1% battery ONLY mod for Wolfbreak's CM 6.1.3 with Xrec zip now. - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Personally I like WB's theme which comes with the ROM, simple and nice. However there's no way to change the battery icon to 1% except use CM settings. I tried to modified other ppl's framework-res.apk but got menu color problem, most of the current theme using black/dark menu but I like the white one.
ONLY TESTED ON Wolfbreak's CM 6.1.3 V053
TESTED ON Wolfbreak's CM 6.1.3 V054, seems working fine.
So I compiled the framework-res.apk and changed the XML to display 1% battery icon in the status bar only, didn't touch anything else.
Hope this could be kinda useful for some of you.
I've uploaded 2 versions one with my own simple battery icon while another one using kevjef420's MattedBlues battery icon. I borrowed the charging icons from kevjef420's theme hope that's fine. You're happy to change to any battery icons you'd like.
No HW LED issue with the work.

MattedBlues version (didn't test but should be ok):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=35OHC6U5

great work - but - i`m not blind, a bigger size will (must) be fine !!!!!!

how can I use this? Is it just install the framework-res_simple.apk like other applications?
EDIT: or rename to framework-res.apk and put in the folder system/framework using root explorer and set the permissions??

rename to framework-res.apk then use ADB to push to phone. Don't use root explorer, you might not have enough time to edit the permission before rebooting...=)

Highly recommended!!!!!!!!! If you want a sleek battery this is the one... although its not like the stock se rom, but its styll perfect

Yes, if you wanna do it with Xrec. Seems it would be good if making a zip file for Xrec.
Edit: I've attached a zip for Xrec in the OP.

Did you download the zip from this thread? or the apk from MU? You don't need any other options to make it work, just flash it and reboot.
If the zip for xrec didn't work, have you tried to use the framework-res.apk from MU with ADB push?

probably easiest to add the transitions to the framework-res from here. or just use the script. the cool thing about using the script is that it should work on top of any modification or theme already applied to the device.
Will this work with the newest build of CM7 or no??

im currently using free x10 froyo and loving it, however i do miss the super circle battery icon from the previous rom i was using. is there any way to just replace the stock icon without going into a whole "theme"?

I don't know how to make an xRecovery package yet, so unless someone else makes one (feel free), you'll need adb to install it:
1. Connect your phone through USB.
2. Copy framework-res.apk to your SD card root directory (/sdcard/).
3. Open a command prompt (in a directory that contains adb) and type:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
4. It will probably crash and reboot. This is normal. If not, reboot manually.

WARNING: Do NOT use Root Explorer to copy framework-res.apk directly over the one in /system/framework/! I think it crashes before it finishes copying, so it'll be corrupted.

A little bit more info would be perfect thx
you take the root explorer or super manager and copy the framework-res.apk on your sd card and then to your pc.
then you rename it to framwork-res.rar and extract it with winrar.
Then you open the extracted folder an search for the slider pictures.
you can edit it they are only pictures.
if you have edited it you make a rar of the folder.
renamed in framework-res.apk and copy in you system folder on you defy.
thats it.
sorry for my poor english

Metamorph AOSP-Lockscreen
I made a Metamorph-Theme for myself which patches any framework-res.apk with the AOSP-Lockscreen.
Maybe this will help you.
it is for all Frameworks ?
Or all of the Froyos ?
I only tested it with some Froyos but theoretically it should work on Eclair, too.
Make a nandroid-backup and give it a try...

Would it also work in the latest CEE Froyo?
yes works fine, and works too on gingerbread roms!
Does it just changes the Slider or also the notificationbar and the symbols there?
So this also works in stock roms and I don't need a custom, deodexed rom in order to have this lockscreen? I just follow the guidelines in the first page and I am good to go?
you change only the zmotoxxx.png image in res/drawable hdpi, used 7zip! this is all!
its only lockscreen image, if you want the status bar aosp, you have to replace the framework.res
I have stock 3.4.2 179. How can I get the lockbar from page 1 of this thread ?
Can I still follow the instructions form page one with the files from page one ? Or are those files incompatible with newer versions of froyo ?

@thomassafca there's a adb shell line in your 'how to' that is incorrect:
busybox cp -R /sdcard/SemcMusic.apk /system/framework/
It's should read /system/app/ instead of /system/framework/
Just a heads up.

Ohh by the way it looks very slick indead, nice work mate
Did it with root explorer. If anybody else does it with root explorer please remeber to move the files to /system/ first, then set permissions and then move to /system/framework/ otherwise you might end up in a bootloop. This only regards the two files going to /system/framworkl/

I also think there must be another way. when I start the phone, the status bar is indeed black, then yes it changes to white after use. you should be able to prevent just that the color changes! I though the picture alters the change will take place anyway, and then the font color is still dark and therefore not to read
