FN key on bluetooth keyboard - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I recently bought a mini bluetooth keyboard for use with my Asus A696 (WM 6.0).
It works very well and I'm very happy with it; although there is a problem: the "FN" key on my keyboard does not seem to be recognized by WM. This is a problem as I need to press FN and another key together to get a question mark and some other important things. If I now press FN and the desired key together, it acts like I didn't press the FN key.
Can someone help me solve this?
Thanks in advance!

I still did not find any solution. Is here really noone who can help me?

[HTC VOX(s710)] Keys not working properly.

Hi there,
I'm writing for my brother, who's s710 has a strange keyboard problem. Some of the QWERTY keys don't work (multiple letters, backspace, fn and caps) and some have been 'assigned' to different functions. The 'n'-key for example, is acting like a left-arrow. And since the front keypad (when it is not slided out) works perfectly, it seemed to me to be some sort of strange software-bug. I'm a total newbie when it comes to smart-phones, so I really need your help. So do you guys know how/if I can fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Jeroen.

Using hardware keys in iGO8

I've got a problem configuring iGO8 to use the hardware keys, such as the volume up, volume down, and back key. I know the keycodes for these keys, but when I edit the keybind section in iGO it won't respond to any hardware key input. Did anybody get this to work on his Topaz? If so, how?
I'm using iGO 8.3.2.96054. These are my edits to the keybind so far:
x75="VOLUMEUP"
x76="VOLUMEDOWN"
x875="PREVSCREEN"
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Zoom in zoom out hardkeys really needs
The topic has disappeared onto the 4th page by now, so I thought I might bump it. Can anybody please help me on this? I have done more internet research now, but I still have no answer.
i think its waste of time cause when newer version of igo come out it will support topaz buttons by default.

In order to have working volume keys BEFORE starting igo you HAVE To change screen keyboard from HTC to default Windows one. HTC Keyboard is hooking to volume up/down key presses and iGo doesn't see their state.
How would I do that? I searched in the settings for an option, but I can't find a setting to change back to the standard windows keyboard. I have found a setting allowing me to choose between touch input and a keyboard, but the latter seems to be a hardware keyboard option as is sets itself back. The touch input option is selected by default, it's the default HTC setting.

Keyboard gone weird...

My ! key doesnt work nor does ( ). When I press the FN key when typing, the application leaves messaing and goes to calendar!!
This isnt a hardware fault I'm sure, rather some odd software setting somewhere. Can anyone help please?
With what little information you've provided.....
I would say you have a TP keyboard on your Fuze or Visa-Versa.

Weird hardware keyboard layout.

Hi,
I have been searching for this like an hour. But the layout of my hardware keyboard is messed up. When I hit the caps button, it selects the FN button. And with FN on hitting the H, it will give a 7. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks in advanced,
Armazia
Hey Armazia,
Are you using EzInput or another Keyboard Configuration tool? It may be possible that 2 programs are interfering with eachother, or that you have a wrong version of EzInput. My SYM key didn't work at first, and installing EzInput 1.5 solved this problem, it may also solve yours! (soft reset is needed)
Have you recently installed a custom rom? If so, go to the 'Keyboard Selector' application and select the appropriate keyboard.

[Q] Remap Hardware Keyboard (ASUS TF)

Hey guys,
I just got my shiny new Asus Transformer. Now it's time to make it usable. The first step on this journey is going to be to figure out how to remap the keys on the hardware keyboard.
Preferably, I would remap the "Lock" key to be a "Delete" key. I would also remap the "Home" key to be the "Right-Click/Context Menu" key. (An absolute necessity, since none of the RDP clients I can find support the right mouse button.)
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I know that this has been accomplished on phones with hardware keyboards, however I have yet to find anyone who has made the attempt with the Asus Transformer.
Thank you in advance to anyone giving it a try...
