Hey !
I was trying out the ROM Manager and was checking out the roms available in the list, i accidentally pressed a wrong model and my device was flashed...now my phone is hard bricked, it doesn't even switch on in any mode.
i cam across this link for Samsung Galaxy S
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838942
here he shows how to get the phone into download mode.
Wanted to know if the same procedure can be used for a Samsung Galaxy Ace ??
thanks in advance ...
an exact thing happen to me.but i manage to get my pc to detect the phone by pressing power+volume up+home (i dont know what mode).odin detected my phone but the flashing stuck at setup connection..because it was not in downloading mode i guess...
same as above, help needed!
additional info: pc and odin detect phone bot not kies, on kies it keep saying connecting....and theres no display on the phone
same here wont do anything
same with me, my phone wont start even on download mode so you cannot use odin.. please help.
same case , i accidently pressed wrong phone version and my phone was 'bricked'
any help ?
Same happened here! Has anyone found a solution??
Edit: All right. Here's what I did:
1. Remove the battery from the Galaxy Ace
2. Connect the USB cable to the PC as well as the phone
3. Hold: volume down + home + power buttons all together and insert the battery while you're doing that (could be a bit tricky but it works)
4. Now you should be in download mode with "downloading" on your screen
5. Open up Odin v4.38 and flash your stock firmware (find it on samfirmware)
6. That's it! It should be fully working now (at least it did for me)
Tell me if it works for you guys!
its okay alr , i bring it to the service center it claims my motherboard spoil , it changed a new one for me
@ramy.s - i tried what you did but still nothing happens.
@donomeoww - how much did it cost you for samsung to replace your motherboard? i know jtag can be an option to revive the unit but sadly the model is not yet supported, lucky for samsung s5570 though they already have jtag support on 1st week of april.
same thing happened to me.
did different methods to bring it to boot, even the two-prong diy to force to turn it on, still no go.
in the end, store replaced the device...with a bnew one of course.
Did anybody successfully revived bricked ACE??
Found expensive solution...
google "riff box samsung galaxy ace"
Samsung SGA revived
hey guys, i bricked my phone last april then the only solution to revive it is by replacing the motherboard or by using JTAG. btw JTAG support for samsung was released last May 12.

It just corrupts your motherboard
So a hardware issue can't be solved from home
Only option I guess is Service Center
Hope you have warranty
ROM Manager is a tricky tool
It hard bricks your phone if you do even a step wrong !
Ps ....Im just cautioning everyone so that it doesn't happen in future to others....

Sorry for my bad english
I got a Samsung GIO S-5660.
I installed Rom Manager and i installed the clockworkmod recovery.
But now the phone wont boot, dont start in recovery mode and not in download mode.
can somebody help me.
if i use a jig cable, will it work?
dude i have the same prob hope i get it solved i only have it for 3 weeks
Was there a choice for the Samsung Gio in ROM Manager ?
You have to make sure ROM Manager supports your phone before using it .
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
I had the exact same thing. My phone is now at the store, or it might even have been sent to a Samsung center already. Don't know as of now.
At any rate, the piece of **** that Clockworkmod is does not list any Samsung devices which must have served as a primary warning not to go through with it.
Nevertheless, I still did it. Phone turned off. Won't boot. Buttons won't work.
same here bricked samsung gio with clockworkmod
I just bricked my samsung Galaxy gio with the clockworkmod in the Rom Manager app.
I tried to flash clockworkmode to create a rom backup and then selected a random model from the list (there are only like 4 models there anyway!) No questions asked, no warnings , phone went stright to brick.
This app should produce some sort or error message or at least a warning if its not compatible with a model. As of now it works like brick your phone first, aske the questions later.
Any suggestions?
thanks a lot
so since ive rooted and flashed a few android and symbian phones, my friend gave me his samsung galaxy sl 9003 and asked me to flash it to gingerbread, i choose official rom instead of cyanogenMod. i flashed device with odin v1.82 and when the phone shoud have rebooted, it did not, so i pulled out the battery and now i have no sign of life. no booting, no recovery, no download, even the hard reset button on the back does not help. is there any way that i can get this thing working? oh, and there is no radioshack store around, so i cant make a usb jig. please help me with this, i dont have money to buy him a new galaxy s
Same issue
Please please please..
I just had the same problem. Mistakenly and so stupidly I flashed my I9003 with I9000 stock.
Now phone is totally dead. I mean no recovery no download nothing.
Please help me out.
Is there no one to help?
Tried JIGing, combination keys (in various ways mentioned), hardware reset from back..nothing is working and phone is still dead.
Only thing left to do is JTAGing. Phone is still under warranty so don't wanna do it.
Will samsung cover this issue with their warranty?
Please at least help on that. I'm totally disappointed here and helpless.

