I have a Huawei E220 USB 3G dongle that I'd love to use with my Viewsonic G Tablet running CyanogenMod 6.1.0-beta4 and kernel version 2.6.32.9-00000-10.8.2-dirty. I have searched the Viewsonic G Tablet forums, found some information but am not sure whether someone has been successful with the modem and software combination above.
Unfortunately I am not able to post a reply in the developer forum since I have yet to post 10 threads...
hga89,
No one else is responding, so I'll throw this in. I watch threads like this because I
would like to do what you are talking about .
But I have not read of anyone here saying they made it work. There used to be a
thread -- in Developer Forum I think -- where someone was talking about it and it
said "ON HOLD" or some such on the heading.
lBottom line is I don't know, but I haven't heard of anyone with success since November.

If a developer is interested in collaborating on getting the Huawei E220 USB 3G dongle up and running under CyanogenMod, I'd like to help out.

Do a search for "Huawei" in this forum, and look for a thread started by Russian Beast. S/he claims to have found a solution.

Hello,
I am new to this forum community. This is actually my first post ever.
I own the cingular 8125. I recently aquired a bluetooth stereo headset, hoping to utilize media options on the go. I bought the Southwing sa505, which seems to be a great product, except for the fact that it will not work with my phone. I have contacted Cingular/att, Southwing, and the HTC people. Everyone knows that I need the A2DP hack, but nobody can tell me where to get it.
I've done my own searching using the various engines, but all I can find are waves and waves of forums-no actual links to any type of file. If you guys can help me resolve my frustration in this matter, then I will become a financial contributor.
I am so tired of dead ends, please try to give me a response, whether you can help me or not.
Thank you for your time,
James Coyle

Welcome to the forum.
Usually people here tell n00bs with such questions to keep searching but since you offered us money...
Just kidding!
Seriously though:
Please read the first page of this thread. You will find a download link, full instructions and even screen shots. Though it is not specific for your device it is for very similar model (just no keyboard) and should work just fine for you. (As far as I know this is the only patch available).
In the future I recommend you post questions specific to your device in the Wizard subsection (that is what your phone is called here).
P.S.
This hack is a ripoff from another phone. No official solution exists which is why any of the companies you contacted couldn't help you.

I've just got the app, but the wifi signal doesn't show up on my computer's available wireless networks. I searched everything in the Raphael thread, and the only thing I found was someone else with the same problem, but it was never truly answered, someone said try to set up a ad-hoc on your computer which I tried and didn't work. I even searched the "Don't start a new thread" thread and found nothing. Any help would be great.
which model phone do you have and what carrier?
not to be rude, but let's think... what forum are we in? could it be the rapheal forum? and my carrier is alltel(which is a reasonable question)

Come on, be respectful. To be fair, if you have an Alltel Touch Pro, then you do not even have a Raphael; you have a Herman.
Perhaps you should try asking your question in the thread for that app (or search that thread for an answer). There's also a similar thread in the Raphael software forum about it. I recommend you look there as well.
Was wondering if anyone knows of a good community based around GoogleTV and/or the Logitech Revue. Just got mine today, and would love to be part of the development community around it. Did some light google searching, but nothing came up.
I'm assuming of course, that it won't get a forum here, since it's not a mobile device
Bumping this thread .. GTVhacker has a forum now for GoogleTV development. It's looking like a 3.1 leak may be right around the corner too.
Dear friends
I don't have technical knowledge but I would like to start this thread for developer because I didn't found any discussion about it. If it will possible then it will be a major break-through for Android OS.
Points
Is that possible to read USB (Pen Drive) through cable on android running mobile?
Anybody tried to do it?
Same question for may different card also.
If dev team will got success on this then they can also try to read a hard disk with the support of external power for hard disk.
Our current Android is already reading a Micro SD card.
I think it will be possible because now we have dual core processor too on mobile as well.
It is my humble request to all dev to think about it.
I used I-mate phone for 2 years and started to used it in 2006. Since then I have this question in my mind for more than 5 years. Now it is hard for me to keep in mind.
Please, forgive me if I started a wrong thread at wrong place.

If I read your needs corerctly, there's quite a few threads on this, here's what google finds on xda
This is called usb host, google it and you'll find some links or use xda search
Thanks a lot dear
But, all the things about USB host is not at one place. It is too hard for noobs, like me, too understand and sort out things together.
Further help appreciated.
I have HTC Sensation and Windows mobile 6.1 (I-mate).
Thanks again
This feature is called OTG, and is a part of Honeycomb. It's on my Galaxy Tab 10.1. BTW, it does not work all that well as support for many device classes is not provided.
Sent from a distant planet with the aid of my towel.

Moving to General
So, I know a700 natively does not support 3g, however since I can connect any USB device to it, is it possible to have 3G/4G mobile broadband dongles working or is it a limitation of ICS drivers library?
EDIT: sorry, I thought I was posting it in Q/A section. If possible, would like to ask moderators to move. Thanks
