It's looking really solid. Great job.
One request though, could you please add QVGA resolution support?
LAP and RESET buttons are cut off on my 320x240 screen.

Works & looks great on my Nexus One. Just a suggestion: is it possible to put it on the SD card?.

No complaints in here. Qvga supoport is working great. Thank you

Awesome app, gotta have a timer for the steaks on the grill, really love this one. Congrats!

Very nice App, in Look and functionality!
One suggestion: What about an extra button to switch fast to the timer

Great app. Very solid, incredibly beautiful and very usable. I love it.
I think it would be also very nice to have several lap time indicators simultaneously instead of one, but it's only a minor visual suggestion .

Awesome looking app, man! Definitely replacing my current stopwatch/timer app with this. Thank you!

Works and looks great! I'm using it on a DX with leaked Ginger Bread.
Suggestions:
1) haptic feedback option
2) notification selection option
3) while setting the time for the Timer, not having the Timer start as soon as we press Set
Good job on your first app.

Beautiful looking for sure. Some suggestions :
- When editing the timer, we have to put a number to validate it. It is ok but it would be nice if not entering anything (after setting a wrong value) would automatically set it to "0". For the moment, if you erase the wrong value, it restores it when moving to another value. Erasing should be considered as 0.
- An option to decide when to stop the alarm of the timer. Ringing only 3 times is not enough. We should be able to set an option such as "stop ringing on press".
- Custom ringtones or more of them.
- More themes (or simply the same with others colors).
Fantastic job however...

Nice application. I really like the way the 'laps' page shows the times. I coach Track and Field and that is a great feature.
Something to consider in the future: enabling hardware buttons (volume up/down, camera) to act as start/stop, lap, etc.
Keep up the good work!

Coolest stopwatch/timer I've seen yet, good job dev

Awesome looking app. Thanks a lot mate.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App

So many Android apps look terrible compared to stuff you find on iOS, but this app proves it doesn't have to be that way. Awesome job, dev!

WOW
really great job, and thanx for sharing with us
some suggestion:
- can you add ringtone? maybe in combination with settings to chose one (ore have a default-ring)
- timer not starting on "set", preferably starting on button "start"
- mabe an other alternative to set time faster? scrolling wheels or anything like this
and again: gooood job dude

[UTIL][Version 1.1 Beta]TouchWatch (Touch designed timer application)[ONLINE]

Hi,
I want to contribute my first application written in VS2005 VB.NET Compact Framework.
.NET Compact Framework must be installed on your device. Application needs around 700kb of memory.
This is a simple timer application with four configurable countdown timers. Set an description and a time (hh:mm:ss) and stop/start/reset timer with your fingers only. No need to use the stylus pen.
Touch the timer ones will start it. Touch it twice will stop it. Tap&Hold the timer will reset it. Needs no more explanation. The app is self explaining.
You can change the background image
You can change the audio wave notification file
You will get an vibrating response from your device on start/stop/reset timer
If a timer is running your device will not enter standby/sleep until all running timers count zero (configurable). If you want to use a long timer be aware of battery usage. Be sure that your backlight switches off after some time. If your device switch off for any reason, you will not be notified that a timer count zero. The application isn't able to switch your device on.
Settings are stored in registry "HKLM\Software\M_G\TouchWatch" and all configurable from the application.
THIS IS A BETA RELEASE FOR TESTING...QVGA ONLY...NO LANDSCAPE MODE...
Installation: Just copy the .cab to your device and execute it. You will find an icon in the start menu.
Version history:
v1.1b: -edit timer window now opens with buttons instead with the menu.
-added vibrate response features
v1.0b: first release (beta)
TODO:
Add stopwatch functionality
Use gestures to reset and edit timer
D-Pad support (maybe)
Landscape support (maybe)
Source code
You will find the source code of the project as attachment. You are allowed to enhance this or use this as example or whatever.
Support me with a donation for future developments
Thank you!
New version is released!
Check out the version 2 of Touchwatch here:

