I am getting as high as 350s on GPS Test app, but only 30-40s on other phones. Anyone else getting this high?
Yeah, my bars dont even fit onto the graph lol
It's not just GPS Test app. The GPS Status is also freaking high. This has a ridiculously powerful GPS inside.

I flashed new Gingerbeead 2.3.3 and rooted. I did notice that my wifi is so low on 1 bar. i am like next room from wifi router.. my old 2.2.1, it was always full bar. umm i wonder, is it Gb's new bug? thanks
You're not the only one! I think mine had the same problem. Mine only has one bar and nothing higher and my room is right about the wireless router.

I'm fairly certain the application used is irrelevant, the GPS gets the same result no matter what. ROM might influence it, but I've never noticed a difference.
I vote for Google Maps in any case.
What's the best way to get GPS to work properly? It takes me anywhere from 4-6 mins for a lock. And while it's trying to lock on, the battery just drains. I use GPS tool to get a lock and trying to cold start it. What's everyone's solution to this?

For me 100% reliable: use GPS status to download AGPS data>reboot (must be outside obviously)>use GPS status to get lock>use location app of choice.
Also, on March Baseband, I get GPS locks on the bus moving down the street. If need a functional GPS you really need to be on the newer baseband.

Yes my device has seemed flawless until driving home tonite and the gps showed tight link but navigation was way off because it had me jumping around about 2000m off actual location.

I literally just drove to Boston and back. Gps is accurate as it can be. No problems here. And I'm a cab driver so I use it pretty often.

I am providing this link and you can decide yourselves what you want to do. According to the thread, the S4 is not listed under the "supported phones" list, however, the OP of this thread I am listing states that if you Email him, he will consider porting support. It already works for the S3 and many other devices so it shouldn't take much if anything to make it work with the S4. I suggest you read the entire thread before trying anything or asking questions. You might also consider an App such as "GPS Status and toolbox" from the Play Store. It might help.

i am on the new update and the GPS inaccuracy happened for me in a LTE area. how many of you with this problem are in a LTE area when this happens?
maybe in that time, your device only accees the AGPS to get your location.and hold on when phone find the gps satellite you will get the most nearst location

Here in NYC my GPS is perfect. It locks on about a second after I open Maps or Navigation.

When I install a weather app the GPS lock times become unreliable, if it locks at all. (CM9 with Proton) I tried turning off the location detection on the ones with the choice, but still...
Any suggestions on what to try next troubleshooting that behaviour?

Well if it is working on other apps sounds like gmaps, etc then the weather app itself isn't up to par...that's all I can offer hopefully someone else can chime in more to help you.

What I mean to say is, with the different WX apps I've installed, Maps and other GPS apps don't get a reliable lock. Without WX, works pretty well.

If your maps or GPS apps aren't working right try AGPS patch that a on the forums. Another alternative is to try GPS aids app or GPS doctor app. They might fix it for you.
My GPS was not working properly I used those two apps and now I am around 5-8 meters accuracy with about 10-20second lock.
If anything it might just be the rom.
