Amazon Cloud Drive 5GB FREE STORAGE! - HTC Inspire 4G

I'm sure many of you experts are already up on this...but Amazon launched their cloud music service and are giving away 5GB of free storage! It works with Android phones!
Another post I found has this additional information:
To get 20GB of storage 69 cents for the first month...all you have to do is:
1. Purchase an MP3 album from the Amazon MP3 Store by 11:59 PM PST on December 31, 2011.
2. If you qualify for this offer and either have not signed up for Amazon Cloud Drive or have the 5GB Amazon Cloud Drive plan, you will be automatically eligible for the 20 GB plan for one year from the date of your MP3 album purchase. Unless you set your account to auto-renew to a paid plan, the 20 GB plan will revert to a free plan one year from the date of your MP3 album purchase.
3. If your Amazon Cloud Drive account is already at 20 GB or higher when you qualify for this offer, the offer will be saved to your account as a $20 credit toward any future Amazon Cloud Drive plan fees you may incur at the time your plan renews or at the time you upgrade your plan. If you elect to downgrade your plan to a free plan at the time of renewal, your upgrade offer will be applied towards the 20 GB plan at that time.
4. There is a 69 cent album HERE that would qualify (NOTE: you MUST click "Buy MP3 ALBUM" at the TOP RIGHT, NOT "Buy MP3" in the middle of the page.)
MORE INFO HERE.

Very interested in this, but at this point Audiogalaxy is fine for me (I almost always leave my computer on, and Audiogalaxy turns your computer into a streaming server for your music).
It's unfortunate that I'm on AT&T where I feel like I'm literally paying money every time I listen to streaming music (no unlimited data for me), or my Inspire would have already permantly replaced my ipod.

i just signed up

buy this 69 cent "album" and get upgraded to 20 g storage for a year free.

I'm using Subsonic, which is awesome. I still got the Amazon cloud as a backup, and what the hell, it's free. (Actually free for 5Gb. I bought the 69 cent Glee song.) I saw it yesterday on Slickdeals dot net. Great deal!

I found this out by accident, but you can actually get the 20GB for free. I did the one-click purchase using an expired credit card and then purchased the free song of the day. The first transaction didn't go through, but bumped me to 20GB. The second added the Amazon free MP3 and I had full access to all the space.

Probably for the past 24 hours, havent been able to 'bill to sprint account'. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix or workaround while still being able to use the bill to account option?
Edit: I should note that the option is available but always fails.

Maybe they are fixing the system so people can't use bill to carrier as a method to get the app for free by abusing the system. Give it a couple days.

theres a set limit per billing cycle that can be billed to the account through android market.
doesnt apply to sprints digi store for tones or whatever, if anyone actually still buys that stuff.
Edit: Link to source of info
When you purchase an Android application from the Android Market, you can choose to have the cost appear on your monthly Sprint bill instead of paying by credit card at the time of purchase.
There is a $50 limit on the total amount of transactions made to your Sprint bill per billing cycle. This $50 limit does account for refunds processed from the Andriod Market - Any refunds processed will be deducted from the total bill.

How I got a discount on the gs3 from Verizon

I didn't want to lose unlimited data because my kids are old enough to use tablets now and I wanted to have a hotspot in the car. Sprint does not work in my area. I called Verizon and told the rep I wanted 50 off the gs3 32gb.
Then I said I can walk into a store start a new line for 250 and then cancel the line the same day, pay 350 termination fee and be out 600 instead of 650. So please save me the trouble and just give me the 50 off.
I tried 4 times till I got it.
They don't have the ability to discount the phone but they can do a one time credit of 89.99 to your line. So after taxes and the 89.99 discount I paid 600 for the gs3 32 gb for vzw.