Have fun.
GREAT
nice to hear that its ur 1st application.....any ways i will test it and let u know further....thanks in advance
hello,
nice app! can i make a suggestion ?
it would be great if you could add d-pad control! since then we could use this app on non-touchscreen devices (smartphones) also.
thank you in advance!
Hi lopez1_de
Very nice program, been looking for something like this, but havn't found anything quite as nice as this.
Keep up the good work
Flemming
That is exactly what I was looking for for workouts in the gym.
Good work, lopez1_de!!!
Suggestions:
- Typo in options menu: should be "off", not "of"
- Some feedback when you start a timer would be nice, so you don't have to watch the seconds in order to see if it's running. Maybe a short vibrate or the timer's panel flashing.
- Maybe a left-right sweep across a timre's panel yould open that timer's configuration screen?
Thanks for that program.
Cheers,
nc
Good application, but I wish to have it without new .NET! .NET is slow and use my memory very much!
thanks
Thank you all for suggestions and ideas. Nice to hear that you like it. I will try to implement the following things into the next version:
Feedback on start/stop/reset
Config button for each timer
bye
EDIT: In the moment I have no ideas how to implement d-pad control.
Please test the new version 1.1b of TouchWatch.
Have a nice day... (it's sunny in germany)

Yes, I know about it. But I'm only a hobby programmer. I'm not able to write C code.
But the speed of the timer on my Elf is perfect. The only little problem is that the application uses ~840kb of memory while running.
V1.1 is near perfection in my mind. Wonderful little app.
I've been searching for these exact features for a while now.
Thanks a lot!

Hi, I tried your app, thanks very much: very usefull!!!!
Excellent work.
This is now the prgogram i use when I time the breaks in between sets when i work out.
On my screen everything except the timers' digits and the icon for the timers' configs is black.
I'm pretty sure it's due to my extensive Wm6 customization, though, so it's not a bug. I guess your program uses wm5/6s BaseHue color derivation to paint itself?
Would you mind sharing your source code? Maybe I can help cut down on memory usage?
I have no experience programming C#, though, but I have done quite a lot of Java, and I recently got hold of Visual Studio 2005 Pro to start mobile development.
Ignore the transparent top bar, that is also due to my customization.
Cheers,
nc

Hi.
PDA customizing. A never ending story...
To paint the graphics I had to override the OnPaint event. The lines and timer text are drawn correct. The bitmap should be visible also. Maybe you have selected an incorrect path to the file or maybe you selected another image format than .BMP.
The code is very basic. No big problem to code something like this for a hobby programmer. I use a variable which holds the seconds...then there is a timer control which ticks every second and increment the variable. Then convert the seconds to a time string and display it on the screen. Now capture OnClick events and get the X,Y coords of the stylus to check where the user clicked at. Then I used OpenNetCF for the vibrate features. Thats it.
Nice program, would be even nicer if you could ad a stopwatch functionality also. So not just a countdown but also a count-up?
Keep up the good work!
Great app. Great for boiling eggs and what not..

Initial impression is that its very confussing and difficult to use... it took me a while to work out what I was looking at. Don't get the widget folder as it negates what a widget is. I do like the potential concept, but this really needs a lot more thought into user experience.
To start with look at changing the folder controls to make them easier to select.
This is a very original approach and I'll going to watch this one with interest...

Often only shows black screen on HTC legend.
The dock icons are too big and there is hardly any customization possible.
But it is a really interesting idea and different from other launcher. I'll stay tuned.

