow pointing down, but no Data was being transferred. It just stalled there, without any progress being made. I've tried rebooting, and once that worked, but it never seemed to work again after that. It works flawlessly if I'm 3G, though.
Just yesterday I rooted for the first time, and got CM7, didn't like the Home Screen Replacement, and switched to NS Collab. I haven't really done any fiddling besides that. It was actually already acting up being I ever even thought of rooting.
I've tried the GTalk solutions, signing on and off: nothing.
Help?
Anyone?
I just got this phone, this shouldn't be happening now...
no problem, i can download from Android Market in both WiFi or 3G

Do you think I should try installing anything on it?
Or is it a problem with my Network? I don't really have access to any other WiFi Connections right now, so I have no clue if the problem is with my WiFi.
Hmm, strange. I have never used 3G on my nexus...only wifi and never had a problem browsing, downloading or whatever.
I would say that your problem is with your wifi device.
I've tried opening Port 5228 on my Firewall, but still, nothing.
What pisses me off the most, is that, Samsung throws the blame at Google, Google doesn't know what to do about it, tells me to do random things, such as open Talk, instead of giving actual solutions. And the things they tell me to do don't work at all.
I can see why people prefer iOS over Android.
Simple: it just works! Android is flaky as heck.
Don't get me wrong, I really like my phone, but for it to not function properly within the first week of me using it is bull****. And then the company that's supposed to oversee this doesn't have a friggen clue about what to do. Incredible.
maybe you have a bugged phone...
one thing you should notice is that the wifi reception on this phone is weak, that´s a fact. But I manage to connect either open and wep/wpa wifi networks...
That's the thing though, WiFi works perfectly. I can connect and do anything on it, I'm even using the XDA apply over Wifi right now. The only thing I can't do is download anything from the market...
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
puuuutz, now I got it. hmm, on early days of nexus, I read a post that people coudn´t get in the market store or download. To fix, the suggestion was reinstall market, but don´t ask me how, cause I dont know, uahuahauh.
now, my nexus is stock, not rooted, and everything works fine. maybe if you try get back to stock, will work...
good luck
I've tried deleting all updates the Market installed on itself, getting it back to its stock version, nada.
Since yesterday, I've also reverted back to stock. The bootloader is still unlocked, though I might lock it up soon.
Much rather have a functioning phone, even if parts of it aren't perfect, than a pretty paperweight.
I'm almost giving up on trying to fix this. Google has no clue of what to do, Samsung much less. I guess I'll just stick with the apps I have, and wait until eventually Google fixes the issue.

cyanogenmod + miui forcing close HELP

ok i have a samsung captivate i987.
i bought it already rooted running cyanogenmod and miui. this was 6months ago.
the phone has worked a treat since then, its perfect.
but 2 days ago all of a sudden its been forcing close on nearly everything - facebook, browser/internet, hotmail, google, even sms.
i have no idea what's causing the problem or why i why its happening. i havent installed any new apps recently
and i have done no other rooting or anything with the phone since i got it. since its not even the newest version i assumed it was stable or at least it has been for the past 6 months so i dont get why it would suddenly change.
also when it forces close i have the option to report it but i cant complete the action as it asks me to use gmail or bluetooth. usually there is another option and its easy to send right away without having to input a destination address.
if it helps i'm running android version 2.3.7
can anyone help identfy the problem? and help me to fix it?
this phone is great and i really dont want to have to chuck it.

The most likely issue is the fact that it is running a dual boot and your SD card is messing up. I never advise dual booting as things like this can happen. I would reflash a stock rom. Then go from there. Also might find more help in the captivate section.

DQA keeps Stopping

Anybody keep getting this error after the update from verizon. I keep getting it. I've rebooted, I've gone to recovery and wiped cache and still have it. I saw a post on the s8 post somewhere googling around.
I have at&t and got it after the update. It finally did stop at least.

Yea mine finally stopped as well

Yea it's back for me in full force. WTF Samsung
Back for me to this morning. Anyone know what DQA even is?
I think it has something to do with wifi quality. I installed package disabler pro and disabled the service (along with a bunch of other stuff). Problem solved.