I didn't want to lose my unlimited data that I had for my original Dinc either so I added a line to our family plan and got the SGS3 (16gb) at Best Buy for $150 after they price matched wal mart. Then I swapped the SGS3 for an old basic phone (thus removing the data package) and then swapped the new SGS3 for my old Dinc and Voila, new SGS3 for $150 with unlimited data and my brother will just take over the new $10/month line when he moves back home in a couple months. Worked like a charm!!
I did't want to lose my unlimited data either. I was ready to upgrade from my Incredible, but was irritated about the $30 upgrade fee. I called to get the fee waived, but was told that couldn't be done. Instead, I was given a free month of service, which for me is $89.99, plus my $50 ne2 discount. I got a 32 GB for less than $250.00. It's still a lot of money and I had to pay the ridiculous upgrade fee, but I am thrilled to have the SGSIII on an unlimited data plan!
Yeah. Usually when you call and complain they give you credit. However, if you work for a company that gets Verizon discounts you can usually just use your work email and get the activation fees waived

**Edit** Calling is the only way to get fees waived outside of the stores. They usually have to submit the waiver for approval and then authorize it later.

I tried to do that originally but the $10 a mo plans dont exist anymore, no for a non smartphone to share a plan (for my wife who is new to verizon) its $30 a month, the math didnt work

As an employee, here's some tips on getting the best experience from AT&T

I probably won't be around much after the next few days (I get my phone tomorrow) until the note 3 boards open up, so feel free as well to ask any questions if I haven't mentioned something. Also, I got back to work today after having tomorrow off and the phone will go on sale in stores Saturday. In our training video they had a massive back to the future type reference in which someone came back in a phone booth talking about how futuristic the phone is. At least at&t is trying to make it entertaining
1) I realize in the past that some of you have probably called to waive upgrade/ activation fees and it may have worked. Unless it's a property of your discount with at&t, the chances of you having it waived are less than 1%. I would recommend trying to get credit back some other way, like complaining about service issues at the house or something. You may not get the full 36 back, but something is typically better than nothing. At&t has blocked this capability for all of us a few months ago.
2) CHECK TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A DISCOUNT. Depending on where you work or go to school, you get discounts. Sometimes these discounts get added benefits, like an extra 150$ back if you sign up for U-verse or waived upgrade/ activation fees. These discounts are applied in two ways. One, on a family talk/ individual plan the discount is applied to what the first line has to pay for minutes plus anyone on a five gig plan. For example, family talk plan with 700 minutes (60 dollars) plus one person on a five gig plan (50 dollars) with a 10% discount would save 11$ a month. On mobile share plans it goes off any number from the top row from the brochure. like a 10% discount on a 10 gig plan (120$) would save you 12 bucks a month. These discounts can be applied one of two ways and have to be done in store. One, through email. Which is faster and instant. If you're lucky, try a retail store to see if they'll email someone other than the account holder if they have a discount. The second is through fax if you don't have an email specific to your job. This method can only apply a discount to whatever it says on your paycheck. So, if you work at a franchise like Dunkin' Donuts or something, check to see if it actually says Dunkin' Donuts or if it says the name of the franchise. This method can take up to two billing cycles to go on your bill and requires a paystub and your I.D. These discounts also typically come with accessory discounts as well for in store.
3) If everyone on your plan has a smartphone and doesn't have unlimited data, Mobile Share plans are more cost efficient than family talk plans and give you truly unlimited talk and text within the U.S.. Call up customer service and see how much data you guys use on average and move to a mobile share from there. Example: Two lines on a family talk vs. mobile share. Family talk: (700 minutes 60$ + 1 10$ + unlimited text 30$ + 2 3 gig plans 60$ = 160). Mobile share (6 gigs 90$ + 2 lines 70$ = 160). Same price, but lets look at the difference. Mobile share has truly unlimited talk and text AND includes tethering. Also, if you have a discount it will apply to the 90$ for the 6 gigs vs. the 60$ for the 700 minutes under the family talk. You start to save money vs. family talk once you hit 3 lines and above.
4) If ever adding a new line/ or just changing around your plan, don't be afraid to start out high. We have a trial policy with plans. If you start out high, like a 10 gig mobile share, and the first/ second bill with that plan shows you haven't even exceeded 6 gigs, we'll move you down and credit the difference.
5) Try to upgrade at corporate stores. Retail stores have a different commission structure in which they can mess around with your plan to change the primary line resulting in prorated charges. This is called base hopping. If you do upgrade at a retail store, you can haggle with the price of accessories to an extent compared to corporate stores with upgrades/ new activations. Just let them know that there will be repercussions if they mess with your plan when you want to keep it the same.
6) There are notes added every time you call customer service. Let us call for you if you have a chance. Otherwise, I recommend calling only twice. The first time be extremely polite and nicely talk about your frustrations. If that doesn't work, the next time be aggressive. If both don't work, you're pretty much SOL.
Any questions? I uploaded pictures of the brochures to help you with plan searching.
Couldn't have explained it better myself. Now if only all the customers that come in Saturday will read this before coming in.

