[HTC VOX(s710)] Keys not working properly. - General Questions and Answers

Hi there,
I'm writing for my brother, who's s710 has a strange keyboard problem. Some of the QWERTY keys don't work (multiple letters, backspace, fn and caps) and some have been 'assigned' to different functions. The 'n'-key for example, is acting like a left-arrow. And since the front keypad (when it is not slided out) works perfectly, it seemed to me to be some sort of strange software-bug. I'm a total newbie when it comes to smart-phones, so I really need your help. So do you guys know how/if I can fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Jeroen.

Do you have some cleartype setting on? (Perhaps tweaked, but some apps also have this setting). This can cause that problem...

Weird Problem - schizophrenic button - help required!

Hi everyone!
I've purchased a second hand i-mate jam (magician) yesterday. There was a problem with it and I've upgraded to big storage 1.13.00 WWE with 1.12.00 radio. However the problem is consistent:
Every button is working besides directional buttons. I guess they are acting like enter button (including the middle selection button). And here's the funny thing: when I click any of the directional buttons, the red/close button stops to work and calender button acts as align screen!
What am I going to do with my schizophrenic buttons? Help me out!
I'm having more experience day by day, if any other semptoms are observed, I will share it with you guys. (and gals, if there is any)
Bye the way, donation is one solution away... (if you dont want to help for free )
Addition: I guess this is related with driver or rom issues, thats why I put this topic here. If anywhere else is the right place, move me there sir (admins)
Ow, ow, I forgot to tell: if I turn it off and back on (standby), the same working buttons back... When I press directionals, here comes the problem...
Problem identified
Middle selection button is kept pressed.
Try on your own: press calender while holding middle selection key: align screen...

[s710 Vox] Keyboard malfunctioning

Hi there,
I'm new here, and to smartphones aswell. I have a s710 which is working properly, except for the fact that some of the keys on the slide-out keyboard dont work as they should. For example, the letter m just doesnt work, but the letter n-key is somehow reassigned to work as a left arrow key.
So when I press the N-button, it acts like the left arrow key. So this seemed to me, obviously, to be a software-related problem. Now I installed that NeO rom on it, and it works perfectly, but it didnt fix the problem. Im not sure if it worked with standart rom (or whatever u call it), since I got it with an unoriginal rom already installed on it.
So my question is if it is fixable, without making any hardware adjustments. Im a real newb when it comes to smartphones, so you guys could really help me out here!
Thanks in advance,
Jeroen.

Keyboard driver replace/ long response time

Hai. I'd like to know is there any replacement of original keyboard driver. Why do i like to change it? I've had lots of phones (non-wm too) and they responded to key immediately, but writing on Wizard, Vox, i-mate Jaq3 was a horrible experience. I feel when keys 'tap', so i've never need to take a look on keyboard while typing (like on computer), but i've noticed such long delays between keypress and a letter on screen. More, some keypresses are ignored in my opinion, because tapping three times '4' sometimes gives me 'h' in exchange of expected 'i'. Even overclocking does not solved my problem.
Only on Samsung i600 keys were buffered correctly, i mean that when writing a long e-mail response time was significantly longer than on message's top(when she was short), but after a short while correct letters appeared.
Here on vox keypresses are just ignored. Problem persist when usign qwerty kbd, so that's why i thought about keyboard driver.
Anyone noticed such issue?
BTW, i have orange branded e650, and i don't want to change rom because of warranty.
Please, help.
Mkay, by modifying registry's values i've understood that problem is not in keyboard driver, but in t9 dlls.
When i delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9 (whole), keyboard seem to act normally. Of course dialpad acts only as numeric keypad, also 'fn' and 'cap' keys does not modify keyboard's behavior (even leds are not lightning up).
I srsly need to work this out. Little help would be really appreciated
I feel like writing posts to myself
Anyways, i've managed to get rid of XT9 IME.
Followind advices in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354914&page=6 I've changed HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e001 0409 to phoneime.dll, ET VOILA! Dialpad response immediatly, qwerty too, but problem is that modifiers as shift and fn does not work.
Now i need to figure this out...

FN key on bluetooth keyboard

Hi,
I recently bought a mini bluetooth keyboard for use with my Asus A696 (WM 6.0).
It works very well and I'm very happy with it; although there is a problem: the "FN" key on my keyboard does not seem to be recognized by WM. This is a problem as I need to press FN and another key together to get a question mark and some other important things. If I now press FN and the desired key together, it acts like I didn't press the FN key.
Can someone help me solve this?
Thanks in advance!
I still did not find any solution. Is here really noone who can help me?