Try getting in download mode by:
Clicking the volume down + home + power button together.
If it doesn't work do this:
Remove battery, press volume down + home + power and while pressing these buttons put on the battery.
Now, this will open the download mode, when that opens, it means you have a chance to recover your phone! "Horaay!", grab a firmware and flash a clean stock installation from ODIN as soon as it goes into download mode.
If this fails, Jtag or service center.
No results on screen (
I have done what and all Skander1998 said, but still the screen black ( Please me know any other steps to turn on mobile into download mode
thanks in advance
You need to send it to samsung service center man. Alot if people bricked their device that way. Or google for jtag service.

try this.
1. remove the back cover and you can see a tiny hole between the camera lens and the speaker. you need an assistant for this. call your brother or anyone. use a pointed material that can push the button.
2. while pushing the button, do the download mode and from there you can flash the right firmware.
try it dude..
Quick solution is samsung service center

After I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7" using prerooted.tar.md5, I had the same issue. The screen kept flickering and now I want to unroot to go back to the original manufacturing setting. I just flashed this firmware and it restored to the original condition except the flickering problem still exists. Please help.

First I greatly appreciate this forum; you may actually be able to help - - - -
Apparently I may have turned my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5200 into a brick; my battery was below 50%, and it asked me if I wanted to update my IAP? - -somewhat of a novice in this regards, said yes, immediately asked me to connect my charger, after I did the power was not charging and continued to drop. I have tried most of the suggestions from google sites; and an IT friend of mine indicated this sounds like a firmware issue and I would have to send to manufacture - - -I purchased it 1 1/2 months ago brand new; I LOVE MY GALAXY TAB 3; currently in a war zone and it would take forever to send back and get back; can someone give me some hope on restoring power so I do not have to send back . . .Thanks to all of you, be safe.

Hey guys. can i have some kind of feed back from the people who know about this problem . i have rooted galaxy tab 2 10.1 att 3g +wifi . everything was working jus fine until i flashed recovery switcher from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2676180 . after i installed it i then tried to flash the TWRP recovery . when aked to reboot my tab never came back on instead my computer recognize my tab as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM7) . I cant get Download mode neither Recovery mode its like completely dead now.
here are some info of my tab:
SGH-497 At&t
4.1.2 JB
CWM recovery v6.0.2.3
Your tab is not listed in this link , you goofed up, better start writing to Santa for a new tablet .
Your tab is not a P5113, two different tabs. 10" yes, but different ROMs and operating systems. Its like flashing a Samsung phone with a Motorola ROM, all you get is a brick.
That's why you have to read op's carefully.
Pp.
Yes, like @PanchoPlanet told: AT&T have different hardware, seems like a hardbrick.
If you can't get into downloadmode nobody can't help, you need to send it to repair center.

So this isn't something I can fix on my own ? This is the first time I screw up my device. There is noway possible for me to get Odin to recognize it ? Not sure if there is anyone in my country that can fix this :/
Probably cheaper to purchase a new tablet. ( and leave it stock ) .
Sorry about your lose. ?

Nope you can't fix it on your own. There are several variants of the Galaxy Tab 2. Wifi only which is 5113, 5110 and 5100 the latter two are different in that the 5100 has a modem like a phone and the 5110 is like the WiFi only but it doesn't have an IR(infrared) similar to a TV remote.
Flashing the wrong firmware for your device in most cases makes it unusable and an expensive brick. In some cases you can possibly find a jtag service which gives you the option of someone else reverting the bootloader back to a working version, it's a repair service in which they have to go into the device and manually edit the motherboard. Sadly this service is not available for all devices, your better off getting another one at this point