Unless I'm missing something the only place to add widgets is in the folder at the top of the screen. This limited the use of widgets... for example if I add a 2x2 clock thats all I can see and use unless I expand the folder. This is compounded by the difficulty in using the folder controls. Widgets are supposed to provide quick and easy access and viewing of apps and info you use most, currently this is lost in Claystone... If you could make widget use a little more traditional it would go a long way...
Like I said previously though the whole user experience would be vastly improved if you added larger controls to the folders making it quick and easy to expand/close etc.
Like ms_green says the dock is a little large and it makes the screen feel a little cramped.
A very short review, sorry for being blunt:
* On my Droid Incredible: great, now applications are even smaller/hard to read. UI is not very responsive. Toolbar buttons are too small but making them any bigger would mean even less real estate.
* Tablet: Ooooh now you're talking! The layout makes much more sense, especially in landscape mode. This is actually getting closer to WebOs' take on multitasked UI.
I think this app has a great future on tablets.
Ima dl right now

This is great!!! VERY GOOD!!! the concept is amazing
things u might want to improve:
The loading speed of panels are slow. Even opening the appdrawer takes no less than 3 seconds, not to mention browser etc
When u scroll vertically but a bit sideways on a panel it just pops u into another panel, very excruciating
Panels. seriously, all u can have is a home panel and a widget panel? i want to make my own (not just folders) for example media, games etc
"items" u can add. to be honest all there is is file explorer, browser and youtube (not to mention the youtube one really sucks). U need more of these "items", but i understand this is a beta
lol no offense
I could see this possibly having potential on a bigger screen, like a tablet maybe. But as it stands things feel too cramped on my 3.7 inch screen. Also things are a bit slow atm.
It's an interesting concept, but implemented in a moderately confusing fashion. The widget box resizes widgets oddly, making things look bulky, etc.
Great idea, though.
Opening the inbuilt contacts force closes the app for me.
But apart from that, a brilliant concept! I can't wait for new additions! Great job

You can create more panels ("folders") as well, you can copy and paste any item in any panel. In our next drop we are going to make it simple by adding applications to the "create" menu.

[APP] Goldfish Memory

Hi everybody,
I would like to present you my new app. If like me you forgot everything, I'm sure you will enjoyed it
It's called Goldfish Memory, so the goal is quite obvious It's a todo list, but a todo list mostly based on the location. I've noticed that when I've something to do, I know where to do it (at home, work, when leaving the subway, etc.) most than when to do it.
So with Goldfish Memory, when you create a new task you can set it a place and when you arrive at this place, you will receive an alert that you have something to do, whatever the time. Next, you can ask to be alerted again in 5 minutes or the next time you will come back to this place. It's quite simple and you can set any address you want.
As it's a todo list you can also simply define a date and hour at when you want to be alerted. If you combine both date and location, you will only be alerted when you arrived at the defined location, the day you've setted or, at the latest, at the hour defined.
It's a nice and simple app and I've just finished it so I would be happy if people try it and more if people like it ! Don't hesitate to give feedback (goods or bads) !
The app doesn't use GPS (too slow, not battery-friendly), only network location. The algorithm adapt itself to the current accuracy (which vary a lot) in order to find when to trigger a task. So don't worry, it will not drain your battery and it will work even inside buildings or underground.
The next fonctionnalities I've planned to implement are :
- synchronisation with some online todo list services (Google Tasks, RTM, etc...)
- add action buttons directly in the notification on Jelly Bean
- the possibility to repeat a task every days/weeks/months
- improve the algorithm for triggering a location-based task using the speed
- and more !
If you have other ideas, I would be glad to hear them.
It's free and on the Play Store so, if you are interested, you can try it now : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fourmob.geotasks
Great idea and app...but lets face it. GPS lock is slow on most devices and it kinda stops the whole purpose of this app. Now apart from that its a whole lot better then the paid apps that just give normal to do lists. Good job

Hi, thanks for your comment.
You're totally right, that's why I don't use GPS, only network location : always available and battery friendly. Accuracy isn't always great but I've made a small algorithm that adapts itself to the current accuracy. I tweak it regulary to improve it, it's also why I'm looking for feedback. I'm quite happy of it for now.

Great job, great idea, great design. :good:
Like gmaster1 said, its better than all paid apps I tried. Moreover, its free and without ads (very enjoyable).
Sometimes, Goldfish alerts me too far from the location I set. Not too bad because I snooze for 5 minutes later but it could be better! It would be interesting to accurate the position with real GPS fix. You can do this occasionally, randomly (with a heuristic) or thanks to an algorithm. What do you think about that ?

