Hi guys, hope someone of you can help me.
I've got a Huawei u8150, with android 2.2 i guess.
Trying to remove some apps with names like launcher:assassins creed, i've rooted and removed launcher2, what a noob, sorry for that.
Launcher2.odex
Launcher2.rpk
Now the telephone don't boot and i don't have that files, and i can't figure how to put that files back on my telephone.
Please help meeeee!
Grab a stock rom (you can find some here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940397 ) then flash it.
You do this by putting the dload folder on your sd card, then turn the phone off and hold volume up and end when you power the phone on.
This will wipe all the data off you're phone and give you a fresh android installation.
Thanks for your quick reply
Is there another way to avoid the flash thing?
There's no stock rom for my country, Argentina, and i fear to make it worst.
If you have a custom recovery you could package launcher2 and try to flash that.
You're phone should still work with a rom from another country though. Mine's from New Zealand but I've flashed a German rom (has 2.2.1 instead of 2.2).
Thank you very much, i have my phone live again, thank you man!
Next time i'll try that german rom like you.
Thanks again.

Hello guys. I just had an unexpected problem. i finally managed to install custom firmware (miui to be exact) and i have A BIG PROBLEM!!!
When i press the power button, in order to lock in, my phone just shuts down!
I tried installing different versions of miui, I even installed CM to to test.. but problem still apears. This means i cant use any custom firmwares, except standart one.
I saw many comments, that people saying it works and etc. but mine lock in button just shuts down the whole phone.
Huawei u8800pro
Android Version: 2.2.2
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build number: 203026
Please, i beg you, help someone! Give atleast a tip or smth, I would appreciate any help.
I was helping him with this, since i have more expierience with flashing and rooting phones (Hey DHD and Xperia X1), and i can add that the phone was stock bought, and CWM was installed. It was not upgraded to 2.3.5 (Why would you need to do that, if you later wipe it via CWM. Or maybe that update contained some baseband update we needed?), it was just CWM installation, and then zip flashing via the menus. 2x MIUI ROM's were tryed, one CM7 ROM. All three of which were causing shutdowns when you lock the phone. I had the same problem with my DHD some time ago when running MIUI, but then it was just kernel related, so we tryed the CM7 ROM, but it was hanging too. Would be nice if someone could help.
Thank you.
Hello,
I appreciate everyone here is from quite a technical background. I'm quite a noob with these things but hopefully this isn't a massive issue.
I have a HTC sensation (I'm in the uk) and I have been using cm7 for many months. I've just decided to download cm9 and install and everything was going smoothly until I get to the welcome screen.
I try to change English (USA) to English (uk) but this freezes the phone and makes it reboot. I go through this motion over and over again. Any ideas please?
When I updated to cm9, I assumed my phone was already s-off (to be honest I still don't know what this means but thought I did it when I installed cm7) so all I did this time was download cm9 and gapps to the root folder of the SD card. Then I opened rom manager, flashed clockwork recovery and went into recovery mode. I then wiped the data on the phone, wiped the cache, installed cm9 and then gapps and now I'm here!
Any ideas anyone? Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Once you are s-off,you do not lose it,unless you manually switch it on in fastboot.
Did you update your firmware before installing the new ROM?

Hi, many thanks for your reply. No I didn't update the firmware, I don't think it states this in the update instructions on the CM website - I assume I was supposed to update firmware?
What should I do now, considering the phone is in this silly loop (welcome screen to off to welcome etc...)

