I came across [Rom] Redemptive rEVOlution a while ago and can't stop using it! I've gone and tried others ROMs to see what is out there and this is by far my favorite. So, I decided to start putting together a RED theme for it. This is more of a community theme than my own personal. I'm taking everyone's thoughts and putting together a theme that we will all enjoy.
Feel free to send me a PM with any thoughts or ideas. You can also contact me via my website where I have all my messengers listed.
This theme is designed for version 2.0 on up. It may work on previous versions but I highly recommend not to install it.
Finally, I included an uninstall file in case you don't like the theme. This way, you don't have to restore your entire phone to get back to original.
Thanks

How to install my theme and extras
There are two ways of installing the theme and it's extras. The first is through recovery, and the second is with metamorph. I will list next to the file, which way you need to install it.
The reason for this is to allow me to cater to more people's recommendations for icons etc... and not have to maintain 50+ different versions of the same theme. It lets me replace certain files, instead of entire frameworks.
This also allows you to install, for example, my red circle battery on top of Fernando's blue theme. In the past it would wipe out his entire framework and change all the framework-res files to red. Now, it'll inject just the 137 battery icons only, and leave the rest of his theme alone.
Recovery Installation Procedure:
1. Download zip file.
2. Boot into recovery
3. Install zip file while in recovery.
4. Reboot phone.
Metamorph Installation Procedure:
1. Download metamorph from the market, it's free!
2. Click on the image or link, of the add-on you'd like.
3. Run metamorph on your phone.
4. Choose "unzip/extract new theme".
5. Find the zip file that you downloaded.
6. Tap the .zip file only. (You may see duplicate files with the same name if you have used it before.) Just pick the .zip file.
5. Click "apply all".
6. Reboot your phone.
Here is a short video on how to use metamorph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enBQzxnpmMs

this is an update to viva! redemption 2.0. this is compatible with redemptive rom 2.1.2 and 2.13.

* changed rosie green outline to blue when moving apps on the home screen.rosie is now completely transparent with unmodded icons. decompiled and renamed all apps from redemptive to viva! this i wont change. someone by just witnessing a screenshot assumed i had stolen his rosie mod. the lineage of the rosie as i know it is heyitslou's own mod that i again modified.
* edited all xml files in resources.arsc from green to blue. htc.album is thus themed so you no longer get a green box when changing wallpaper.

Are you doing a blue?
Also, cortland, for the REDemption 1.2, im not sure if it was a mistake or not, but it's just a little odd IMO that the wifi is only red on the dot part of the icon (noti. bar) Also, the boxed around selected text fields are still green, but i love it so far.
And could you upload the png of the original browser icon?
I like the original better than the red one, thanks guys!

i actually have a red wifi png. somewhere
I agree with you on the browser icon. The text selection boxes have to be reworked.
i meant in the notification bar, not an icon or widget
@ chingy or any other theme DEV working with MikFroyo
can u make or find a red glass clock (with red numbers) and a red dailer (with red buttons) and a red glass rosie dock for the Mikred Theme you made or help make for MikFroyo v4.5. Otherwise I think that this theme is very nice.
I have tried to flash diff verisons of each of these but it always breaks something in the orignal theme.
Thanks in advance
TCA4000
I just installed the MIUI Gingerbread ROM and have been playing around with it. It started out that the Signal and 3g icons were white and the all of a sudden changed to green. Green does not go with the theme I am trying to create and can't figure out what changed to make them go green. Any know how I can get them blue or back to white.
They change green when you have a direct connection to Google's servers. It's a Gingerbread feature.
If you're creating a theme, I assume you're familiar with the MIUI theme system. The icons you need to change are in the SystemUI apk (com.android.systemui). You need to change the stat_sys_data_ files, the stat_sys_signal_ files and the stat_sys_wifi_signal_ files to whatever colors will match your theme.
If you just want the stock icons to be a different color, either use photoshop or gimp to adjust the colors.
If you want them to stay white, just copy over all the "fully" pngs with the corresponding file without "fully" in the file name.
Thanks a lot I finally was able to get them to blue to match everything else!

Looks cool.
I have the Steel Blue theme for CM7 based roms installed. I would like to change the battery indicator pngs. Nothing will change except for the color of each png, which I have already prepared.
The steel blue theme doesn't install anything in /system/app...upon downloading from Market, it installs an apk in /data/app....then you normall go into Theme Chooser, and select the theme.
So I pulled that file (com.teamcarbon.steelblue-1.apk), and used apk manager to decompile it...then I swapped out the png's and recompiled it, and then created a signed apk.
When I pushed it back into /data/app, it won't install, and it doesn't appear in Theme Chooser. However, then I pushed it into /system/app instead. It still wouldn't install by clicking on it, but it did appear in Theme Chooser. And upon applying it in Theme Chooser, everythign works.
Can someone explain this to me? Why did it work when I put it in /system/app instead of where I pulled it from in the first place, which was /data/app?
I'm happy that I got it to work somehow, but I'm curious what happened.
edit: I was also successful swappign out the settings icons, as well as the wi-fi calling notification icons