My wife initially ordered the phones herself and not on the premier site. I can just apply the coupon later at https://www.wireless.att.com/business/enrollment/index.jsp correct? I tried to use our phone numbers(switching our numbers over) which did not work. Also tried the temporary numbers which did not work as well. I am guessing I cannot apply for the discounts until I activate the phones/phone numbers?

AttBrandon,
I have a fan accnt, 4 lines, three of which are smart phone lines, Currently pay 30$ a line for data on each of the smartphones, have unlimited texting and mobile to any mobile calling. for all lines. Bill comes out to roughly 210/month.
Will the mobile share plan save me money?
btw my 4th line is not used but still in contract.
Thanks!
I really want the 32GB version; but the lack of a release date has me thinking that it might be a few months before we see it in stores. So my question is: If I purchase the 16GB version and the 32GB is released in the next 30 days, can I return it to get the 32GB version and simply pay the extra $50?

Depends on your FAN discount and data usage. It also sounds like you don't have any insurance for any of the lines. Be careful with that.
I'd really only recommend it if you were to get a fourth smartphone. 10 gig mobile is 120 + 120 = 240. Subtract 18 (for arguments sake, average fan discount is 15 percent) = 222 before tax. 6 gig would be 211.5 in this scenario.
It's the same price whether you have that fourth line as a basic or smart phone. Or it's a viable option if one of your lines is starving for data and it gives all the smartphones tethering.

50$ + 35$ restocking fee. If you're really nice about it maybe they'll waive the restocking fee. Just be 100% sure it's not a 14 day return policy instead of a 30. This can be store dependent.

28% I think?
I want to thank you for taking the time to offer this - I have been wondering what to do with my Wife's phone (She is still on Sprint) - she doesn't use much data - doesn't get the benefit of either 4g or LTE anyway (Sprint doesn't have LTE in Milwaukee) and I sometimes find myself going over the 3gb limit on my plan. After reading your comments and checking out the plans you posted - I think it would be cheaper for me to buy a 6gb shared plan for our two phones - I would pay less collectively than I am paying now for the ATT and Sprint plans I am paying for - and I would double the available data I can use - as she really doesn't use any.
Thanks a lot - I appreciate the tips...

Math then silly. A mobile share 10 gig would cost you 206.4 before tax. I thinks that's worth it for the tethering.
I don't like the idea of sharing data....then you gotta worry about how much other people are using...like what if your brother decides to do something stupid and uses up 6gigs...leaving only 4gigs for everyone else (3 other people)...I'd rather pay the extra and not have to worry about others eating up my precious data...idk just seems like a data overage waiting to happen

OP, maybe you can help me make a decision. Here is what I have currently
26% Discount
5 Lines on the FamilyTalk Nation 700 with Rollover
Rollover for me is like having unlimited talk anyway. Whenever we go over 700 it kicks in and is enough to cover things.
2 - Smartphone lines with 2gb data plan (not even coming close to full utilization - always have wifi around)
2 - Smartphones lines with 200mb plan
1 - Regular phone
Total I am paying with taxes in NYC is about $215.
Is is worth going over to a shared use plan? I would like to add additional lines in the future and can't do that with my current plan.
AT&T says, "the more you use, the more you save." What crap!!! They have the network capacity to offer truly unlimited data. That's what they need to do. What's the point of having a brand new shiny new LTE device when you only can use it so much???
Families would rather have unlimited data instead of sharing. I will add, if they brought back unlimited to raise the price, say $40 or $50.

