I-mate 9502: MMS&GPRS not working, Can't send SMS (Some Service Provider)

Dear All Guru....
I currently purchase Imate 9502, everything runs well until I found out that it's can't send MMS ???And Can't use 3G, or even GPRS???But can send SMS.
So i try to change the SIM card to other Service Provider, it become even worse, All MMS,GPRS,3G and SMS. all Fall to the earth all seems not to be fuction well....
I wonder any1 having this problems????
The phone is GREAT but this issues seem to bother me more and more

hi, first of all, I would like to ask you to : please....flash the ROM using the latest WM6.1 official ROM from the imate website...I think that WILL FIX ur problem...I use imate9502, and this device is really ultimate for me

Yes the unit is working fine and good, just the problem is the Messaging and internet feature.
I do flash to 6.1 version 1.73 and curretly use 1.77 (official) still same result. i don't know what is the problem even imate personell also haven't gv me any new since 2 months ago
I go to registry but still can't find any hint
The setting for the MMS,GPRS, all already correct ( using manual and imate configurator ) no hope also.

Hi h9s,
I've found your post googling for something else. I suppose you have already solved your problem with internet connection by now. Please, disregard this post in this case. Anyway, I wonder if you have already changed the GPRS authentication method. Go to Start > Settings > Connection tab > GPRS Authentication. Its defaulted to CHAP. Change it to PAP instead and give it a try.

Cannot update imate configurator
Hi I cannot connect through my GPRS, seems like something wrong with the connection setting. Currently I'm using Satelindo (Indonesia), and I tried to download the imate configurator file from https://www.imate.com/Support_OperatorSettings.aspx but when I try to install it always says The previous version must uninstalled before, and when I click yes, it always failed to uninstall the previous version & the instalation unsuccesfull. Anyone could help me? Thanks in advance

You see, I find i-mate's Configurator to be pretty useless in detecting my carrier's data here in Brazil, for what I removed its .lnk item from my \Windows\StartUp a long time ago, and I manually provided my carrier's data (GPRS, MMS). Please, consider doing the same.

Windows Mobile 6.0

I have been writing on this same topic over and over again. Following is my problem:
I bought HTC Prophet/O2 Neo and it works well with Windows Mobile 5. I wanted to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 and other higher versions. I can upgrade to WM 6 as well.
But following are the problems I face with WM6 and higher versions:
1) When I send a short message (SMS) to someone my phone works normally but if someone calls me the phone rings at their end but does not ring at my end. I switch off the phone (put it on standby) and then it works okay.
2) IF the phone loses the signal anywhere it just keeps on hunting for the signal. In the meantime it shows the green light blinking indicating it does have a signal. Now if in the meantime any one calls me up the phone again rings at their end but I do not get any incoming calls. I do not get any missed call alerts either.
I have reverted back to Jester's ROM in WM5.0 it is working fine again with the following problems:
1) The voice quality is not so great and calls regularly get dropped in areas where signal is not too strong
2) The contacts do not have options such as "File As"
3) When you want to dial and you put in the first few numbers for e.g. for dialling SAM you put in 726 it will display all entries related to 726. Though SAM is a part of these entries it should be the first entry as it is someone I call more often.
4) When you are playing music and put the phone on standby the music stops!
I request you to advise me on how should I upgrade to 6.0 or further in the best possible way or help me resolve the problems in WM5 with appropriate apps
Also one thing I wonder is what IPL/SPL/GSM should be there ideally for WM6.
Also FYI my friend has the same phone upgraded to WM 6.5 and it works perfectly for him. I put my SIM card in his phone and it worked fine as well.

-this might have to do with correct settings did you check your phone settings or if not did you hard reset after flashing a ROM whether is WM 5 or 6?

-this doesnt happen to me maybe there is really a network problem or better yet check your phone settings again there might have been an appropriate setting for this situation

Also one thing I wonder is what IPL/SPL/GSM should be there ideally for WM6.nope IPL doesnt matter SPL should be HardSPLed if your G3 you should have 2.G3.4PDA or G4 2.G4.4PDA (read more on how you will know if your device is G3 or G4 on Prophet WIKI THIS IS IMPORTANT BEFORE FLASHING ANY ROM GSM its only for getting phone signals etc etc and sometimes this matter when your battery drains so fast

I Need help to upgrade this system to WIndows 6.0/6.1 and also I request yo to guide me how to install this version in existing Phone.
Also I am facing a connection problem with my service provider Airtel. He says they donot have this phone in their list. They are unable to suggest manual settings.

