How did you originally convert it to NAND 2.2? It's essentially the same process, the only difference is looking for the ROM.

yes it is now running on nand android 2.2 but i want to try android nand gingerbread but i,m not able to boot in magldr as everytime i tried it boot to the android 2.2
I don't think you understood the question. How did you put NAND Android 2.2 on your phone? Did you do it yourself or did someone else do it for you?
If you did it yourself, it's simple to boot into MAGDLR, turn off your phone and turn it back on but HOLD the power button for a 1-2 minutes straight and after that; it should boot into MAGDLR. If you didn't yourself, you need to find out how the person put the ROM on, through MAGDLR or cLk; both have their own different ways to install ROMs. I perseonally never tried cLk but I'm assuming the community on this forum can help you out with that.

one more question.....which of the android is the later version froyo 2.2 or gingerbread 2.3.2
Gingerbread is the newer one.
Hi I have the same question how to upgrate from froyo to gingerbread on my hd2.
I forgot to mention that I have
MAGDLR v1.13 SPL 2.08.
I just wanna see if gingerbread can better because I have problems with the screen rotation its like using android on Sd card and on NAND should be smoother and faster. HELP!
Same Dilemma
I just got an HD2 from a friend of mine and it has Android 2.2 already on it. I have no idea how any of this works, updating and installed etc. When i turn on the phone it automatically boots Android 2.2 and ive been fine with that. I have no idea how to boot WinMo if that is even possible or how to update. I have been going through all the posts here and cant seem to find any sort of newbie help, or maybe i am not looking in the right places. None the less any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am new in this forum and I did not get yet the way to install android on my HTC HD2 phone. Does any one know if there is a rom for this phone model (HTC HD2)?
thanks
Not yet..........
The problem that I am aware of is that the HD2 does not have anything like a 'D-pad'. Android needs this to function through its boot recovery menu.

The nexus recovery mode works via volume sidekey...
So does this mean that all that's stopping a ROM from being usable is the control dilemma? i figured we wouldnt even see one until a snapdragon android device was dumped.
I've seen a Hero with WM6.5...........as android on HD2........

? This is no reason to stop android being installed on a device. The android ports from wm devices don't use the recovery menu anyways.
And here is what the op is after.

The HTC Supersonic will be release with Android and it exactlly like the HD2... once it comes out I suspect it will be easier to port

alo! I need rom android for HD2. please...
Helo guys, look for magdlr 1.13 download and flash it through RUU rom utility upgrade (mobile device center has to be connected), after flasing magdlr 1.13 to your phone, then you have to choose if you want to flash it by sd card or from your pc, check HD2androidroms.com. If you chose PC look for a DAF (Dark Forces Team) android rom which you can flash fromby going into usb flasher when phone reboots by holding down the power button, if you chose to flash from recovery, you need to flash revovery 3.0.2.4_120 on top of magdlr to your phone and also accessing it by holding the power button while rebooting. Best was is to do your research by watching youtube videos.
Hey,
I have bought an HTC Hero, which I have updated to Android 2.1
I thought it would be easier to get the custom Recovery... it seemed like a good idea then...
Now it seems that it is much, much harder to get the custom recovery for 2.1
I heard all different strories about 'Goldcard', 'MS CMD', etc.
I really, really don't get it... can someone please clear it up for me a bit?
I realy want to get this recovery but I don't know how anymore...
Thanks in advance!
actually, i have a same problem with you.
I hack root, spl, and do everything to up my G2 to android 1.6 JacxHeroski v1.6r2
but later then, i hard reset my phone, so i clear my recovery in my phone, and set up a new recovery. But when i did it, always have error:" sending recovery fail...." something like this.
Now i cant install new recovery to my phone.
Some1 plz help me solve this problem.
Thanks cheer
hi,
I rooted my htc desire a few days ago using unrevoked 3.2. I then backed it up and wiped the phone and installed a custom UI (MIUI). I had loads of trubble with installing the rom and then found that my back up wouldnt work either. Today i tried a hard reset but when i boot the phone up all im getting is the o2 boot screen (branded phone to o2). All i want is to go back to what i already had on before (htc sense 2.2), no other custom roms
thanks in advance, please help. my phone is useless at the moment
I may not know much about HTC hardware and sense i do know that if can find the original ROM there should be instructions to install it or just try flashing it. I'm sorry if im mistaken.
How do i flash it and what does flashing do?? and were can i find the original ROM? sorry im a noob
Download and flash RUU_Bravo_Froy2_UK_2.14.207.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_144166_signed.exe from here: http://www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bravo/
You may need to have HTC Sync installed on your computer to flash the RUU.
This information is well discussed in the Desire section of these forums, you should check it out.
Good luck.
Hello again experts,
First of all , I love Android ! Period.
Currently , I'm running a Cyanogen 7 Gingerbread 2.3 off my SD Card.
I like it , its pretty stable( if you have any other ROMS that have everything working and much more stable compared to Cyanogen's please let me know...but so far its been OK...except a orange light on top and sometimes its slow(2-3 seconds) to show me the unlock screen when i press the red key at bottom while the phone is sleeping )
So now i want to get rid of WinMo6.5 and install Android on my NAND / Flash my NAND with Android.
But since Im a noob , I might screw it up and brick my phone.
Is there a way i could backup some stuff and restore in case I brick my phone and start using WinMO?
Can we reverse the mess and go back to WinMo6.5 safely without any issues?
Please help...any steps and procedures would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
King !
What type of phone are you using? If you're using the hd2 (I'm assuming because that's the most popular dual booting phone, if not then let me know which one it is) check out this thread.

