What is DiskUsage:
It is a way to find memory hogs on storage card using graphical representation of directories/subdirectories/files proportional to their size on storage card.
What's new:
- implemented hardware OpenGL renderer
- support for Honeycomb tablets
- different filtering to display apps2sd
Todo:
- integration with root explorer
Changes
3.0alpha: honeycomb support and OpenGL renderer
OLD:
2.1.2: fixed CM7 support, available on market
2.1: submitted to market
2.1alpha8: fixed crash bug for orientation change in App Storage
2.1alpha7: improved multi-touch, it is possible to continue zooming in or out holding one finger down
2.1alpha6: elastic horizontal zoom
2.1alpha5: automatic fall-back to original scanning algorithm if native scanning doesn't work.
3.0alpha4: hide by default list of mounts which require root. Ability to customize the list of mounts.
3.0alpha3: correctly handing nested mount points (/sdcard, /sdcard/emmc)
3.0alpha2: slightly better diagnostics and finding 'su' and 'chmod' binaries.
I am posting this in the Portal. Relax, you cannot expect to get feedback right away
This looks rather interesting... I'll have a look now.
EDIT: This is exactly what I've been looking for, works perfectly so far on my Galaxy S

Crashes? Error message? Waiting for more details... Logcat messages would be very useful in PM. Different 'su' binary can be an issue.

The same. Please send me exception trace as personal message. I am using native part to do scanning from now on and it is not tested well yet. You can try market version of diskusage, it should work fine with storage card.

This version should be able to read ext partitions as well, using 'su' to get full access. That's the change I'm working on right now. As you can see there are some incompatibilities, but I haven't seen a stack trace for any of them yet, so didn't have a chance to make fixes.

Hi all
Im new here so I hope this is posted right. Ive developed an Android app that is similar to the iPhone Photoswap app. For those not aware, Photoswap lets you take a photo and send it to a random person, and you will in return receive a random photo back. You can then take part in picture-conversations with the person who you received a photo from.
Ive had a couple people testing my app and it seems to just about ready (apart from using the default app icon), and I'd like to put it out there for others to start using (and hopefully provide some feedback on ) Im new to android development (although not new to programming itself), and this is my first android app. IMHO it works better than the similar Picswap app that exists already, as this doesnt force-close constantly or throw-out error messages regarding "corrupt" images
I have attached the APK with my post for anyone who wishes to download and install it
There is a known issue with the app at the moment that it does not (at least on HTC devices) delete any photos that you have taken, and they still appear in your Photos app. From what Ive found, using the camera Intent saves 2 copies of the photo to the SD card, and Ive only found one path from the URI to delete (so 1 copy is deleted, but the other remains). These can be deleted from the Photos app still however, but Im looking into how to delete these automatically from the app also.
Edit: The app also starts with a blank screen (no default image yet), just press the menu key to begin
Edit 16th September: New APK uploaded, fixes some threading issues and adds debug log output. Please download and install this as the old one may continue to run in the background and not pause properly when changing apps.
For those having issues, please use aLogCat (from the market) and filter by "SnapSwap" to access the debug log. Please PM me a copy of this along with your phone model and android version and I will look into it Most issues so far seem to be with Cyanogen Mod and Motorola users
hay, i'm one of the beta testers,
and this app is really nice
i hope the optic would be a bit better in the next beta , but it makes fun to "swapping" pictures with other testers !
it is much faster then "a world of photo" it never take longer then 10sec since i get a picture
Really nice and weLL done
Greetings from germany !
Thanks for sharing!
Im going to try make an icon for it soon along with a default image to be shown as well, and adjust the polling time with the server for replies (or even look at adding a push notification system to it)
Just updated the APK in my original post to fix some bugs as at least one user was not being assigned a unique ID properly, updated the server to watch for this also.
For those that have already installed the app, I recommend installing this one over it
If those that have installed it could provide some feedback it would also be greatly appreciated
nice idea i like it , i will share my photo with others sounds good
i will feed u back
I downloaded, installed and when i took a pic it immediately force closed.

There has not been any unwanted material sent via it as yet. Im looking into the best way to ban those that would at the moment. As it is currently though, devices are only identified via a unique ID provided by the server the first time the device accesses it, and this is extremely simple to get around if I were to "block" a device.
To those that have had force-closures: Can you please let me know the following..
1) Do you have an SD Card installed?
2) What device are you using?
3) What version of Android are you running?
Works great for me on Samsung Vibrant. I only get one copy of the pictures (that I take), then of course the temp files SnapSwapImg.jpg (the last pic I took) and SnapSwapImg2.jpg (the last one I received). I totally dig the application! You can reply to pictures (of course, with other pictures), receive replies, and even continue your "pic conversation" with that individual. Yeah, you could end up with a dude's (or chick's, though I doubt there'd be many complaining) junk in exchange for your picture, but putting in any kind of regulation for something like that just ruins the whole point of the application. Can't wait to see this adopted by more people.

UNDELETE - RECOVER YOUR FILES ON THE GO
Undelete for Android is an application for root users that allows you to recover any type of deleted file from your SD card or internal storage.
With support for over 1000 file types, Undelete can come in handy if you accidentally delete photos or want some old tunes to listen to.
Undelete can also securely wipe and shred files so that they will be impossible for others to recover.
Features:
- Restore any file that has not been written over
- Securely wipe/shred files
- Thumbnail generation
- Works with images, video, music, archives and binaries
- Batch operations
- Preview media files
The free version of Undelete 2 now allows unlimited restore of image files - you will have to purchase the Key to recover all other types of file.
Currently, only FAT is supported. On Tegra devices, only the external SD is supported. EXT 4 will probably never be supported - use a desktop tool (if you can find one).
Some files that are discovered after a scan may fail to recover as data may be corrupted beyond repair, just like desktop based solutions.
INTERNET and READ DATA permissions are needed for the logging system. Logs are only sent manually with your permission through the "Write to us" dialog.

