Nevermind, can some of you guys making these mish-mash roms try to come up with some more creative names?
Now before the flame-throwers come out and start to do their job, hear me out.
Please! KEEP WORKING ON YOUR ROMS! Good god, the variety is a GOOD thing, you have the chance to add something unique to the Hero scene, you also stand to learn a lot more about how your phone and Android works. You get to give something back to the community.
Don't let me stifle your ambitions, just be a little more creative on your names please.

What's wrong with my ROM name?
It is based off of my screen name, which I first started using on the internet about 11 years ago when the movie came out.

Sorry if you felt that this was directed at you, I was making a generalized statement about these rom's that combine the names of several sources to make a 'new' name. I merely tried to tie in each 2.1 rom currently released in my super uber long name.
Actually I kind of like the name of your rom, since I happen to be a big fan of the movie myself.

+1 This is way cool... There was a similiar post over in the themes section not long ago. I can't find it now but the OP was trying to find a theme that looked very close to this? Since this is a rom this is the place to ask!

Didn't you say that this would never work for the hero when someone else brought up porting it a week ago?
MIUI is remarkably ugly to me. Looks like it should be running on a toy phone in a mall kiosk or something, heh.

i dunno, i might of said that.
id more or less like to see that nokia port.
Porting it will be very hard since the processors are different.

Well, iOS doesn't look that bad at all. However, this basically is a Chinese iOS/2.2 AOSP rom, so I guess it just has to look bootleg as hell...

the processor wouldn't be an issue at all... it's other things like the gpu, touchscreen, buttons, camera, etc. that would make it difficult.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I read once when there were talks about porting FroYo or something to our phone, the only real candidate was the MyTouch Slide because it had the same CPU tables or something as our phone. Without the same CPU tables (w/e it was), the port was a lot more difficult. But yes, if we did get the cpu to work right, the rest would be difficult.

Its out for everyone, but I would suggest that the dev who made it post it on here, if they want it on here, or at least ask them first.
its freely available on his site, dont need to be a premium member.
i see nothing wrong with this especially if he is posting it for free download on his own site.
i would send a message to him and just ask if he minds.
he is getting traffic to his site so most people wouldnt care.

I would expect something great with a statement like that. Well Maybe i'm expecting to much. Can anybody that has used it make a case for it? Is it in any way better than the other roms out? thanks

Gonna give this one a shot. Been using CM6 for about a week, and I wanna try something new. Hoping for better battery life here. Not thrilled it's a Sense ROM, but, oh well.

PRI is independent of ROM. If you have the latest PRI, it will stay with any ROM you flash.
First thing I can say about it is it feels very quick indeed. Overall it feels a bit more responsive than cm6. My biggest concern is battery life. Although my Evo had acceptable battery life when running stock, I have noticed that it was actually worse when running cm6.
I do miss being able to force my Evo to roam though. That's one feature I would love built into this rom.

it should be a bit quicker...
it's an odexed rom.
there is good and bad in any kind of system... odexed or deodexed.
there is a big topic about more specific differences between odex and deodex somewhere in the forums.
because it is odexed that means you cant theme it right?

Well im glad it was posted here, cuz i didnt know he was working on a rom. Ill give it a shot. Oh and theirs an app in the market that allows you to force roam, i think its called "roam control"

What happened to the Toxic Blood Rom in the android development section for the g2x? That was the most stable and fastest rom I have tried yet! The thread was locked then dissapeared! Anybody know wat happened?

There are other roms out there that are identical too his, performance wise and speed wise.

Yea there are other roms but non of them (that I have seen) are based this close to cm7 2.3.4 and still this cool and bug free, out of every rom this one seemed to be the very best, too bad no more updates .......

That makes it clear why it is no longer here. I remember the same issue in the HD2 forum. There was quite a commotion regarding the use others work and who originally created some roms and how much was "borrowed" from other developers.
TRUST me there is a ROM that is the SAME in the developmental section.......

I just rooted my phone a few days ago and am kind of overwhelmed with all of the different possibilities. I have cm7.2 running perfectly and have overclocked my phone to around 1.5 ghz. I want to make my shift have the look and feel of a galaxy s2 for a week or two now. I really like the widgets, icons, and just overall appeal. Plus, rooting has got me feeling adventurous. so, any ideas?
I'd suggest trying stone different roms out. My old standby is supreme sense (sense2.1 + 3.0). Ben using it since our came out and always end up going back. Newsense (sense 2.1) is kickass. You could try ICS. I was always a big fan of MIUI due to all the customizations. There is so much I'd say just dive in. Try em out one by one. There's even u.k.e. as well as all the new stuff posted by like joy os and coredroid. It will really just come down to personal preference. And if you really can't choose which to try first just go right down the list lol
If you like the setup you're on now and don't want to change, try searching for a cm7 theme. I'm sure there is a touchwiz theme somewhere.

Well, I looked for a touchwiz theme and couldn't really find anything. But, I did find find a post on SinfulAndroid about getting Galaxy-ish widgets. These don't have that feel that I'm looking for, though, so wasn't really useful.

if you like cm7.2 id def go with U.K.E. although for sense id go with newSENSE

I think zenulator had a flashable touchwiz zip for ics over on his cm9 thread
Thanks for everybody's advice and help. But after a day's worth of browsing around the forums and trying everything I could, I think I have something I'll be happy with, for a while at least.