look here you can find many official RUU for desire.
I don't know if it's posible to downgrade oficial ROM
If Desire were mine, I root it first, and after, do what I need. Rooted smartphones are always better to modify.
Like Hanisa said, look there. It would have helped if you knew your exact build version before.
Every Official HTC Desire RUU ROM has it's own build version and baseband (radio) version.
Go to settings>about phone>software then look for your baseband version (Radio version) (it may have not changed - for example: the original radio from my HTC Desire is linked only to my original RUU ROM). Use that information to find your RUU file, like Hanisa said, here (search using find on page)
Your baseband (radio) version should look something like this: 32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11
If you find you original RUU ROM, keep it on your computer. In case of anything you can just install it and you will have your stock ROM again.
Thank you guys for the quick answer,
Before I start to downgrade my Desire from 2.3 to 2.2, I wondering to give a last chance to Gingerbread and tray to root my Desire... So my question is... is it has possible way to root Desire 2.3 (Gingerbread)?
Yes i think so. But if you root your HTC Desire you will want to try different ROMs, there are many HTC Sense ROMs that are cleaner and faster than your stock ROM. Here is a step by step video tutorial on how to root your HTC Desire.
You won't regret rooting your HTC Desire, just make sure to make a Nandroid Backup (like the videos will show you), and also i suggest you make a Rom Manager backup - you can find the app on Android Market - (it's like Nandroid Backup) only you can move the backed-up files to your computer (this is good if something happens to your SD card and you have to format it for example).

Thank you I3xander,
But i Think that video tutorial is not going to work on my Desire, because of this ***This method only works for users with hboot 0.93 and lower. Sorry 1.06 users, but until unrevoked updates, your stuck on stock htc***
My Desire hboot is 1.02.
If you know some other way how to root Desire 2.3 Official rom please tell me.
Again Thank you for the advice.
I am sorry, if I will find more information about rooting your device with hboot 1.02 I will tell you. The only thing you could try, I think, is Revolutionary. It's in developer preview, but it may work, if you have time read and see if it can help you.
And I have no idea if you tried to install an original stock RUU ROM (2.2 Froyo) like Hanisa told you, it may (i am not sure) change your hboot. (Search here using baseband version (Radio version) to find your stock RUU ROM.
If it works you should be able to root your device with no issues.
My baseband is this:32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23 when I tried to downgrade it said - please use correction version (bootloader fail 140) - cant find the correct one .. can anybody help
Thanks Danvad