The post above mine links to the best guide to get CM9 booting.
But in the mean time if you don't have the time to figure all that out (it's not hard, but it can take a little while your first time because you'll be extra careful and read all the instructions 100 times before each step) you can revert back to a Gingerbread ROM. I assume that's where you started, so if you have the Gingerbread firmware you can boo any Gingerbread ROM. That will only take about 5 minutes. So if you're in a rush to get a working phone right now just do that and it'll boot right up.
haha yes i read the instructions several times, although it's quite clear, to a newbie it's still very complicated! managed to get through it though and in hindsight that thread is pure awesomeness.
managed to get cm9 working now so will spend some time messing around with it.
thank you for all of your help.
ps. yes i began using gingerbread (stock) but i didn't have a ROM to hand and I wasn't sure if I can just download and install any rom (stock or not) willy nilly without having to do several different things to my phone so i just tried to get cm9 sorted. hopefully won't have to update rom now for some time.
thanks again!!
Hi all i own a Spice MI 410 phone, i tried to install CM9 custom ROM on it using clock work recovery mod but each time after successful updation my phone doesn't reboot! its stuck at boot screen. If i restore it it runs fine. I really want to install a custom rom please help. I cleared all data, dalvik, cache etc. I even tried it using rom manager where it automatically cleans cache but each time its stuck in boot loop! i am really at lost at what to do whole Saturday of mine was wasted doing this, please guide thanks.

Sorry to know, well if you find any solution then do share it here.
1) Are you sure the ROM you downloaded is for your phone?
2) Did you try downloading the ROM again? (You could have gotten a bad download.)
Sounds like a soft brick i had this happen several times. Start up in recovery, restore backed up rom, reboot, redownload the rom you are trying to flash, boot recovery, wipe your cache delv, and factory, than try again. If that doesnt work the rom you downloaded is bad. If you didnt make a recovery, take your SD out put it in your computer, download a rom go it that you know definitely works, put it back in your phone and than juat flash the working rom.
Fixing Permission while in recovery has done miraculous things for me and I did not see that you mentioned that. Also on some devices (HTC namely) if you are not running the right bootloader version some ROM's won't boot, EX running CyanogenMod ROM on hboot 1.58. Search your device forum and see if the answer lies there...and whatever it is that is causing this, once resolved please pot back so that others can learn from your experience.
Well the problem is my phone (Spice CSL MI 410) comes in different models in different countries and even different types like cdma/GSM etc. Its Spice CSL MI 410,Wellcom, Motorola Truimph, Huwaie Ideos X6 etc etc So i don't know if this Rom fits my model as here only Ideos x6 forum is present and i downloaded from there, still i will try to redownload it
Ladies and Gents, please kindly assist. I am using samsung galaxy ace gt s5830, and rooted it and not long ago juz flash a custom rom, now that if i move my apps to sd card, unless games, which so far no prob, those opera, whatsapp and other things i put in sd will either freeze or the phone will just restart if i run them. The problems you have, IMO, are from your custom ROM. You can try another ROM, don't forget to read others' comments.
If you still want to go back to Stock ROM, you can use Odin:
1. You turn off the phone. Enter download mode (Volume down + Home + Power). When a cell in Odin turns yellow, it's ready.
2. Stock ROMs often come with 1 or 3 files, if 1, put it in PDA, if 3, put them in PDA, CSC and Phone.
3. Press start and wait...
It's easy after you do it several times.
Good luck.

I flash droid ace version2 that time. at first still OK, but then there are some problems and so I reflash the rom, then it starts to be like this, I even try the droidace version 2.1 but problem still exists. as before won't like that, so I thought it may be my setting prob or something like that. are you using ace too? anyone can suggest some nice custom rom for galaxy ace?
phone freezing after installing custom rom
i have installed foxhound and the codec rom, after rebooting when the phone starts it freezes after some time,i have tried re flashing the rom but its stil the same, how do i fix it?
Bought this for my daughter.
Rooted it, did a nandroid, then forgot to copy my nandroid to PC before I wiped the sd card for ext..
So, after looking all over the net, I have found Modded stock roms, but none with the update profile feature.
I rooted and flashed a rom before activating, so now I seem to be hosed....
Nothin for cricket seems to work as far as "back to stock". I tried these just in hopes that they might work.. Even if they didnt, Im no worse off. Seems ST is the oddball of the carriers, since you cant get into adb with it, only recovery.
If you have a copy of this rom, or know where to get one, please post. Again, I need Straight Talk Ascend II (M865c) STOCK rom with UPDATE PROFILE option.
Or, if you know a workaround on how to activate while running a modded or custom rom.
Thanks in advance.
