Hello, I am new in this forum and I did not get yet the way to install android on my HTC HD2 phone. Does any one know if there is a rom for this phone model (HTC HD2)?
thanks
Not yet..........
The problem that I am aware of is that the HD2 does not have anything like a 'D-pad'. Android needs this to function through its boot recovery menu.

The nexus recovery mode works via volume sidekey...
So does this mean that all that's stopping a ROM from being usable is the control dilemma? i figured we wouldnt even see one until a snapdragon android device was dumped.
I've seen a Hero with WM6.5...........as android on HD2........

? This is no reason to stop android being installed on a device. The android ports from wm devices don't use the recovery menu anyways.
And here is what the op is after.

The HTC Supersonic will be release with Android and it exactlly like the HD2... once it comes out I suspect it will be easier to port

alo! I need rom android for HD2. please...
Helo guys, look for magdlr 1.13 download and flash it through RUU rom utility upgrade (mobile device center has to be connected), after flasing magdlr 1.13 to your phone, then you have to choose if you want to flash it by sd card or from your pc, check HD2androidroms.com. If you chose PC look for a DAF (Dark Forces Team) android rom which you can flash fromby going into usb flasher when phone reboots by holding down the power button, if you chose to flash from recovery, you need to flash revovery 3.0.2.4_120 on top of magdlr to your phone and also accessing it by holding the power button while rebooting. Best was is to do your research by watching youtube videos.

How did you originally convert it to NAND 2.2? It's essentially the same process, the only difference is looking for the ROM.

yes it is now running on nand android 2.2 but i want to try android nand gingerbread but i,m not able to boot in magldr as everytime i tried it boot to the android 2.2
I don't think you understood the question. How did you put NAND Android 2.2 on your phone? Did you do it yourself or did someone else do it for you?
If you did it yourself, it's simple to boot into MAGDLR, turn off your phone and turn it back on but HOLD the power button for a 1-2 minutes straight and after that; it should boot into MAGDLR. If you didn't yourself, you need to find out how the person put the ROM on, through MAGDLR or cLk; both have their own different ways to install ROMs. I perseonally never tried cLk but I'm assuming the community on this forum can help you out with that.

one more question.....which of the android is the later version froyo 2.2 or gingerbread 2.3.2
Gingerbread is the newer one.
Hi I have the same question how to upgrate from froyo to gingerbread on my hd2.
I forgot to mention that I have
MAGDLR v1.13 SPL 2.08.
I just wanna see if gingerbread can better because I have problems with the screen rotation its like using android on Sd card and on NAND should be smoother and faster. HELP!
Same Dilemma
I just got an HD2 from a friend of mine and it has Android 2.2 already on it. I have no idea how any of this works, updating and installed etc. When i turn on the phone it automatically boots Android 2.2 and ive been fine with that. I have no idea how to boot WinMo if that is even possible or how to update. I have been going through all the posts here and cant seem to find any sort of newbie help, or maybe i am not looking in the right places. None the less any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyways, too unstable, its been bearable for about 6 months, but new problems keep popping up. I beg someone to just help me bring my phone back to its stable self.

Just hit to HTC.com, Smartphones, look for HTC HD2, Download a Stock Rom ( RUU ) and Flash it just like you Flashed the Android,( Get into the BootLoader, Power Down + Down Volume Rocker ) ... you'll be back to WinMo in no time.

Hello, guys.
Well, I love android and all, but I have had problems. Overheating problems for the most part, followed by freezes. I love my HTC HD2 too much for letting the problems occure or continue experimenting, since I'm new to the flashing-scene and
stuff.
I'm really looking into getting it back to stock. Can anyone please help? Obviously, I will need the HSPL to be original and everyting.
I have made 2 different ext. partitions I think on the SD card.
Can anyone please help? Any detailed help is HIGHLY appreciated.
BTW: My phone is LEO 512 MB, EUROPE VERSION, not T-mobile! Thanks!!
BUMP!!
Anyone? I'm really in need for this. I would like appreciate some help on this one, guys!
hey there,
to flash your hd2 back to stock windows 6.5 you need the original rom from the htc website. go in the UK version of the website, go to the bottom and select region as United Kingdom. Then click the help button. then select the hd2. go into new and downloads. download the rom upgrade for HD2. make sure you download the normal one, i mean NOT the one for o2 or T-Mobile or stuff like that. once you download the file, power down your fone. then turn it on with the volume down buttone and power button firmly pressed. dont let go until you see a red, green, blue and white screen. this is the bootloader. connect your hd2 to your computer via the usb cable. the "serial" word will change to "usb". all you need to do now is run the rom upgrade you downloaded earlier. run the file. folow the on-screen instructions and VOILA. u r back to stock hd2 with windows 6.5 Let me know how it goes and give me a thanks if u found this useful.
Post this in the dedicated HD2 forum, and you are bound to get more help.

Hey there. That setup or instruction was my first try. I thought this would not be any problem, but no, it ****ed up the whole phone and software. It was unable to boot or anything after that.
Gladly I renamed ruu.signed to img.signed or something and put it to root on SDcard, and it worked. First time it ****ed up, all though second try it worked (thank god, lol). Now I sent it back for repair, and I think they changed motherboard. Will get it back within a week. But thanks for your help anyways!
OH! well it always runned just fine for me. Anyways atleast youll get your fone repaired.