Due to the network location provider used by the app, accuracy can vary a lot (from 200/500m to 1500m) so, with my algorithm, the trigger radius varies with the accuracy. I prefer that the app alerts you too early that never. If it's too early, you can always snooze it like you said.
But I'm actively working on this part. In a future release, I think the app will sometimes turn on the GPS or Wifi in order to have a better accuracy. I'm still working on when to do that and it will be optional because I know a lot a people don't like that apps turn on/off sensors without asking. So, stay tuned
very good and user friendly design. I like the app and its very helpfull

Thank you very much !
To be user friendly its one of my main goals. I've tried a lot of todo lists and if I've ended up making my own it's also because they tend to have too much options. In the end, they are more organizers than todo list. But me, I only need a todo list. So : Goldfish Memory
I like the orange fonds but try using the Light theme which is a white backround. It may look better than the black. Or give the user the option to switch between several as I dont particularly like blackish backrounds

Ok. Had it for 3 days now and no probs but...the widget. I feel it should be resizeable on ics (like fb widget on ics tablets) im not sure if this is too much to ask but its just that when i only have 1 task the rest of the space take up too much space i could use for other widgets. Maybe a small scrollable widget would be easier to make then resizable. So i can have the big widget when i need it and a small one when i want it. Or maybe widget buttons that keeps the widget small but changes current task the widget shows with 2 buttons. And maybe (just as a widget extra) add +task , delete task and edit task buttons for a better widget ui (the app ui its self is great)

Yes, the widget is definitly something that will evolve in future releases. But, it is already resizable. Do you mean that it should be more resizable horizontally ?
Scrollable widget is already planned. Concerning more actions directly in the widget, I will think on how to integrate that.
I've planned a new release for the end of the week, so I will try to add the widget stuff in the next one.
This is an amazing idea. I love the concept and design of it. I have never really use any task reminder app before, but if i want to use one, that will be this app.

At which point it failed ? Are you using the quick task button or do you use the full form ? It's a strange bug because the only thing I can see now is that the app can't access to the internet (needed to make the translation from the coordinates to an human address). Do you have ICS with a quota for the network data ?

Share / import your edited files (.csv extension files)
Add, select, switch, edit, and remove actions from the list.
Export it to a shell script, runnable from the terminal emulator or via ADB.
Add widgets to run prebuilt lists
FAQ / TIPS:
To edit an action long press it and change the desired values
Bot not stopping?? To avoid weird behaviours, please add at least one Sleep action just after any other action, setting at least the amount of time that the action consumes. (ie. 1 tap (5sec), > 1 Sleep (5sec).
ABM or CSV? ABM file extension is completely deprecated and you shouldn't use it. ABM files are not compatible between app updates so you should stick with CSV files instead.

Excellent idea. Will be awesome with some polishing
Issues on my Verizon Galaxy S3.
1) Sleep timer doesn't seem to wait as many seconds as you enter
2) When using with an app that hides notification bar its a pain to switch focus and stop the script without 20 other apps being opened. Maybe use a floating icon interface like gameguardian or gamecih use? or allow a hot-key to be set for start-stop? Seems like it always ends up crashing while I'm trying to close apps that it opened. If I switch focus to the botmaker then depending on the script you can really mess things up... first effort I hadn't exported, saved, or even written down anywhere and was about 30 lines long... even though i immediately hit pause when i got to botmaker the auto-taps kept going and deleted about 7 lines of my script before it crashed and shutdown
3) A working directory to save and load scripts from would be great to have. The current import/export seems a little awkward
Will download when I get 4.1

Thanks, I will try to fix those with next updates, the most important bug I found is Android killing the process after certain amount of time

Depending on your device and ROM you can do this already. On my galaxy s3 running CleanROM I have an option under Settings->Developer options->Show pointer location. This puts an overlay at the top of screen so you can see the X,Y of each touch.
Great App! Would like to the an option to repeat endless. Atm I have the same sequence over and over.

