i just tried it, it's not working. i used phm regedit & changed 0=1, my test method is i played a song in media player, then called from other number after picking up the call i wasn't able to hear the song on my mobile, nor at the other end.
do we need to soft reset after the change? if i soft reset the value is reverting back from 1 to 0 & i am using nbd7.3 rom.
i want to play my recorded music to the caller let me know how do i do it.

Hello Guy`s...
I have one request and i wonder why Nobody create some usefull app like this.
Im talking now about Blackstone but this can be usefull for everyone.
For example if you have thousend songs and you often listen music with your device will be very cool if you have a Alphabet serch bar for Music in the TF3D the same Bar that you have under contacts when you search a contact will be very usefull to have that in the Music Tab.
I think is not so hard to be made.. but i can`t do it by myself because i don`t understand how this work exactly.
This Request was few mounth under the Blackstone section but no one write something about that..
For this reason i decide to post it here where is full with Developers and peoples who know how to do it.
This is something that we can use almost everyday and will change the expirience of listening Music.
Please someone to make a Alphabet Search Bar for F3D Music Tab
Sorry for my English is not my mother language
I edit the Post because i saw that many peoples are interested in Search Bar like this and also some already Write a Bounty so i will Update the post Daily with All peoples who wana Bounty for this Project when is DONE and Work Perfect.
Anyway With Bounty Or Without this is something that we really need in our TF3D Music Tab.
Bounty List:
----------------------------------------------------
1. MineralGray02K = $10
Also my problem because i have got a lot of songs in my phone :/ But the best solution is to choose another player but i love that olayer in manila someone please do this
i really really need this!! i am forced to use the manila player in order to be able to use the button on my headphones to control music like an iphone. gets really annoying though having to scroll through a list of several hundred artists to get where i need! Please make this hack!!
So go 4 it, and write something and then share it with us! you'll get at least great repect as a reward for it

Can you read?
If im able to write and create some APP Like this i will not OPEN here new Treath someone to do it will do it by myself.
Too bad nobody seems to be interested.. I also would really like to see an alphabetic scrollbar on the right (like conduit pocketplayer 4.1); It takes ages to scroll down when you've got 1000+ songs.
I've got no idea whatsoever on how to do this; Is there anyone out ther who does? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I have the Music tab on TF3D disabled because there is no organization to it at all. This would be great!

Yes exactly NO ORGANIZATION and is very hard to Find the Song you wana Listen.
On the same time we NEED This because the Manila Music Player is very good i can say with sure. And maybe many of you know that the Quality of the Sound with the Manila Music Player is THE BEST.
I try around 10 diferent APPS MUsic Players no one of them can compare to the Default Manila Music Player im talking about the Sound Quality etc.
This Alphabetic Search Bar will be Superb Useful.
still no one willing to give this a try?we only ask here cos we dont know to do this ourselves
I want the same thing, I hope it will be possible one day...
oh please, i pray for a cab like this!
nobody seems interested to develop such a change? damn it
WAANT!!!
Me too wants this feature!! It would complete the already fabulous TF3D Music Player!! Please someone...
Yeah, i dont get why this isnt in there from htc.
Player in Manila is very nice.
But I think that there are other big problems that should be solved to make "The Player":
-Possibility to order what you get in screen (by Album, artist, music style...)
-Possibility to exclude folders some folders or to load only contens on "My Documents/music", instead of mixing music with ring tones and any wav file it found on the phone.
Any way, the propossed bar could be a great improvement.
Go to the registry. I don't feel like searching for you, but I've done it and it works. You don't get the letters, but you aren't stuck scrolling forever. Play with the scroll speeds/friction. The pro is that when I did it, I got through 4000+ songs in a few seconds (40kbps is good enough for telephone conversation, so it's good enough for my bluetooth). The con is that instead of seeing where you are, it's kind of blank due to it "going so fast." once you get comfortable, you will know how to get to certain letters fairly easy. Whoever finds it first, post it for the others please.

I know you can change ringtones in Mango, but I'm confused if there is a way to create custom alerts as well.
Is this a feature that just isn't implemented yet?
Thanks!

I did search, and found the only options were linked to Alarm tones.
Maybe you could be so kind as to link a thread/post that goes into Alerts?