I should have done that prior to the update. I'm going to make it till the next stable update, then disable all update processes like I did with the Note 7. My phone was nice for a day before the idiots go mucking with it. I also have a red tinted screen after the update, which I don't think I did prior.
The update brought nothing I want. I'm a complete idiot for letting the phone update. I knew better. It was late at night...
I also think the update changed my LTE signal and the logo on the connection bar. It was better before. I'm typically full strength when lying in bed, now it is 1-2 bars.
Seems it was triggered this morning but receiving an MMS message of someone sending me a pic of the error. so maybe it's the MMS on wifi triggering the error.
There was a procedure where you enable Bixby and swipe left. I tried it and it worked.
At least until this morning. Its back again.
Hurry Samsung and either get out a fix or let us go back.
This way resolve my DQA error

I purchased 2 S8+'s. I updated one and began getting the DQA message immediately, about 2 every minute only on that one updated phone. After spending a day trying ALL of the solutions you see posted, I thought I had it solved until it re-appeared 4 hours later! I decided to go down to the Verizon store to have them resolve this. They spent 45 min on the phone with THEIR technical support and basically went through the same list of solutions we've seen posted. None of them would work. Additionally, I had a Samsung GearS watch that would not install (Error Code 5).
The other phone WITHOUT the update has worked fine, no errors and the same watch installed fine. I asked Verizon to just to wipe the phone so I could start over without the update. Several technicians in the store told me that would NOT work. They stated the update is not removed by restoring the phone to the factory image. I found this difficult to believe, so I said, "Fine, give me another phone!" For whatever reason, and I don't care what the reason is at this point, this phone is not performing as it should, you obviously can't fix it, so as far as I'm concerned it's defective and I demand a replacement. They provided me with a new replacement and transferred all of the apps I spent 6 hours previously installing, to the new replacement, the watch installed properly and I left the store with a properly working phone with no error pop ups. Verizon solved my problem! I am now, once again happy and WILL NOT allow the software update to install until Samsung corrects this.
If you installed this update, you WILL begin receiving the DQA message ONLY when you are on WIFI. That's unsat for a new expensive phone. Simply bring it back to your Verizon store. Demand a refund or another phone. That is the most effective way to send a direct message to both Verizon and Samsung management that you are not happy. No doubt they pushed programmers to release this update before properly testing it. These managers should be held directly responsible for their actions that led to destroying an otherwise fantastic device. And WHY haven't they stopped this bad update???? My phones are still asking me to install it. Nope! NO WAY!

All this and you could've just cleared dalvik cache, no?

Clearing cache doesn't work, but apparently Samsung is pushing an dqa update through the Galaxy app store
So yeah, apparently Samsung is to have pushed out an update to fix the issue yesterday. I have not received it and I still get DQA keeps stopping almost all day, even sometimes when not connected to WiFi. Is there anyone else that has yet to received it? I read it was pushed via Galaxy Apps, so I opened it, but no update. Search in the app comes up with nothing useful.

You did not resolve it, you worked around it.
Go to Play store, Download package disabler pro ($1.49) and disable DQA.
Best $1.49 I spent and I can kill so many crap processes.

Question Home Wi-Fi, sluggish apps

Hi. I have not visited since some time this great place, but for some time i'm encounter some issues with my S21+, Exynos version with 8Gb/128Gb.
More exactly, i have some long waiting-times when i'm opening some apps during my home connection via Wi-Fi, on both versions: 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. For instance, Samsung Weather almost is not updating when i'm requesting this or if i'm opening the app. On other apps, local one, similar with ebay, i cannot access my account, it just shows me that is loading, but nothing happens. Strange is that if i'm connected via mobile-data, i don't have this issues. This leads me to believe that is something wrong with my Wi-Fi connections, only that i don't know what's the problem. I'm having a lot of other devices connected to wi-fi and no issue. I'm owing this phone since more than one year and this issues i'm encounter only in the last 1,5months, i would say. I remember that also in the past i've encounter same issues with the former galaxy phones i have owned: Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S20+. Last week i've also performed two times Factory Reset from the Recovery, but seems that this annoying issues continue. This is the reason i've finally landed here as seems for me the last place to receive some advices. During first reset i've restored some backups i've did before, but noticed the same problems. Second time i did not restored anything and no improvements. I really don't understand what should be wrong with my wi-fi network as long as is worked for one year and afterwards suddenly it creates me headaches. Phone is updated to the latest available OTA software which is Android 12, ONE UI 4.1, baseband ver: ...CVH7
Any advices will be kindly appreciated. Somehow, Samsung is trying to convince me that i need to upgrade? Which seems sad for me after so many years spent with them, more than ten years when i have owned i think all their galaxy models.
I've found the answer to my trouble. Seems i was not alone. The solve is to disable IPv6 from your router and this type of issues are solved later. Topic closed.
