Hey guys,
New here...new to Android as well. Loaded the RUU update from jcases link here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041514
Everything seemed to go fine, phone is running again. I had to reconfigure a few things. Radio version reads 1.16.00.0402W_1 in Hboot. Is this correct? did the update apply correctly?
Thanks in advanced.
yes that is the correct version.
Great, thanks

Anyone have 2.3.2 radio baseband ?
I need to downgrade from 2.3.3
I second this. Having problems with Radio. Mobile is working OK BUT the telephone. SIM is not being read correctly. SNS is not asking for PIN.
Tested PIN on a HTC magic and works, so SIM is OK.
Anyone HELP!!!
Anyone else had the same problem?
OK, now radio is OK. Just unlocked and flashed full 2.3.3 ROM (90Megas version). Radio is OK again.
UFFFFF!!!!!
However the phone is CLEAN!!!! BUAAAAAA!!!!!
I have a nand backup from 2.3.2 before starting to play
I will keep playing a little bit more, restoring it.
Edit: Phone is back 2.3.2 fully alive again, with data restored ....
Ok. Finally got into 2.3.3 fully working. Radio OK. All data OK. And Rooted.
Process I followed to get everything OK.
1. Install full 2.3.3
2. Restore nand from 2.3.2 with data
3. Re-apply the patch from 2.3.2. to 2.3.3.
Everything worked.
Had to unlock in the process, since after installing full 2.3.3 root was lost.

Hi there guys. Just had a quick questions and would appreciate any help or suggestions.
I rooted my phone, installed Synergy Kingdom ROM. Rebooted my phone and it's working great!
Only question that is stuck in my head is does every ROM have its Radio, Wimax, NV & PRI Updated?
Or do you download/install them seperate. Also, how to find out what is the right one for you to install or Do I need to install it or not?
I would appreciate if I can get some help on this.
Hey guys,
So I had just recently installed CM7 on my Sensation. One thing I noticed was that I seemed to be losing data a lot more frequently than when I was running the stock rom. Has anyone else ever heard/seen this issue? I'm using a t-mobile unit up in Canada's Wind network.
Any advice would be great,
Thanks!
J
It might be the radio you have installed. Can you tell us what radio you are using?
Hey thanks for the reply!
I think I had flashed the file that was provided in the rooting tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
I was going to flash to the radio recommended on the CM7 thread but I decided not to since I saw both files were named PG58IMG
my current baseband is 10.56.9035.00P_100.14.9035.01_m
ok....so i just tried to update the radio. downloaded the zip from the cm7 thread. updated via booting into bootloader. followed all the steps. phone restarted...and now i'm stuck at htc load screen.
am i screwed?
*** problem fixed. wasn't aware that was the bootloop issue.
Hi !
I have the ARHD 3.6.8 flashed on my Sensation.
There is a recommended radio for the custom ROM.
But in the guide it says phone must be ENG S-OFF & Radio S-OFF.
I know the phone is already S-OFF, but does the custom ROM also Radio S-OFF.
If not, how do i Radio S-OFF the sensation?
Nevermind guys. I just flashed the radio anyway and it worked !
Hey guys i was successful and i was able to install my 1st rom 3.6.8. I been trying to scheme through all the post and searching but can't seem to find an answer. It's says it's recommended to have the latest RIL 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 radio on the 1st post. However it also says not to flash radio since the ROM includes the recommended RIL, basically just need clarification and from the search i found some say if the stock radio is working prperly than leave it alone, my version currently running is 10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01 and i believe everything is working fine, haven't really tested, been at the house all weekend : ). So, my question is, should i have to flash radio to 10.58? I'm TMob US by the way....

If youre stock radio is working, leave it at that for a bit. I am currently running 4.1.8 ARHD with the 10.58 radio and it is working alright - I wouldnt say great. I did upgrade to the newest radio 11.59.3504.00U_11.16.3504.16 a couple days ago to try it out and it was absolutely horrible for where I live. I will be flashing 10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01 today and testing that out to see if it works any better than 10.58 and I will let you know how it goes. I have TMO by the way.
Also, just a reminder when you want to flash a radio it is better to do it through ADB rather than the recovery you have. To do so:
> adb reboot bootloader
> fastboot flash radio radio.img
- radio removed
- new radio flashed
> fastboot reboot
I recently rooted and started applying roms to my nexus s. Everything was going fine until my network data stopped working.
Have tried to unroot and return to stock but cant seem to get it right. whenever I try to use clockwork recovery any update zip i apply fails. Im currently on:
version - 2.3.1
baseband - 19020AUCKF1
kernal - 2.6.35.7-g7f1638a [email protected](hash sybol that isent on my mac keyboard)1
build - GRH7
I am based in the UK and think nthat my radio could be wrong?
When I factory reset in 2.3.1 i get the official update to 4.4 which dowloads, verifies then on installation stops and wont complete.
I am confussed with all the terminoligy and find the info on here overwelming to follow correctly.
on another forum i got the response that if i dont understand the process then I shouldent be doing this. Fact is I thought I did know what I was doing until it went wrong.
Could somebody be good enough to help me through this so I can restore my nexus s to working order please?
Read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884
Check your phone model, behind the battery. You probably have a gt-i9020 since you are in the UK.
Probably you need to flash the correct radio. What's a good choice? If you do have 9020, anything in the list with kb3 in it.
Kb3 has no limit to how fast it can upload data, which can be a benefit depending on how you use your phone. Most people would choose kl1 which is the most recent.
Download and flash in cwm recovery. Reboot.
Let me know if that works for you.

can you make calls? if you can, check your apn settings, settings>Data and networks>More>APN and delete everything, and retype the correct values for your carrier. if calls doesn't work, follow the post above. ^