Wish people would give the links out and not say "search for it, its out there". I searched google and asked twice on the forum, nothing. If it can't be done fine, but if it can people need to show others.
Also still wondering if this is possible..
Use any music editing software(audacity etc) or Myxer.com and create an .mp3(I think .wav too, I'm not sure) file of the part of the song that u want as a ringtone. It has to be less than 39secs and less than 1MB. Then save the file anywhere on your computer(I save mine where I have my other music). Go to Zune software and locate the file that you made, right click it and change the genre to Ringtone(I had to type mine out) then then sync it to your device and you should be able to set it as a ringtone.

I can tell you what I did. I followed the instructions in the Mango Tips & Tricks thread. First you need to make sure your intended is less than 40 seconds long & less than 1 MB in size. Also, make sure it's a MP3 or WMA. To do this, used a audio editing software. I used AVS Audio Converter6 (Paid for app). Than load it into Zune by putting it in a folder being monitored by Zune for music. You can check in Zune settings which folders are watched & add or remove folders as needed. Now in the Zune software, find the file & right click on it. Click on Edit, than click the Genre field & type in Ringtone. Than just drag it to the WP7 icon at the buttom of Zune. On your WP7 device, go to the ringtones settings & it'll show up at the top of the list under "Custom". It'll be named by filename btw.

Custom Ringtones
1. Copy MP3 or WMA to Zune Collection. Choose Edit, and type in manually under Genre "Ringtone". The song must be less than 40 seconds and smaller than 1MB.
2. Go to Settings -> Ringtones + Sounds, tap Ringtone. Your custom ringtone will appear under a new tree called "Custom", above "Windows Phone"
Note that it is identified by the filename, rather than the track title.
Also, you can tap and HOLD a ringtone, and Delete will be offered (but only on the Custom ones; preloaded ones grey out delete).

I can see and empathise with TooSlo's frustration here - he's asking if its possible to create alert tones and folks are beating him up for it and sending him info on how to create ring tones. Unfortunately, you can't use ringtones for the various alert tones.
I suppose a hack is possible. It may be as easy as finding the appropriate category and editing the metadata (like you do with Ringtones).
same problem ive had searching for custom alerts.. nobody understands the question.
is there any way to make the question clearer for people to understand what were after? i say that in a non-sarcastic manner truly

I can't find any information that allows for custom alerts. I've been looking for this as well.
Not tried in latest Mango but I did in 7712
Sideload Touch Explorer and send yourself the tone you want but rename as ALERT 10 etc (we have to overwrite one of the built in ones)
Open the email and download the attachment then using Touch Ecplorer look in the volatile folders and you will see your file then copy and paste to the windows folder.
You may have to open the email and open attachment a few times before it shows in volatile but you will find it eventually
Hope this helps
That's more or less the same thing you have to do in Mango, but with provxmls. Follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238519
You can try this: Advanced Configuration Tool 1.3.0.0 beta available - for Mango only
That app have this option.
Just to let everyone know I have just reflashed my HD2 to Mango 7720, and used the email, copy and paste to windows folder and it still works
To be more precise email yourself a wma file and call it something like Alert-10.wma the open your email and download then play the attachment.
Then press home key and open touch explorer and navigate to APPLICATION DATA then VOLATILE and then EMAILATTACHMENTS and look in any folders you find here then using touch explorer copy and paste the file to the WINDOWS folder and overwrite.
Then set alert 10 as your chosen tone (or whatever number you used) and hey presto
looks like us without htc have to find an alternative to modify the filesystem? it seems touch explorer only works on htc devices for the time being. I did test out the advanced config tool, but it doesnt seem to have privs to modify much of anything yet
anyone else have luck on LG?

The problem here is that you and many others who have posted how to make ringtones haven't bothered to understand what the original post was asking. This is what is wrong with forums these days. You do a google search and you get a question asked in a forum and instead of any good info, you get a senior member "beating up" some guy for arriving at their site. If you do not want to answer questions then don't post. These types of forums are meant to be a help, so be HELPFUL. At least post a link that answers the question, not a google search that will bring them right back to their question.
The original post WAS NOT asking how to make ringtones; we all knew how to do that before Mango was released. The question was the ALERTS that WP7 uses for SMS, MMS, email and alarms. I too was doing my own footwork when I came upon this question. And of course like many other responses to my google search, they all talk about RINGTONES. I did however find on this forum a post that might answer this one's question.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368361
The answerer mentions using something called touchxperience/touchxplorer, but does not go into any detail as to how he was able to accomplish this.
I can imagine I'll go to that post and reply as to how he did it and some senior member will beat me up and say something about how I should do my own research.
BE HELPFUL!! Please.