Hey again!
Yeah, I think it runs just fine for someone, but sometimes it could get a bit messy.
At least I know I was unlucky when I tried. I sent the phone for repair, and they changed the motherboard!
It runs quite smoothly now. Stabile when it starts heating and everything.
Not sure if I will sell it and buy one X or just give it android and run with it for some months/year
Thanks for trying to help anyways.
Hey,
thanx again for the thought. if u have the bugdet definatly go for the one x. . but a word of advice, dont use custom roms on that fone until u absolutely get tired of the default rom. Just a thought to stay safe.. Hope u get it.

after the phone has had about 10 minutes use the bottom of the screen seems to not work
usually i cant unlock the screen to answer calls, or if it unlocks when i press the phone symbol it changes to green but doesnt open the
application, and i had read some where that this can be caused by the operating system
hence i fancied returning the phone to standard to see
cheers
in Android Development forums, one of the first posts is an INDEX. in it you can find 2 solutions:
Stock pre-rooted rom: i recommend installing this, since it is very easy to do, and it will most likely solve all your problems, without removing root access.
Downgrade guide: you can downgrade your phone to get a factory reset, but it is kind of tricky, and you can mess up easily. Still, if the first option doesn't work, take some time to read and go for it.
I did something really dumb even though I was advised not to. I managed to get the Windows Phone 10 Technical Preview on my HTC One M8 for Windows. The OS version that got pushed to it simply is not compatible with this hardware and so many things don't work. I want to go back but the Microsoft-provided recovery tool doesn't detect the phone because it was never intended to work with this model. In short, my question is does anyone have a way to just flash an HTC One M8 for Windows back to the factory T-Mobile ROM that it came with out of the box? If so, where do I get it and how can I flash to it? HTC has no recovery tool to speak of for this phone, Microsoft was just as much help, and TMo wants me to pay an insurance deductible before they will replace the thing. I will be ever so grateful if someone can help out.
Thanks!

Generally I think you are out of luck until they launch the Windows 10TP for HTC M8's. When that happens, you should be able to use the Windows Phone Recovery Tool to re-flash your phone. It looks like it's basically a re-skinned version of the Lumia Software Recovery tool, and it only makes sense for them to release this as well if they are going to be providing a way to recover and flash non-Lumia branded phones in the future.
There is a way to re-flash the HTC One M8 for Windows if you have the ROM, but so far only the Verizon version has leaked. I hope this is not your only phone, because if you wait a month or so you should be able to re-flash using the Microsoft tool
You have absolutely no right to be mad at Microsoft, HTC and/or T-Mobile for the problems. They are completely justified making you pay the deductible to get this fixed, why should they eat the cost of fixing it?
Don't get me wrong, I don't blame anyone but myself for this. I'm simply surprised that there isn't a recovery option out there in general. Someone could have a problem that isn't their fault at all that could benefit from having this. That being said, I have an open ticket with the HTC dev team. All I really want is access to a ROM that must clearly already exist. The software got on the phone in the first place, right? Of course I am not a dev and probably have no idea what I'm talking about. I apologize if I'm coming off as an ass looking for a hand out. It just seems to me that this is a simple issue with a simple fix. I know from when I had a Lumia device that I could open up the navifirm+ software and download any ROM for any windows phone from any region of the world.

Fair enough. Its a bit weird that only Nokia put out any kind of program to re-flash phones, but I have a feeling that the app Microsoft has put out will, going forward, be used to reflash any Windows Phone that is having problems. They kind of need to provide that functionality if they are going to take control of the update process from the carriers (which i know they want to do, whether they actually pull it off remains to be seen).
I'd say just hang in there, you will likely be able to re-flash in a month or so. I hope you can somehow get access to the rom, but there isn't program released to flash it on the phone (though there are ways, look at the Verizon RUU thread. There is also a Youtube video out there showing how to do it)
i was the first with htc w8 (tmous) to hack the w10 beta on it if you check my twitter.
the only reason why i even considered to do this is because i have a way out.
that can't be said for public. so why the hell you didn't check if you have
a way to go back to stock before even considering such a highly
experimental thing to your precious device?
sure you can't expect any support from ms or tmous for that scenario.
i flashed back to w81 the next day already because of htc related bugs.
i will restore it for you if you send it to me and pay 2-way shipping.
this is a one time personal offer from me that i will do for you.

You might be out of luck for now at the moment. I'm sure the TMo ROMS aren't available, otherwise you would be able to. Remember that the trick to update to Windows 10 Preview was AT YOUR OWN RISK due the fact that the phone isn't OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED

Is it possible to flash the stock rom on a verizon phone?
sure. by stock rom i mean the original rom meant for the device/carrier.
on verizon w8 -> verizon rom
on at&t w8 -> at&t rom
on tmous w8 -> tmous rom
don't try to flash different carrier rom. it won't work.
all 3 carrier variants have different modelID which is checked before allowing flash.

download the htc RUU that i attached to this post and extract with winrar.
place the htc w8 verizon nbh in the extracted RUU folder with filename "RUU_Signed.nbh".
then go into bootloader (power off, then hold vol-&vol+ while pressing power until it vibrates).
it will show white bootloader screen with hardware info.
when the pc installed the drivers for bootloader mode it switches from "serial" to "usb" on the bottom.
then doubleclick the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and it will flash the phone.
everything will be wiped of course.