It repeats endlessly for me.
Just 4.1+ ?
I see definitely great potentials in this app. I will test it ASAP
Great Idea, can you please just add an a record option, It's really hard to know the coordinations i want.
Again, Wonderful Idea
Brilliant idea.
It would be good if you could record gestures for talkback and assign them to widgets / navbar shortcuts.
For example, I`d like to add a widget / icon in the navbar or home screen that would emulate swipe down - then - swipe right as this pauses talkback. My wife has brain damage and is blind and the gestures on Talkback are a right pain in the arse!
I have a Nexus 4 running PA with Franco kernel and I put the said action in, hit play and it kept going over and over. I was unable to pause or stop it. I had to reboot the handset.
That said, this is a marvellous idea. Being able to record complicated multi-point swipes and assign them to a softkey/widget would be fantastic. There could be a security risk (potentially) if the app records silently and stores touches on the pattern unlock.
Good work, OP, good work.
Works great! The was able to take the X Y from my CM10.1 D2VZW and have it drop an item from Ingress! Would like to be able to copy/paste action lines or repeat action etc for repetitive tasks.
Please keep up the good work! I'm very excited about this project.
Very nice app, congratulations :good:
I've recently been doing research on how to inject keyEvents to other applications for the Glass on Android port, and the only way I could find was to create an InputMethod.
Could you please give me some insight as to how you achieved this? Did you have to use the NDK or made use of some hidden API?
been waiting for something like this for so long! thanks so much dev! :good::good::good:
Have been looking for this for so long. Had looked at every inch of Google and couldn't find and there I just bumped into it today. Thanks Dev.

Yes this. I saw this and came here to give the same idea. Making a tasker plug-in with this would be too cool.
Well, actually it is possible but a plugin would be much more comfortable.

