anyone tried the tech 21 silicone case?

hey guys,
I'm looking for a good black silicone case for the S. I came across http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/tech-21-silicone-case-for-google-nexus-s-black-p27176.htm this one but I was wondering if anyone tried it and if it had that same problem as the one my friend had with the space behind it ( dont really wanna stuff the case just so it doesn't move in the case)

I use one of these with the Nexus S and its pretty good. Its made out of that new d30 material that was on Dragons Den, absorbs most of the shock if you drop the phone. The guy on there had his iphone in one and was throwing it around the room and then showing it had no damage (shame I haven't thrown the nexus S around with it on but it feels quite robust.
There is no space behind the phone, its a tight fit so dont worry about that. Also its got that nice smooth material feel to it where its a bit slidey in your hand, not so much you might drop it but slippy all the same.
My only quibble with this case is that it picks up fluff and dust very easily. It wipes off easy enough but its still a pain in the arse to do every time its been in your pocket which if like mine are full of fluff and other crap

Anyone tried this pouch?
I like the idea of being able to have it protected while its away, but also still enjoy a free device while using it. How is the bulk on the case Tech 21 makes?

I would love to have a sleeve/pouch and i would love a pouch like that, but where can a case like that be found here in the US, fancy molecules and all

Finally! a case that looks some what decent
do they have more colours to choose from, black is boring and that website is not very friendly, as it doesn't provide enough information about the item

I'm not convinced they wouldn't ship it here. It would be expensive, but they might do it.

I was looking at those on amazon, I was kinda into the white one. How is the bulk on it?

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?

It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that

Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.

Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>

I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.

Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)

Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....

And one thing just to be sure.... is it a cover to protect the phone or is it the back cover for battery?
Hummm.... Like is it the cover you can take off the back to get to the battery or is it a cover to protect the phone which you put over it?

Its a cover to protect the phone. It gives a small lip over the screen to you can set it on the front and not have it resting on the screen. I personally like it because it doesn't add any bulk while adding protection.

this looks great, website loads...but when i choose the design a case link it says "design your case - Now loading..." and doesn't get any further, tried on IE and FF.

No, unfortunately the big wigs didn't listen when I said that was better. Were working on the galaxy s 2 now and I think I've convinced them to do tough for that

these are not customizable, but something different, its available for other phones and model.

Do any of the Galaxy S variant cases fit the Galaxy SL GT-I9003? I tried the Galaxy S I9000 Tough Case at a local shop on my Galaxy SL and it didn't fit.

i have the one from the 2nd link, the black version of it and i just want to let you know that you wont like it, i had to remove the cover and left only the back silicone case, because its ugly as hell. Though no idea where you can buy those, in my country they are sold in every corner of the city

The other day I was in the bathroom and forgot that I put my phone on the towel... Got a tiny dent on the corner(Plastic bezel sucks) even though once the cover for it comes in by the 14 of this month is driving me crazy just to see a scratch/dent on it.

Didn't even follow the title. You didn't "show us" anything.

Dont have a cam right now to take a pic. The phone fell and hit the floor with the right bottom corner. Honestly seems more like a chip mark than a dent or a scratch.

People who don't put a case on an expensive device are like guys who don't use condoms with a random girl...I just don't get it...

I actually order a case but still hasn't arrive.

First thing I get is a case. Even if I have to buy from best buy and pay s premium price. Protection is first priority. After that I'll hit Amazon and get s case I like. I take no chances because you can't undo a drop.

For most people you're right about the phone - and the random girl.
Yet no one puts cases on their fine crystal Scotch or Cognac glasses - they show them for the fine stemware beauty and art they are designed to be and treat them with care. And no one expects a random girl to be virgin clean ... especially a random that doesn't care if you're goin' in raw-dog.
I've always been disease free my whole life (I'm oooold) because I've chosen wisely .... and I've NEVER used a case on any of my Cell Phones, going all the way back to my first phone in 1992, because I treat them like the fragile glass and electronic pieces of artistic equipment they are.
As much as I agree with the analogy of cases for some people .... I certainly understand why most don't use a case.
Where we probably agree the most is when someone doesn't use a case (or condom) and then complains about how bad their lack of carefulness became a bad situation and blames everything/everyone but themselves.

That's why I use a clear case on my v20 with a built in metal kickstand. It shows off the phone but protects it.

The great news is that if you damage the top or bottom of your phone you can replace it by removing the 4 screws on those portions and buying a new chin or forehead. I swapped the bottom chin for a new one when my old one got scratched. It was quick and painless process.

haha I ended up with getting titan bc im impatient, but i just realized I could always replace the 3 parts with silver and practically have the silver phone.