Regarding double storage - send logs, we now have an improved logging algorithm.
Regarding action bar - its just a normal action bar.
Regarding not liking that everything is not free - you do know what a buisiness is right? We have to PAY people to WORK. We have to PAY for office space. PAY PAY PAY.
We dont do ad supported apps. They are pointless on rooted phones.

You have absolutely no idea what youre talking about mate - if it was free for seven days people would just install it every time they need it, then uninstall, then install again.
Anyway, end of discussion.
So - is everything working ok in 2.0? We made many changes, so some feedback would be appreciated!

Its working PERFECTLY. One small question though - can you provide a full list of the supported files?
EDIT - submitted as newtip! Hopefully they will write on the portal!
I will get you a full list tomorrow. But in fact the app supports any filetype. Simply use a wildcard in the search string: *.png for example will find all png extensions.
Basically you can restore any file...

Not going to make this all that difficult here. This ROM continues Jaybob413's Evervolv ICS. Just built from source on my own machine. Development here will be as time permits as I'm also developing my own Evo3D stuff. I do not have an activated Hero and cannot test MMS and Dialer capabilities.

That won't matter. I didn't add OpenGL2.0 to this build. What I have here is the same Evervolv ICS that JB built. Just built from my machine.

I installed this open gl 2.0 zip after your ICS rom.
I am running quadrant now to see if there were any video performance gains and upon starting, it warned me that it may not work with opengles 2.0 or something to that effect. I'm guessing not since its still chugging away.
I've read through Jaybob's ICS Dev and ICS Rom thread and got to here but its been a while since I played around with my phone so I hope I'm not overlooking something. Thanks for your support.
Oh ok ok. Sorry. Long night. I got ya. Trying to compile ICS for the shooter too my brain is out of it.
After looking some more I realize it didn't get built in to my test build... Hmm.
Change the ro.opengles.version=131072
Then add this line somewhere in build.prop also.
Code:
debug.sf.hw=1
The zip adds the opengles line to local.prop but it won't hurt adding it also to build.prop.
However the debug line doesn't get added. So true hardware acceleration never gets access. That line should enable it. Remount system and reboot.
This is just off the top of my head. Ill get time later to look more into it but for now try that. It won't hurt anything. Plus you can save me a little time. Need more testers of information like you.

Hi, I am a developer for u8220 msm7200a device on modaco.
Let me share my thoughts with you on that "OpenGL 2.0" drivers.
The "original" archive has two drivers and config, obvious.
libGLES_qcom.so - hardware accelerated proprietary driver from Qualcomm.
libGLES_android.so - software renderer. Compiled from source.
So libGLES_qcom.so in the archive is of version OpenGL ES 1.1, and screenshot on the original thread shows it. Nothing new with this driver. It was around for very long time already.
You do not take advantage of that file/hardware acceleration, as you disabled it in your rom:
#0 1 qcom
I think from my experience with cm9, it'd help. (But boot animation brokes if enable hw acc).
ro.opengles.version in build.prop is responsible for "2.0" version on that screenshot. Tested myself. I can make Android System Info show 2.0 on froyo rom with only real 1.0 drivers.
For that reasons the archive looks as fake to me.
But it still might help, as *your* libGLES_android.so (and mine too if compile from cm9 sources) performs worst than one from GB or froyo. I tested it on froyo and it gave me 14 fps with fps2d app, while any other gives 29 fps (including the one in "2.0" archive)
That I hope explains observations that the archive does not help on GB and lower, but might help on ICS, because the latter is not in very good shape anyway.
That's what i was trying to figure out was if the drivers were the "original" and basically this is doing the same work around we have always had. Thank you pier for looking at that closer. It clears up the recent confusion.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
sweet, so it looks like it will help if enabled in build, but it aint no 2.0 but 1.1
STILL, 14~FPS vs 30~FPS is 2x...

TESTED ON GALAXY NOTE, GALAXY S3 AND IT IS WORKING.
Downloading and trying with SGS2.
atm faced up with this issue "a MAJOR CPU hog AFTER it has been closed. I understand it using a large amount of CPU during its activity.. but after i exit it continues to keep CPU at 100% until i reboot... "" but if you want to use this app and dont want to have this issue- you will need to make reboots after you have used that app.
If you download it might me cool to mirror the APK. I predict this is removed within 2 days by Google

yeh ok no problem i think also, google will remove it
Looks interesting, gonna give it a try. But why does it require so much SD space?
It doesn't work for me. And I also had the huge cpu usage after closing the app until I restarted the phone.
I have a suggestion. You know how the WifiKiller app is able to detect the card manufacturer? For e.g. "Apple Computer" would show up with the ipaddress? Is it possible to implement something like this

This app seems nice but I second that!

This runs a debian image background. It uses it to do the actions.

Sir,
You are creating a real evil software.
Congratulations for that!!
OP: I'm a network administrator and someone showed me this and I don't understand how it works.. how do I prevent people from doing this sort of thing on my network? Pretty sure this is on the same lines as WifiKill if I'm correct? The device use arp and pretends to be the router?
