I travel everyday to work. I carry a bag pack with me. And usually, I like to walk fast, so I'm pretty rough. I also sometimes carry a lot of instruments and whatnot in the bag.
Is there a hard case that fits the gtab? Anyone know of one? Preferably cheap. And I don't care if it looks ugly. Anything will look beautiful compared to me.

So i got this idea from one guy who put the 3M carbon fiber skin on EVO, But the problem was the curvy shape of my beloved Nexus. So I tried a few things and wasted some Vinyl but finally i bought Best skins ever skin for $8 and used it as a stencil and cut out the vinyl with my xacto. here are the pics. I liked it a lot so i thought i'll share with you guys.
That.....Looks.....AMAZING! Do tell....
Wanna give me the skin you didn't use? ;-)

Agreed, you've 'riced' up your phone.
i dont think its any more ricing up than putting on a case. isn't ricing up to give it some sort of performance enhancement that doesn't really enhance anything?
Well I know why some of you don't like it. as my wife does not like it too she also has a nexus and she likes the feel of 'naked phone' if i may say .
My only problem with cases is that if i use them then my desk-dock becomes useless. plus i dont like always to be super careful about keeping my phone anywhere and scratch it.
you know what, it looks pretty good but the only problem is the weave is too large. maybe get a smaller weave vinyl.
care to share the stencil?

Sell me your desk dock.. Please please please please!!
FYI you guys can get overstock Carbon fiber sheets and m3 adhesive strips like used above from a guy named racingjeff on ebay. What this stuff is microthin carbonfiber with m3 adhesive on the back. They use it to make the CF dash boards in teh bling bling honda's you see on the road. I've deal with Jeff for years buying real overstock 3mm CF sheets. Guys a really good guy.
Personally I don't think it looks bad at all. I wouldn't do an entire phone in carbon fiber but it looks nice enough to me.
I'm going to cover my HD2 battery door using the same carbon fiber sheet. I'm also considering buying a couple of battery doors from ebay and experiment a little. I want to polish one battery door to a "mirrior finish" and I want to try painting one using Krylon just to see how it will come out.
I've painted all sorts of crap like Blackberry housings, golf clubs, furniture and I have the technique and prep work down to a science so we'll see how it goes and I'll make sure to post pics when complete.
I applaud dude for having the balls to experiment!

I like it but the CF grids are a little large. I would like a tighter patterns. Heres the guy I use. Granted its not going to be $8 because its real CF.

Email him and tell him what your planning to do, he's super cool and will send out samples and all his stuff is the real deal, not look alike CF.
Is there a ay you help me out, on how to make the vinyl go so nicely around the corners? specially on the curvy parts... ive tried b4 with other vinals, and i cant get it to go nice on the curves, i always get extra stuff
Has anyone found a good quality armband that fits the Infuse?
http://www.cellphoneshop.net/i997armband.html
Has anyone actually used this armband that can give us a review? It's ugly as sin and looks like a cheap Chinese knockoff. Unfortunately, I have scoured the net and it's the only one I can find and there aren't any reviews to speak of.

Can't say I blame them. I still need one though and this seems to be the only thing I can find. But I need to make sure all the controls work ok with the armband. The Infuse seems to have some very sensitive controls. I barely hit a button and volume changes or the power off menu comes up, etc.
I really want a good armband if anyone sees anything else. I like running with my phone for music and the GPS app. Would be a shame to have to go without it.
That band looks like a piece of garbage. I am def interested in finding an armband for this phone too. Please let us know if you can find one and I'll do the same.

I have that armband. It's a super generic badly cut armband, but it barely fit my HD2. I have to recut the hole for the headphone slot, but it worked well enough at staying on my arm.
Cheap, ugly, but gets the job done. Just don't let anyone you know see you.
i have the Tune Belt, Inc. Model #AB83 it fits very snuggly and I really like it. I have worn it running and bike riding and it never slips and really seems well made.

i bought mine at Academy.
all i have with me is my phone or i would post a pic of my phone in the case, but ill post a pic of the case itself in just a min.

I got it last night and I can tell you that the build quality was FAAAR beyond what I was anticipating. I was very weary of ditching my wallet and combing it with my phone case but so far I am very very pleased. I can take some pic of it and post the album if you guys would like.
Blame the blurry pics on the GS3... lol http://imgur.com/a/yC21q
How easy is it to get the phone in and out of it? I have the Mercury, which I am pretty happy with although it is tough to get the phone out of the TPU liner due to the hard back.

Not really sure what you mean. Why would I be pulling it out of the case all the time?
To answer as best I understand. Its fairly difficult. You have to pry at it a little bit. Which leads me to believe my phone is safe and not going fly out when I yank it out of my pocket or pick it up.

For me, I only use a case like this when I am traveling or playing golf. The rest of the time it is in the oem bumper due to it fitting better in the car mount and working on my orb charger.
It sounds as though it is pretty much like the Mercury in the sense that it is a little tough to remove. Is the part the phone goes in soft or hard plastic?
Thanx!

Sorry for the late reply. It has a soft rubbery feel
What keeps it closed? Magnet?
Hi all,
Quad Lock, known for their great iPhones bike mounts, have started the production and testing of the same for GS4.
I think this could well be the best bike mount to come, after all the very bulky and ugly ones that are on the market right now. Besides, it can serve as car mount or belt clip by using a separate accessory.
it is clearly a niche product, but so far it looks great:

What do you think ?
Price is kind of high, if you ask me. I wouldn't spend more than $50.00 USD It looks pretty nice though. For $70.00 however, I would expect a little better protection from the backside too, with mud or water splashing up from the tires and making sure that the water resistant display cover is really snug so a big gust of wind doesn't send it flying.
I like Topeak's version a bit better, and would like if they came out with a case for the S4 that fit. I'm using my iPhone as a dedicated bike computer, getting wifi from my S4 tucked away in my undertube bag.
The Topeak lets you adjust the angle and orientation, so you can use your phone as a handlebar cam if you wanted.

Well yeah it is a high price, but it also looks much better than the alternatives that are lame ports from car mounts.
Otherwise there is this the rockform bike mount, http://www.rokform.com/v3-bike-mount/ but it is even more expansive, and it looks a little too massive. Very robust though.
Just compared them all, the quad does seem to be the most full featured and i think maybe my thoughts regarding the case were a little harsh. i would probably die a little inside if my phone got water damage from a puddle. ill probably end up getting the quad and just take it slow in the wet areas.
Thank You for sharing
Both Quadlock and Rockform are very COOL mounts. :good:
Does anyone have bike mount that works with most smartphones? It would be nice to have one mount for several phones, so I don't need to buy one every year or so.
Thanks for sharing.

I had this one beforei got my quadlock. It's great. I do a lot of distance riding and have taken some hard falls with no issue's. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007WEQIX0/ref=pd_aw_sims_1?pi=SL500_SS115
Anyone have any recommendations for a good armband for the S6?
I have an Ionic armband from my S4 that I have been using in a pinch. The S6 fits in it mostly, though it is actually a bit too tall. You might see if they have one for the S6.
Is it like this one?

If so, I may give it a try.
Been using the gear beast one without issue. Was looking though for one with a longer strap due to bicep size. Feels study and fits well. Not the tightest though, as even with a tpu case phone can move a bit, but again gets the job done, and feels very secure when doing intensive cardio.

Hope that helps.

i will let you know if it sucks.
I think that at their heart, they all suck. My sweat makes the velcro come unadhered (if that's a word) from the strap over time, and I have to buy another. It's a good thing they're pretty cheap.
