I have just got an Nexus S but found something strange.
The baseband is displayed in the Fastboot as I9020XXKB3, but in the "About Phone" menu, it is I9023XXXKB3.
Is it possible that my phone is somehow meddled?
Thanks a lot!

Hi all
I've buyed a MK809III and I'm trying to root my device but I can't find the "debug usb" option on settings menu.
I've tryed to start my device in update mode but it only diplay a black screen and I don't understand what I've to do.....
Someone can help me on rooting the android stick?
Greetings
[UPDATE] I've founded the solution in 4.2.2 developer options was hided... if you need you've to tap nine times over the "build number" information in the "about" menu.
Thx to all
I am consistently getting a popup that is preventing me from accessing certain web site, that reads:
"Your device's software is out of date. You can check for an update in Settings>about Phone> System Update."
This is a tablet (Samsung tablet 10.1) not a phone, There are no settings that I can find for phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks

sounds like a rogue app.. Did you install anything right before this started. If not i would look for any apps in system you do not know. Or Do a Factory reset. You did not tell what version rom you are on so i assume you are on latest. You can check for updates thru Kies on your computer connected to tablet with usb cable
Hopefully this isn't too big a question.
My phone just did this all on its own, I was just browsing the web with it. Just running whatever was on there from Verizon and HTC, not rooted or anything.
Now all I can do is get to the fastboot menu, and can do a few things there. I just tried to go to hboot then factory reset, this after trying a lot of things, and it didn't work.
It's connected to my computer, it seems to be recognized, at least by "fastboot devices" but not by "adb devices".
It shows as "***LOCKED***" and "S-ON". Everything I've found that talks about changing those requires going into the settings, setting developer mode and or usb debugging. I can't see how to do that if I can't get into the OS.
Am I screwed?
Thanks for any assistance.

On the back of my phone it says SM-G920F,but in Download mode it says: SM-G920P.In phone settings it says SM-G920F,but in the "Phone INFO" app it says SM-G920P. I want to flash base 6.0.1 firmware so i'm not sure which one to download?
Hello I have a motog4g and cant connect to any network.
I try *#*#4636#*#* tap to enable radio but nothing happens. I have tried to flash mutiple firmwares 443 444 501 but checking the radio from the testing app is always off cant be turned on. I can successfully lock the device after a lollipop full flash but problem persist. Is the modem bricked?
*#06# shows correct IMEI also phone info shows correct imei, however fastboot getvar all IMEI field is empty??
When I turn on the phone (now I am trying kitkat) it starts with airplane on but it is not actually on. Phone info shows radio off, data off.
It seems I can't switch radio signal on...as I said I tried flashing stock firmware including modem firmware (NONHLOS, fsg) of 443 444 and 501 but nothing works. The baseband shows correctly different versions in the about phone android tab, so I don't know why the radio is down...is the modem recoverable? I have checked that the modem firmware always shows OKEY in fastboot, so it is flashed correctly.
if someone knows how to check if modem is permanently dead through logcat or something else please share
if someone skilled can help with maybe android diagnostic mode and adb commands to talk to the modem? I don't know what to do
When booted does IMEI show as nothing as well?
IMEI baseband IMSI etc etc all show correctly in about phone, and doing the dialer code, it is the same as in the back of the battery. It is empty when doing mfastboot getvar all, but that shouldnt be an issue. My problem is not imei related I think, it has to do with the modem not wanting to turn RADIO ON
Ah ok. I don't know then