[APP][2.1+] Appsi sidebar, a plugin supported sidebar application

September 13th
Today I released Appsi 1.5. This release includes the following new features:
1. A new (100% free and a part of Appsi itself) page in the sidebar with support for
- App widgets in the sidebar
- Home plugins (Appsi specific plugins, more below)
- DashClock extensions
2. Full freedom in placing the hotspots and the amount of them.
3. Fast scrolling support
4. More cutomizations and look & feel options
5. Music player controls (with special thanks to xda member Dr.Alexander_Breen for his excellent guide)
.. And a lot more.
September 4th (beta 1.4.21):
It's been a while and I think it is time to give you all a little update on what's going on behind the scenes in beta. I am working on fixing the issues that are left and hope to release the upcoming version as Appsi 1.5 soon.
I have got tons of new cool features coming up. To name a few:
1. A new (100% free and a part of Appsi itself) page in the sidebar with support for
- App widgets in the sidebar
- Home plugins (Appsi specific plugins, more below)
- DashClock extensions
2. Full freedom in placing the hotspots and the amount of them.
3. Fast scrolling support
4. More cutomizations and look & feel options
5. Music player controls (with special thanks to xda member Dr.Alexander_Breen for his excellent guide)
.. And a lot more.
The Home Plugins are small extensions to the home tab/plugin. The are small plugins you can add to the home tab in Appsi. They can be used to show things like, missed calls count, launching certain intents and a lot more. There is an open source sample project with docs on Github. And there's some instructions right here.
If you are looking for screenshots, take a look in the G+ beta community.
July 30th: Version 1.4 released
Last weekend I updated Appsi to version 1.4
New features:
1. Customize the size of the text and icons
2. Change the spacing between the items
3. Global search
4. New icon
July 15th: Version 1.3.3 in beta.
Very small amount of changes for this beta. Moving to production on 18th if no issues arise.
1. Option to minimize the notification. (no icon and smallest possible notification, no extra actions etc)
2. Bug fix for android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 devices, causing crashed with hardware acceleration enabled.
3. Fix issue with long texts on items in the sidebar when there is a title and a description. The title will now also have ellipsis.
July 13th: Version 1.3 released.
Today I moved version 1.3 from beta to production. The following changes are probably going to make 1.4:
Improved search: Search through all apps, even if the section is disabled. If you have plugins, search will include all results from all plugins.
Live folder support in Appsi (add a live folder as if it is a plugin)
If you have a suggestion, just let me know.
Also I will add new translations once they have been completed. This is just a matter of time. If you would like to help out, pm me.
July 6th: Version 1.3 beta released.
I just finished uploading the new beta version of Appsi to Google play. This new version contains the following new features:
Proper favorites manager
Contextual action bar to perform actions on long press.
Switch plugins by swiping left or right on the sidebar
Updates to all plugins for the contextual actions
Fixes:
Fixed a bug in the icon caching mechanism
This is a beta release, so for now only accessible for beta testers (wanna be a beta tester? let me know). This version will most likely move to production within one week.
July 1st: version 1.2.4 was released
Although it may not sound like a big update, This version adds support for the following new features:
* transparency in the sidebar
* the ability to choose a background image for the sidebar
* Choice between light and dark theme
* Improved the way to get the data from the plugins.
* Improved user experience, especially for new users.
Special thanks go out to all the people helping with translations and beta testing. Thank you very much!
See https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsimobile.appsi for the Google play listing.
Appsi sidebar is a sidebar application for android. It comes with an embedded App plugin (more about that later) that allows you to see all your apps and add your favorite 5 apps as favorites.
It supports 3 distinct gestures when opening the sidebar, by default they will all open the sidebar normally. The gestures are moving horizontally after touching the hotspot, moving up or moving down. For each of these you can set the action to perform, these actions are:
- open the sidebar (default)
- open favorites swiper
- open recents swiper (needs plugins with recents)
- open plugin swiper (swipe to the plugin you'd like to open and then open the sidebar)
The swiper is the same as what you might know from other apps (like swipepad), it allows you to open something with one single touch, by moving your finger from the sidebar to the item.
The hotpot is either on the left or right side of the screen, it can be positioned manually and can be as big as you want.
Thanks to the wonderful people on this forum Russian translations have been added in the latest version. Also simplified Chinese has been added. I'd like to know what you all think about this app
Appsi is plugin based (and supported). This means it allows you to buy plugins to extend the functionality. This is not needed for normal operation, but it will add more types of things you can add as a sidebar.
You can either add a hotspot for each plugin, or use one hotspot for all plugins. The opened plugin can be changed by tapping the title of the sidebar.
If anyone has suggestions or improvement, either for plugins or Appsi itself, please let me know.

Appsi 1.5 release
Hello everybody,
If there are people out here that would like to test the app and provide feedback that would be great. I am open to suggestions and have a list of upcoming features. One of the features I just released as beta is the ability to change the alpha and to set a background for the sidebar. And the ability to be always up to date with the plugins (no need to load the data when the sidebar opens)
So if you'd like to do beta testing, send me your Google account (e-mail address) and I'll add you to the testers list.
If you do not want to test the beta version but would prefer to test the current version, that will also help very much.
Any feedback will help.
Thank you all!
If I'm right, this sidebar uses a service as "sidebar", doesn't it?
All other apps I've seen start up an activity if you touch the gesture area. If you press the home button and try to launch an activity from the gesture area, it has a 5 second delay.
So that's a really good thing.
Overall UI looks pretty good, which makes the users first thoughts about the app very positive.
ActionBar in the sidebar is awesome and usefull.
Logo isn't the best I've seen, you could improve that.
This is my opinion 4 seconds after installation.
Edit: search bar is very usefull
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.2 JB
I will try it ASAP and report.
I tried a lot already.... almost all to be honest, and i stick right now to a cryptic one but which really work well. Can be used for inspiration, so here it is (and i am not advertsing, ok. It is just for reference as this one is relly unknown) : overlay launcher.
Gonna install your app and report from my of course subjective point of view.
Cheers
Really like it thus far! Would it be possible to make it easier to switch between plug ins, I.e, when the sidebar is open instead of going to the top to switch plug ins, maybe you can swipe left and right within in the sidebar to switch between plug ins. It will make it a lot easier to use instead of going to the top.