Qtek 2020/Himalaya No Service problem

Hi all,
I have a problem with my Qtek 2020/Himalaya/PH10B displaying no service and not gaining any signal what so ever. I flashed it with Ather's Windows Mobile 6.1 Dark Edition. The signal still didn't work even then! I updated the radio from 1.14 to 1.17 and still the same problem, stuck another working sim in my current phone and still nothing! used different working network sims and still nothing. it's a clean install meaning no apps apart from what came with the Operating System.
another note, radio is enabled but the signal bar at the top right shows an Explanation mark where the level of signal should be
Please can anyone help me with this issue?

sounds like a hardware malfunction with the sim slot in the phone

It ask for the sim's pin number upon startup, i'm able to browse my sim's contact's? so it can't be the sim slot that's the problem?

No 3G Signal And Can't Make Video Call

Hi guys, i can't make a video call. I don't know what are the problem but i have done the setting accordingly. Did i have to go through the hard reset or i miss something else? Every time i make a video call, the message reply "3G network is not available". My phone display on the top bar "E" instead of "3G" even though my phone line is 3G. Please help me for this problem. Thank you

Thank you for your points of advice, but i am in the area where 3G network is available bcoz my friend beside me using touch diamond and shows 3G and able to make a video call. So, i tried to upgrade my touch pro with WM6.5 and plus the latest version of radio rom and it really nice upgrading it but yet still can't reach 3G signal or make any video call. I hv go through and read the forum where there are few guys complaint about 3G and i did not find any points of solution of touch pro problem. Please do help me, thank you.

I'm not sure if this can help, but you could try the latest official ROM and radio, and see if it picks up 3g. Normally if you have the settings on AUTO, and you are in a 3g area, you should get 3g on the phone.

in my case it was a matter of the SIM card. I had a very old one from 1994 and as my provider gave me a new one 3G was available...

Thanks for the advice of changing my SIM card with the new one from the line provider n thats maybe the solution of my problem instead. But i hv not manage yet to do so. For all of the friends information, i hv been upgrade my touchpro with [ROM][WWE][14 Dec 10] Exquisite 4.24 WM 6.5 (23151) for Touch Pro [GSM] just a few days ago n hopping that can solve the problem of can't making a video calls. But it still regrets n i still can't make a video calls even though the radio version is 1.14.25.35. I hv been calling the line provider asking about the problem n the answer was maybe my phone has the problem. That was the very upset answer giving to me. So, i would like to get some advice of changing/upgrade the rom to |Dec 21|RAPH| .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-|Energy|21916|28244-Sense 2019/2.1/ Titanium since this rom seems to be the latest compare with the above mentioned. Furthermore under the description they was mentioned the "The 28244 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.3 series.....". Hope anyone can help me with this problem n thank you in advance.

[Q] Nubia Z5s, WiFi Issue, Hardware or SoftWare?

I have posted this message on another thread, but it's important so I create a special thread for it.
Indeed I received my Z5s yesterday and I have 1 week to find out if my WIFI issue is hardware or software. In the case of hardware, I need to send back my phone to china .
I received the phone rooted, so if I want to install the last update from nubia (1.30) I have different manipulation to do. Howevver, I am afraid that if I touch the rom, the seller can tell me "you changed the rom, before it was working so it's your fault. we don't give you back the money!".
So I am waiting he allows me to put back the official rom 1.30. By the way if anybody has a good tutorial (in english) about unroot and changing ROM, I would be very grateful
There is the description of my WIFI issue:
First (yesterday) I couldn't find any WIFI and then after a factory reset, I could find some wifi but not everything. By example in my laboratory, the general WIFI of the school appears (and is working) but not the wifi of my lab... Anyway I found out than others WIFI were missing too. (Maybe 15 were alright on 20).
Now (today), in my lab, I can't even find 1 WiFi! I have tried the factory reset and it still doesn't work. In the description of the last update (1.30), I found "6. 修复wifi小概率无法打开的问题 = Small probability can not open wifi fix problems".
It looks like my problem fix except that in my case it is not a small probability but it (almost) always happen...
So I need your expert opinion, do you think it is more probably hardware issue or software issue? Does any Z5s owner have this problem (sometimes or alway)? I've bought the phone in Eternal Team on Aliexpress, I don't know what is their custom ROM, did anyone buy the phone there and know what is the ROM ?
