[CM7] fugly fix - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

See POST 46 for the theme packaged as an apk for cm7 theme manager. The following is outdated, and preserved only for future reference.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the default pulldown shade in cm7 looks a bit nasty with the gray bg, etc.
this theme modifies only the pulldown to make it look like this:

Any changes in framework-res.apk in 1/14 build to 1/15 build? It probably safe to flash over lithid's 1/15 build but I just wanted to check.

i already add the flip n fly transitions animation to my framework-res.apk would i just use this and add the flip n fly to this one instead?
the animation is located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=886294&highlight=youtube&page=163 by mitchellvii

probably easiest to add the transitions to the framework-res from here. or just use the script. the cool thing about using the script is that it should work on top of any modification or theme already applied to the device.

Will this work with the newest build of CM7 or no??

the link for the script is down..

Would *love* if you pushed this to the CM Gerrit.

setup a linux install with adb.(covered elsewhere) connect evo to computer with a usb cable. open a terminal and navigate to the directory where you extracted the script. type "./theme.sh" without quotes. press enter key.

This looks really nice. Would love it even more if there wasn't the white highlights around the icons.

Spinning Droid X custom boot animation

Not responsible for anything you do to your phone. This is a basic hack but still proceed with caution.
Wanted to spice up my DX today so I mad my own custom boot animation. I used my avatar for the one I'm using but decided to do some alternates. Here is a Green spinning android version. I will add other colors as well.

Here is a youtube video of the bootup. Please forgive the crappy video. Will make a better one soon.
MUST BE ROOTED
The easiest way to install this is to use Root Explorer. Download the file and rename to bootanimation.zip. Copy the file and navigate to system/media. Change the permissions to R/W by clicking the button in the top right. Rename the existing bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.bak. Then paste the file in this directory. Change permission back to R/O. Reboot and enjoy the show.
Will be adding more colors soon. Put in your request.

I actually used Photoshop to make the icon. Then I used a program called Boris Red to make it 3D and spin.
+1 on a red animation.
It would be very cool too if you could make it pick up speed. What I mean by tha is have it start spinning faster and faster as it boots up...

I don't know how to make an xRecovery package yet, so unless someone else makes one (feel free), you'll need adb to install it:
1. Connect your phone through USB.
2. Copy framework-res.apk to your SD card root directory (/sdcard/).
3. Open a command prompt (in a directory that contains adb) and type:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
4. It will probably crash and reboot. This is normal. If not, reboot manually.

WARNING: Do NOT use Root Explorer to copy framework-res.apk directly over the one in /system/framework/! I think it crashes before it finishes copying, so it'll be corrupted.

No transparent is not black. But the guide there tells you how to change it. It's task that takes 5 minutes of editing in Gimp/PS (took me 5 mins in Photoshop).

hi alex, i found there only this file "status_bar_header_background.9.png"
and this is a black one
I also think there must be another way. when I start the phone, the status bar is indeed black, then yes it changes to white after use. you should be able to prevent just that the color changes! I though the picture alters the change will take place anyway, and then the font color is still dark and therefore not to read

[Q] Batter Icon Percentages for EP4P

Hey everyone,
I just downloaded the 2.3.6 EP4P leak from TBH (deodexed). I HATE the battery icon because it doesn't show percentages left on the battery. Is there an .apk or .zip that I can download to change it?
Thanks in advance.
You could always put on a theme... A whole new blue is a good one... Other than that, you can go on UOT kitchen and make whatever you want and its easy to do.
edit: Why you're at it, why not just flash Humble 5.0? Its an excellent ROM and you can read on the thread how everyone loves it. Plus, there are already 2 really good themes for it.

[MOD][21-11-11] Ravens Battery/Icon Mod for KJ4/KK9 [UOT]

Make sure you do a back up before you flash.
As the title states, it was made with/and for the Odexed KJ4/KK9 framework(s) using a mixture of the UOT and Photoshop, These changes are what I'm using and just thought I'd share it.
I didn't like the green so much, so changed most things to blue, I will keep updating it as time goes by and I'll be changing what I can to this easy on the eye blue.

I have a couple of things I have to tweak to make it a bit more uniform throughout but It's cool enough for now, there is also a change to the window animation to a "Flying" animation, can't really show you a pic of that.
Again if you flash this, Back up, back up...BACK UP! As with most flashable mods, I can't be held responsible if things go pear shaped.
Copy the zip to the device and flash with CWM.

Yeayyy,. im success install it and its look good. Thanks
Lovely - thanks!
I have updated the modification to change the colour of the shortcuts from the status bar drop down curtain and make the colours a bit more uniform throughout, still can't find the blasted place to change the status bar background to an image however, If anyone knows, feel free to give me a heads up.
