If your having the same problem then most likely your hard bricked. This is not the Samsung Vibrant section. This is the Galaxy S 4G section. If you have insurance, just get a replacement.
i dont have insurance, hic, so...
So you have the regular Vibrant correct? So you tried taking out the battery, SIM card and memory card and get into download mode?
my phone is samsung galaxy s 4G, i dont have insurance, , i buy it on ebay 400usd , i tried turn it into downloading mode, but it didnt work.

Ok. Do you get any lights at all or it doesn't have anything on the screen at all if the battery is in or plugged in the USB? What were you doing before it was bricked?
it doesn't have anything on the screen, it is black screen, i flashed this rom multiupload.com/GZT6ZYFX46 by odin, and then my fone doesn't work.

What made you decide to use a Vibrant ROM? Did you happen to use the Vibrant PIT file too? Or did you just use the TAR file only when you used Odin?
well i bricked my phone to what u can try is buying a unbrick jig from ebay or making one to put urself into download mode then once in download mode use odin and put T959VKB5 as your tar folder (no pit) then run it

I would have recommended that if he was able to get the phone to turn on but it doesn't look like it. I've read many threads saying jig's won't work unless the phone powers on at least or the screen has some kind of back light at least.
thanks, i'm buying jig, i'm trying with my fone, i will post result early.

Hey !
I was trying out the ROM Manager and was checking out the roms available in the list, i accidentally pressed a wrong model and my device was flashed...now my phone is hard bricked, it doesn't even switch on in any mode.
i cam across this link for Samsung Galaxy S
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838942
here he shows how to get the phone into download mode.
Wanted to know if the same procedure can be used for a Samsung Galaxy Ace ??
thanks in advance ...
an exact thing happen to me.but i manage to get my pc to detect the phone by pressing power+volume up+home (i dont know what mode).odin detected my phone but the flashing stuck at setup connection..because it was not in downloading mode i guess...
same as above, help needed!
additional info: pc and odin detect phone bot not kies, on kies it keep saying connecting....and theres no display on the phone
same here wont do anything
same with me, my phone wont start even on download mode so you cannot use odin.. please help.
same case , i accidently pressed wrong phone version and my phone was 'bricked'
any help ?
Same happened here! Has anyone found a solution??
Edit: All right. Here's what I did:
1. Remove the battery from the Galaxy Ace
2. Connect the USB cable to the PC as well as the phone
3. Hold: volume down + home + power buttons all together and insert the battery while you're doing that (could be a bit tricky but it works)
4. Now you should be in download mode with "downloading" on your screen
5. Open up Odin v4.38 and flash your stock firmware (find it on samfirmware)
6. That's it! It should be fully working now (at least it did for me)
Tell me if it works for you guys!
its okay alr , i bring it to the service center it claims my motherboard spoil , it changed a new one for me
@ramy.s - i tried what you did but still nothing happens.
@donomeoww - how much did it cost you for samsung to replace your motherboard? i know jtag can be an option to revive the unit but sadly the model is not yet supported, lucky for samsung s5570 though they already have jtag support on 1st week of april.
same thing happened to me.
did different methods to bring it to boot, even the two-prong diy to force to turn it on, still no go.
in the end, store replaced the device...with a bnew one of course.
Did anybody successfully revived bricked ACE??
Found expensive solution...
google "riff box samsung galaxy ace"
Samsung SGA revived
hey guys, i bricked my phone last april then the only solution to revive it is by replacing the motherboard or by using JTAG. btw JTAG support for samsung was released last May 12.

It just corrupts your motherboard
So a hardware issue can't be solved from home
Only option I guess is Service Center
Hope you have warranty
ROM Manager is a tricky tool
It hard bricks your phone if you do even a step wrong !
Ps ....Im just cautioning everyone so that it doesn't happen in future to others....

reloading tar by odin:laugh:
Hi everybody, im new here.. so i'll go to the point.. i had recently buy a samsung galaxy s2 tmobile t989 version, im from south america, so i need it to root the phone in order to unlock it for all the operators.. so i followed this tutorial step by step http: //galaxys2root.com /galaxy-s2-root/ how-to-root-t-mobile-galaxy-s2-sgh-t989/ (just fill the spaces)
Now.. once the the odin finished.. the cellphone got in a boot loop, i couldn't even go to the recovery mode.. because in the recovery mode also reboots.. and now.. the phone wont turn on.. and when i connect to the pc via usb.. y get that noise.. its like two fast tinun (dont know how to explain) and now i dont know what to do because the only way i think this could be fixed is via JTAG but no one does that here.. only in the USA.. anybody can tell me why that tutorial didnt work and what can i do now?
Post this in the phones forums and you will get a lot more help.

Sansung GALAXY S2 T989 Bricked
Hey. Some nimwit knocked my laptop cord out of the wall while my battery was low and scewed up the rooting process when my laptop died. I have a sprint galaxy s2 T989. My screen now says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" It also displays a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. I've tried the Kies but Kiew isn't connecting to phone. Also odin is reading phone when connected. I DL a stock rom now for ICS but I have a feeling this wont work. I just bought this phone. Please help me.
[Q & Help] Hi There, I was trying to flash my Rogers Galaxy S II LTE back to the Rogers ROM , but during the procedure the phone got disconnected and went OFF. I can't turn it on anymore and I am lost. Any help please??
P.S.: I am a n00b and this is my first android experience.
There is a reason it says do not turn off target when its flashing. What did u do to disconnect it when it was flashing?
So u cant get into download mode either? All you can do is try a jig if it does not work your out of luck.
Although I put it in a safe place while it was flashing, my "evil" nephew got to it, disconnected it and removed the battery :-(((
USB jig is your only hope

No need to worry, your phone isn't bricked. Turn the phone off and attach a usb cable to a computer. Hold down the volume button and plug cable to it. If you have Samsung drivers installed you should go into download mode. Using Oden reflash the phone with the correct kernel for the os you'll be using.
Moving to the correct board......

a) This should have been moved to Q&A
b) It's nice to see that the S2 community is even less welcoming than ours.
c) Can we just lock and clean this?
4) If you can't get it into download mode, you're probably bricked. If you're still within the warranty period with Samsung, call them and try to get a replacement (don't mention anything about trying to root the thing, just tell them it won't turn on and you don't know why). If it's outta warranty, unfortunately you are probably outta luck.

Guess what it went pearshape and it does not boots up all the way only to where it says 'samsung galaxy s4 1905' then turns off. I can press home, down ,and power but not home up power it used to come up with all the info but not any more. I have tried using odin but it still did not work. Maybe i did something wrong using odin but i am not sure. Thankyou in advanced for the help many thanks Mike.
