I don't think this will ever happen. Simple because the Evo isn't popular enough. The HD2 is a worldwide device. Someone would have create a new bootloader which would be no small task.

lets try to keep it civil and on topic in here. some of us are very serious about this. but yeah i know alot of people want that app to work on android.
The HD 2 didn't start out as an Android phone. It started as a WM6 device. Would that have helped in the porting process?

I think the problem would be licensing. Android is Open Source where as Windows isn't. I think, according to XDA, that would be warez even though it isn't "technically" warez (like stealing a program). I'm sure someone could explain it better than me.
I would love to see this though!

It would be wares just as much as the port for the hd2 is wares. so if they can have their port, we could have ours.

Not really, the HD2 was originally a WM device. It was licensed to be a WM phone where as the EVO wasn't.

Ehh I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Most of the people that run their social sites aren't to tied in with what's actually going on. You can look at their moderators posts on the lg forums and tell that.
But at least its a glimmer of hope. If they would just open source their development and drivers our devs could already have a fully working build.

I was thinking the same thing, lol. But i do believe the G2x will get official ICS. The device is more than capable, i just hope they hired some new devs that can teach LG how to code properly this time around.
I didn't intentionally "hi-jack" this thread, just didn't think that a guy posting about an image that we could have taken (if I'm not mistaken) with the test builds we had from azuske/daemon team. I have actually seen/handled a samsung phone running WP7.
Being the nerd I am, i checked it out, it was very very similar to iOS in the sense that it was "do this, do that" and offered barely ANY customization features, shocking right, a closed-source OS system which offers little to none in the field of customization???
Yepp @OP not sure if trolling, but impossible to get WP OS on any other phones then the phones it's native to.

No official ports that I have seen. However, if you like the look of WP7,
Get Launcher7 from the market. Spend the buck and get the donate version it is a lot better.
Then get WP7 Lock lite for the lockscreen.
Then WP7 notifications for the messaging.
And probably the WP7 Dialer
Once all that is loaded, it will look and act like WP7, except with all the advantages of android.
Ill let you the truth, even though its closed source, its possible to get a port...but news will travel fast and once Microsoft hears of it, they'll butt in and shut it down.

But the main problem is what XDA is not central place now. Many devs went from XDA to their forums. And it is too hard to gather info from their portals. I (as common user) don't want register and monitor 100500 sites for something new. I want see that new ROM will appear here at XDA.
Spreading (diversity) of information at thousand places is severe headache. And does not matter user or dev are you.
I would assume that this policy they have is for sharing a ROM on another forum as well. Check the link, it's their porting policy/ROM inclusions policy.

i don't think something like a 3D ICS ROM could be possible to begin with we are starting to get limited with memory available and on top of that we will need a dedicated GPU for the 3D effects you want to have(correct me if im wrong), why would you like to have something like that? in my opinion is just useless and wasted resources. no offense and i don't intend to sound rude but i do think is useless to do something like that.

Yeah you are right but it would open up alot of doors when it comes to innovation, it won't be perfect the first time, but that's the purpose, sooner or later it'll be perfected and also alot of other Devs by that time would have already taken the creative step to unique ROMs and custom ROMs would be revolutionized

i hear you, sometimes is good to come up with ideas, i myself have been working on learning aobut porting and compiling roms, once i finish with that i would love to jump on launcher creations as i have several ideas myself, time is the only problem but i think i can do it.
I encorage you to do the same my friend, i know developing on android can be hard and more difficult when nobody can explain things and you have to rely on whatever information you have, probably you can be the first dev with a custom 3D fully functional ICS rom? , would love it if a developer could explain to me many things but until that happens this forum has been the best friend i have, pretty much every question i had so far has been answered by older threads.
do you have an idea of how you want this 3D looking rom ? can you come up with an image of this rom?
here is one of my ideas
