[Q] messed up with messages

hi guys, searched but no luck, there's something strange with my sms app, even handcent, I can only receive sms, no more able to send, there's some option or setting I can check on?
maybe i messed up with settings on *#*#4636#*#* IDK
just to be clear on nexus s running 2.3.6
vodafone italy as carrier

solver, just lost message center number....
send from my office chair...my boss is out there...

If you are on stock you will need to go to *#*#info#*#* menu to update SMSC with the SMS server you will need to use SMS server number but using PDU format (link to a converter http://www.twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode) just type in first 14 digits of code and issue will be solved

Can't receive SMS on any rom after full wipe.

Title says about it all. Doesn't matter if I send it to myself, or if someone on Sprint or any other network sends it to me, I can't receive anything. I am able to send, but can only receive in google voice (which I didn't even have installed until this came up).
I've tried stock GB, bugless beast (ICS), as well as CM9. Any thoughts?

Have you tried setting google voice to send SMS to the phone? This can be set either through the web version or the app.

Very strange, I had it set in the app, but when I checked on the web version it was unchecked. I just sent a test message from the wife's phone and it worked. Thanks for the suggestion!

how to set SMS Center's Number in ICS

Ok so I suddenly was unable to send any SMS messages, in any ROM, and the only way this has ever happened before is when the SMS center number is deleted.
So, I flashed back to gingerbread and set the SMS center number and it works now.
But, I was wondering, how can I set the SMS center number in ICS??

what rom? all of them should work no problem with AT&T.
and was it SMS or MMS ? mms is a different issue.

I had changed my smsc number some how. Had to use a hex editor to put it back in.

CM9 nightly is what I'm currently running.
Somehow the Service Center number was blanked out, nothing was there :/

How do I change the MESSAGE CENTER number in Note 5 SM-n920v?

I've got the Verizon note 5 unlocked, unfortunately I cannot send messages maybe because of the Verizon SMSC. there's no place in SETTINGS in MESSAGING that will allow me to change the MESSAGE CENTER number. Any work around on this? Thanks!

Anyone able to make calls and text on this tab? I keep getting an error.

Not calls, but can text on mine with no problem. Have you checked that your settings are correct in your network connections.