i had used heathcliff's file deployer and deployed to /my documents/my ringtones (i think it was a .wma)
then changed the registry path for sms ringtones to point to the file. i think i used wp root tools to change the registry entry since it was easier than finding it in the registry.
that should work for LG phones also

I tried it last month and all of the filesystem tools I had attempted were unable to make modifications. I tried Advanced explorer, diagprovxml(I think this was for maybe getting the wifi tether working..), and another one that I cannot recall at the moment. None of these were able to successfully modify the files properly.
LG still no go for me, unless someone else has gotten it to work since I last tried?

That is out dated information neither Touch experince nor Touch explorer are currently working on Mango. Supposedly there is a beta version that works on Mango but you have to donate and ask the dev to be a beta tester and wait and see if he actually responds. Well I'm waiting of a straight forward way.
I created a ringtone using Ringdroid back when I first got the Nexus 5. Ever since then, I have been using that ringtone.
That is, until I upgraded to Lolipop. Now, even though I can select that ringtone and hear it when I select it as my default., it will not play when I get a call. If I choose one of the stock ringtones, it works just fine, but my custom created one will not play. Any thoughts?
Not sure what I did differently this time, but I finally got it to work.

I'm having issues getting some of my notification sounds to play.
I haven't had time to look, but I suspect it may have something to do with the audio file's encoding. Compare your file to one in the media folder that works.
Audacity may be able to do this.

I think you may be right. It looks like the specific "ringtone" encoding may not work with Lolipop, where MP3s do.
Had the similar problem with the pop.m4a notification from the facebook app which worked until 5.0 where it became silent. Tried downloading the mp3 version of the same file from the audio archive site and that didn't help at all (mp3 file still wouldn't play).
What I did in the end is download Zedge, searched for the facebook pop, found the sound which worked and just set that as a notification sound (well, I've downloaded it and placed it in the /sdcard/Notifications for the future use, but you can set it as a default notification right from the Zedge app).

Here is the feedback... I'm using it for the day, you posted the app....
1. Auto rotate refreshes the app. May be u should add property in manifest.XML file.
2. Looks like top 5 list, only displays top 4 songs.
Suggestions:
1. In settings add option to select target directory location. To get sdcard parmission, u have add a prop in manifest.xml and add 4-5 lines code to ask sdcard permission.
2. If possible, ability to select bit rate to download. Now it downloads at highest bit rate.
3. Auto download lyrics, album art and other info.
Although suggestions are not necessary to implement, it would be nice, if u can put them, if u have some time...

Great I see you are a developer too. Well I try to do apps in free time so will have most of these in near updates. Lets see how people react to the app
Yeah, even I created few apps... Only one app (search in playstore as "srihari gonela") I have posted in play store. But I'm not developing apps now, as I m on busy schedule. If u face any issue and if I can solve it, I will surely do it.
I wish, this app can help, lots of music lovers...

Awsome apk!
So far so great!
If you want my advice:
The search bar takes what you type in too precisely
For example: "im" ~ "i'm"
As well as having the search adjustable from looking up one song to looking up all known songs by an artist
Also the ability to control where the downloaded files go would be awsome
Brilliant but needs to list bitrate info as well
What are the music sources ?
I am an audiophile and I need to know more about the quality of what I am downloading
App no longer works
All searches are brought to:
"No files found..."
I have tried every single artist and song name i know
I even triple checked online.
App was great while it lasted
Nothing fixed, nothing upgraded.
Moving on to better and greater things
The app crashes most of the time and downloads rarely works
Nothing about the app has been improved
Since I had talked to the developer of this app on FB
wow, that is really usefull
Thank you
perfect. downloaded and am enjoying your efforts
Working good for downloads over here on June 25th 2018 guys. Samsung rooted Verizon note 8. Thanks dev.
Thank you guys. Sometimes if you don't get results please be patient I will fix it on the go & you'll get the downloads without any update.
New feature probability..
Can this app be integrated to Google Now Sound Search?
Like, when Google Now detects the song, this app can retrieve the song and download it.
Just an idea.
I quess this App has stop upgrading ?
It still finds and download music , but i cant find it in my phone , only in the App. Is that the way it supposed to work ?
I usually download ringtones at: https://kostenloseklingeltone.mobi/