At&t promotion ends at 11/30/2014

I just change my share plan from 10GB to 15 GB free of charge. At&t giving now 15GB share plans for price of 10GB.. If you have 10GB share data on your plan just go to your At&t account on line or store and change. https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/data-plans.html#fbid=hxWk-OMpj5Q
Just FYI promotions ends at 11/30/2014, also i can't believed that so many people look at this thread and nobody even say thank you. I did not save money for anyone???

Thanks norbarb! Just upgraded last night.

New Verizon Data Deals = +2GB free per line PERMANENTLY AND +2GB (for 3 months) using

New Verizon Data Deals = +2GB free per line PERMANENTLY AND +2GB (for 3 months) using Go90 App!
I have 4 cell phones on my plan and just added a Jetpack (Verizon WiFi Hotspot device - which has its own phone number). My total bill went up only $17, however - but here's the kicker: I had an 18GB data plan and when I got the Jetpack I was told I would permanently get an additional 2GB. The extra 2GB never showed up so I called Verizon to get it added. Instead they added 10GB! It turns out whenever you upgrade a phone or add a line, they can add a PERMANENT 2GB "promotional data" for each line you have. Also, if you search "Go90" in the play store and install the first one (that says "Ad"), then log in and set up an account, they will give you another 2GB (but only for 3 months). There are notifications with the app but you can just go into the app manager and turn those off. The additional permanent 2GB per line is actually a new promotion that started on Dec 3rd...
---Comments added later:
I have to add, was also upgrading one of my daughters phones from an iPhone 5 to iPhone 6s, and it didn't actually cost me anything because I added the Jetpack (there was some kind of promotion - so I am just paying $17 more for the jetpack). That is what started all this. Maybe they added the 10gb because I'd been a customer for 15 years and have so many lines. I also should say I had my land line and Fios Bill combined originally with the wireless Bill for another discount ($20/mo. - which would have expired in May anyway) which I had to be willing to split apart again into separate bills in order to get the discount.
Another valid point - before I even did all this, I had spent over an hour on the phone with Verizon to figure out what can be done to reduce my total monthly bill. That resulted in reducing my bill by $50 each month and getting a newer (faster) router. These people make their money by locking you into a plan and then slowly raise their prices - so doing that at least once per year will result in you getting better service at lower cost.
You can actually just uninstall the app immediately after signing up and still keep the 2gb. Also it's not per line, its just 2gb added to whatever monthly pool you already have. Keep in mind that for those of you who are off contract and getting a $25 line discount, this will bind you back into contract for those 3 months and you will lose the discount for that period of time (effectively paying $75 for a lousy 2gb a month). Verizon has gotten real bad with it's scams. Fortunately they are at least willing to play dumb and correct it when caught, but for the most part just bank on the ones who never figure it out. For example you guys signing up for 2 year contracts or device payment plans actually end up paying twice the price of the phone (if not more) in the long run. But they make it look appealing making you think you are only paying $200 on contract or $25 a month for device payment. You don't take into account that you are paying an extra $25 a month just to stay in that contract. So even if they gave you an absolutely "free" phone, in 2 years you would have paid $600 for it. A note 5 for someone on the device payment plan is going to cost them $1,200 in the long run.

Maybe I just lucked out getting nice folks on the phone - they added 10gb, not 2.
Dang, that's a good deal. I still have the thankgetting deal 1gb and the promotional 2gb for go90 till next year March, 2016. That's good enough for me. I only have 1 line, and I don't feel like being a sales person for Verizon and asking my friends to signup so I can get 2gb, it's just not worth the hassle. I understand it's extra 2gb for life, but for me, I'm good with 21gb for now

Got 2GB added for 6 months instantly when I did this!
Thanks Guys
I just got an email from Verizon, which explains the additional 8gb of data - they only give you 2GB of data for every line you already have - when you upgrade 1 phone - only if you already are on the "extra large" data plan. I was thinking of going back and asking them to put me on a smaller plan because I got all this extra data - and just realized they put that rule into place to stop people like me from doing that! Jeez.