It is mandatory to add an option to dismiss notification from the notification panel... It's way too big, and it is very annoying for me!
App works really well indeed, and I'm looking forward to try a couple of plugins!
Keep up the good work mate!

Thanks! Yes I know I'll ask try to find someone to do some icon design later on. Will become better. I am focusing on improving the usability right now and other performance improvements. They are all in beta now, and if no more issues are found in these versions, I'll be putting this beta to production.

Thanks, the problem with this is running as a service. Android will kill the app if it needs resources. I have tested it and it will kill it quite often and restart it within a few moments. I can add an option (a discouraged one) to disable running as a foreground service. I can also suggest the user to disable notifications for the app if running on jelly bean, and take them there. Another thought was the ability to set a 100% transparent icon so that it does not show up in the notification bar.
The upcoming version (current beta) adds the following features:
custom backgrounds on the sidebar
light and dark theme (dark theme is the current theme, light is like holo light)
better synchronization between appsi and the plugins. (less data loading needed and better user experience)
Improved getting started experience (visible hotspots until the user disables it and an arrow showing how to open the sidebar once the hotspot is touched)
For the next version (after the current beta), I will add the following features for sure:
Favorites manager: Manage the favorites in a proper way and allow for an unlimited amount of favorites.
Navigating between plugins with a simple swipe.
and possibly:
integration with live folders
widgets plugin (already working on this)
Thank you all, and if you have any more ideas or suggestions, please let me know!
May I add something to this already rich and awesome list?
I would REALLY REALLY LIKE to have the possibility to add shortcuts to the apps plugin (as I can do on the launcher screen, for example). That would be really helpful!!
...Maybe also an option to change app icons and names, and a way to hide the "X" for apps removal (which I find quite ugly, this function might be moved to a separate and specific menu to add/remove things maybe?) ?
you may also think about offering an "all plugins package" at a discounted price, rather than having to buy all plugins separately (which, btw, makes the sum of all prices quite high). So that the user can choose if selectively buy the only one or two plugins he needs at their actual price, or directly going for the full thing.. I hope it's clear what I mean!
Cheers and keep up the good work!!
Should you need some beta testers... You know where to look

Yes, the favorites manager will at first be used to replace the current way of adding and removing the favorites. But later on it will also be improved to allow changing names and icons. Also I am planning to do something with icon themes, I still need to determine how and what, but a new theming format is not what I am aiming for (we are talking several releases in the future now)
Shortcuts is definitely on the list of to-dos for the apps plugin. I can't say yet when it will be added but it is something that will definitely be there in the future.
Well beta testers are always very welcome. The XDA Android app testers community is a good starting point, https://plus.google.com/communities/100406373096097711894 . If you join this group and opt-in for beta testing at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.appsimobile.appsi you'll be able to get the beta version. I still need to add this community to the plugins, I will update my original post with the details when it is done.
Appsi sidebar is well beyond 1000 downloads from play store! Yay!
I really recommend this app guys, try it out and you'll see that it is even more comfortable to use than it looks!

I'm joining this too.
Gonna try out.
Keep the good work.

New version released, 1.4 see original post for details
Newest version is great!! An awesome improvement, really!! Appsi is becoming more and more polished and feature rich, while staying lightning fast. Can't think of anything better!!
Now we only need some more theming options, like changing icons (as we do on launchers like nova, apex...)
Cheers and keep up the good work!!

Appsi crashing
Firstly, after 24 hours of using Appsi, I have to say that Appsi has become one of my favourite apps. It is well done and provides needed functionality.
However, from time to time Appsi freezes and the only way to get the sidebar back is to force close the app from the application manager and then restart the app.
I'm using CM 10.1 (Android 4.2.1) on Samsung S3.
Any idea why this is happening?
Cheers,
Eran

Never ever had a freeze or FC on Alliance Rom.. Maybe the problem you have is only tied to aosp roms and not stock or derivative ones?
