I just installed the MIUI Gingerbread ROM and have been playing around with it. It started out that the Signal and 3g icons were white and the all of a sudden changed to green. Green does not go with the theme I am trying to create and can't figure out what changed to make them go green. Any know how I can get them blue or back to white.
They change green when you have a direct connection to Google's servers. It's a Gingerbread feature.
If you're creating a theme, I assume you're familiar with the MIUI theme system. The icons you need to change are in the SystemUI apk (com.android.systemui). You need to change the stat_sys_data_ files, the stat_sys_signal_ files and the stat_sys_wifi_signal_ files to whatever colors will match your theme.
If you just want the stock icons to be a different color, either use photoshop or gimp to adjust the colors.
If you want them to stay white, just copy over all the "fully" pngs with the corresponding file without "fully" in the file name.
Thanks a lot I finally was able to get them to blue to match everything else!

It seems whenever I apply a theme, the circular (or regular lock) bar will not change from the color green, nor will the "Phone" icons change, or will the color of the call button on phone change from green. Any reason these things won't change? Im currently running RubiX 1.9.7 Focused with the Black Juice True Blue theme. See pictures.
First time poster, so I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.
i51.tinypic.com/1zcfpmp.png Lockscreen stays green.
i55.tinypic.com/28je5tx.png Phone numbers don't change, call buttons stays green.
Other question, how do you embed a link into words here?

if you went from one theme to the next more or less themeing over each other some aspects of the old theme may still be seen in the new,,,,sometimes trails can be left behind,so the way i prevent this is right after i flash a rom and know i want to use it and theme it prior to flashing any themes i make a backup of that rom so when i want to use a new theme i restore my clean rom backup and install my new theme,,,this clean rom backup also comes in handy if things dont go well with the theme you installed and need a way out without having to reflash the whole rom, just do a simple restore,,,,sorry to babble and hope this helps
No thats not it, for some reason, those things will not change with any theme I apply.

What color do you want them to be? I just pulled out the framework, and the images haven't been themed, that is why they are still showing up green. I can try and re-color them if you want.
I'd like them to be the same blue color as
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...uice-ginger-themes-rubix-focused-1-9-7-a.html
the true blue theme, which is a few posts down, it's what im using currently.
Also sorry for the late reply, been a busy few days.
I have a white theme with white text. I need to replace all the white text. I am running froyo and yes I have searched and nothing has helped/worked. Thank you in advance.
Look for a compatible theme in the Theme and Apps section or you could possibly make one yourself if you have the know-how (this might help).
You want background to be white? Or text to be white? Kinda confused.
Infuse, infused...running gingerbread
I know how to theme already, thank you though. I got my theme ported and its all white. The problem is; the text is white too. It blends into the background. I need to change the text COLOR from the status bar and drop down to black. How can I do this? And ill give that a try superweapons. Ty.

uot kitchen does this.

Just Google the UOT kitchen on google.
Then then copy these files from the phone to your computer:
1) Framework-res.apk
2) SystemUI.apk
3) TwFramework-res.apk
then do your theme on UOT, then on the file submit page, select [system files] on the upload section, upload your file and submit.
Thank you guys. I used UOT. The text is now black but when I hit menu on the home screen the text is still white and blends with the background. Does anyone know how to change that part?
I am new to theming. I extracted some apks from the ICS OTA and tried to change the gray colors in options menu (gri.png attachment) and calculator background. However, I couldn't find which png to change or if I need to change something else.
Can you please explain how to change these colors? Thanks! I really need this before getting crazier
I've spent the past 5 hours or so figuring out how to change the status bar icons in the Blue Lightning Theme to the icons from VB final. Got that working perfectly.
(I also tried changing the dialer and contacts screens with no luck, but that's a problem for another time.)
In the Blue Lightning theme, the background image of the notification drop down has a pic of a tattooed girl. I grabbed the background image with the same name from RaverX3X's VB final zip and swapped them.
Now the background looks great, but the little bar used to drag the notifications up and away has disappeared. And, it seems like it's much more difficult to flick the drop down away when estimating where that footer bar "should" be. When I check the drawable-hdpi folder in SystemUI.apk, I can see the .png file for the footer, but it doesn't appear on the phone.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Try rebootin?
Rebooting doesn't help.
is that file by any chance a .9.png file? (otherwise known as a Draw-9 patch file)
I thought it might have been that, but nope, just a regular .png.
some launchers have a setting that will hide the notification bar. I wonder if that has somehow been triggered.
Try booting into recovery a fix permissions
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Send me you systemUI in a zip and ill try and fix it for u

Does anyone know how to change the notification bar colour from black to white?
Do you mean the regular emui notification bar? It adapts to the background image you set, so just set a brighter image or edit your current background to include a white bar at the top, though that would look a bit ugly.
If you mean the background when you pull the notification bar down, then you should have a look at custom emui themes, or even make your own somehow.
No i meant the actual expanded notification bar as the black doesn't work well with most apps and huawei uses black font as well when displaying notifs. I only think huawei themes work with stock launcher? And i use nova... Thanks anyway
I think the themes work everywhere, no matter what launcher (at least the notification bar part should). Not all themes include a modified notification bar though, so I think you could try one that definitely does change the notification bar and see it works for you in Nova launcher as well.
I'm attaching a theme I know for sure features a different notification bar for you to try. I also know it's terribly ugly but it's just for testing purposes, once you confirm that it does change the notification bar color for you, we could start disassembling the theme to only take out the interesting parts and adapt them to a different theme after changing the image from greenish to something more white-ish
PS. I had to change the extension to .zip for the board to accept the attachment, please change it to .hwt after you download it and move it into "/sdcard/HWThemes" so the theme manager can find it.
